“Yes!” The old woman with the cane looked slightly solemn.
“That is a very powerful force, and they are bloodthirsty. Tens of thousands of years ago, they caused a massive bloodbath in the seventh-tier star domain.”
“In the end, most of their high-end combat power was eradicated by the Heaven Alliance, which spent a lot of manpower and resources. The remaining clan members were then driven to The Wilderness.”
“In The Wilderness, because the clan members were severely weakened, they kept a low profile for the first few years and stayed in a corner.”
“But after ten thousand years, the nether clan slowly recovered their vitality and began to reveal their true nature. It didn’t take long for them to become the overlords of The Wilderness.”
“Who sealed them later? Was it also someone from the Heaven Alliance?” Casey asked.
“The Heaven Alliance generally doesn’t interfere with matters in The Wilderness!” The old woman with the cane shook her head. “It was done by the expert who sealed the Silent Ruins Sky Realm!”
“Oh, it was him!” Casey nodded.
“Senior, will Miss Sanaa and the others be in danger?” Night Orchid asked.
“I don’t know!” The old woman with the cane shook her head. “Because I don’t know the limits of either Miss Sanaa or the current nether clan!”
“Understood!” Night Orchid responded.
About an hour later, the group landed at the entrance of a valley. They looked around and saw a pavilion not far ahead.
The pavilion was quite ordinary, except that it was two or three times larger than usual, with no other special features.
“Ma’ma, is the teleportation channel inside the pavilion?” Casey asked. “Why can’t we see where the entrance is?”
“It’s hidden by an array!” The old woman with the cane replied and led everyone to a spot not far from the pavilion.
Then, she raised her cane and drew a mysterious pattern in the air, sending it towards the pavilion.
The next moment, a strong aura emanated from inside the pavilion, followed by ripples similar to a barrier spreading around it.
“Let’s go inside!”
After speaking, the old woman with the cane led Billy and the others into the pavilion, where they indeed found a teleportation channel.
After an unknown amount of time, the group emerged from the channel into the air.
Billy and his companions looked around and saw an endless desert stretching out before them.
Apart from some scattered ground plants and oddly shaped rocks, the entire space appeared desolate, with spiritual energy levels significantly lower than in Skylight City.
“Senior, is this place still part of the Silent Ruins Sky Realm?” White Tiger asked.
“Of course!” The old woman with the cane nodded. “However, this area has been sealed by that expert, and the only connection to the outside world is through that teleportation channel.”
“Where is the passage to The Wilderness?” Stout asked.
“Follow me!” The old woman with the cane said and led everyone forward through the air.
The desert was vast. They flew for tens of thousands of kilometers, yet the terrain below remained unchanged.
After a while, the old woman led them to land.
They had arrived!
Ahead of them, several hundred meters away, was a faintly visible ‘wall’!
Calling it a wall wasn’t entirely accurate because it wasn’t a solid wall but didn’t look like a barrier wall either!
It was both real and unreal, making it hard to discern!
What shocked everyone was that this ‘wall’ was boundless in both width and height, as if it divided the sky itself.
Standing beneath this ‘wall,’ they felt an inexplicable sense of powerlessness. Compared to this colossal structure, humans were no more significant than specks of dust.
“Senior, is this the cosmic barrier leading to higher-tier star domains?” Casey asked, looking at the old woman with the cane.
“Yes!” The old woman nodded.
“Is it really impossible to pass through this barrier?” Stout said as he stepped forward. “Let me try!”
As he spoke, he gathered his full strength and punched towards the ‘wall.’
A thunderous boom echoed as Stout was sent flying a thousand meters away!
In mid-air, he spat out a mouthful of blood and tumbled several times before coming to a stop on the ground, his face pale.
“Hmm?!” Billy and the others were taken aback.
“Stout, are you okay?” Felicia turned and asked.
“It hurts!” Stout gritted his teeth as he got up.
“Ma’ma, what’s going on?” White Tiger asked, looking at the old woman with the cane.
“Rebound!” The old woman replied. “The stronger the force you use against the barrier, the stronger it rebounds back at you. In other words, you’re hitting yourself!”
“So amazing?” Everyone was stunned.
“Does this apply to everyone?” White Tiger asked further.
“At least everyone I know!” The old woman nodded again. “Unless someone is strong enough to tear open this barrier directly, they can come and go freely.”
“How thick is this wall?” Judge asked.
“I don’t know!” The old woman shook her head. “No one has measured it; it could be thousands or even millions of miles thick!”
“Alright!” Judge’s mouth twitched slightly.
“Senior, where is the entrance to The Wilderness?” Night Orchid asked.
“Over there!” The old woman said and led them along the base of the wall to the right.
After about fifteen minutes, they descended from mid-air.
“Look up there!” Felicia pointed towards the barrier.
Billy and his companions turned to see a section of wall about tens of meters above ground that looked almost solid.
It wasn’t very large, about several hundred square meters in area. Its material was indiscernible, but there was a faint Yin-Yang Eight Trigrams Diagram covering about two-thirds of its surface.
“Senior, is that the entrance to the passage?” Felicia asked, looking at the old woman with the cane.
“Yes!” The old woman replied.
“The people of The Wilderness spent countless years finding this weakest point in the barrier and then spent countless more years building a teleportation channel down from The Wilderness.”
“But this wall doesn’t look like a passage!” Soul Chaser commented.
“There must be an array!” Night Orchid replied. “Didn’t Miss Sanaa say that an expert sealed the entrance with an array?”
“But if it’s sealed, how do people from The Wilderness come down?” Soul Chaser continued to ask.
“The array seal has weakened. A Prime Source Realm expert can barely tear open a gap.” The old woman with the cane replied.
“If they can already tear open a gap, why are they still so fixated on Skystone?” Casey asked.
“Skystone can not only break this array but also reinforce this seal!” The old woman continued.
“Moreover, Skystone is key to both breaking and reinforcing the seal of Silent Ruins Sky Realm. It’s both a key to higher-tier star domains and a tool for strengthening seals!”
“Understood!” Casey and others nodded.
“Senior, how do we break this array?” Billy asked.
“It’s simple. You just need to insert Skystone into that black hole in the center!” The old woman pointed to two holes in the center of the Yin-Yang Eight Trigrams Diagram-one black and one white.
“What is the white hole for?” Azure Dragon asked.
“The black hole is for breaking; the white hole is for repairing!” The old woman replied again.
“Got it!” Azure Dragon nodded.
“I’ll give it a try!” Billy said as he flew up to the Eight Trigrams Diagram and inserted Skystone into the black hole.
The next moment, a powerful aura swept out from the Eight Trigrams Diagram, forcing Billy to retreat by a hundred meters.
At the same time, the Eight Trigrams Diagram began to rotate slowly and then faster and faster.
