In the following month, everyone, including Billy, entered the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space. For them, it was merely a quiet place to train; they no longer needed to refine the energy talismans within the space. The Wilderness had contributed a significant amount of training resources, enough to last them for a while.
The month passed quickly. With the help of abundant resources, everyone, including Billy, advanced several minor levels. Billy’s bloodline power helped him jump from first-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm to fourth-rank Holy Realm. Tommy and the others reached seventh-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm. Azure Dragon, Azure Fang, Bob, and Ian Blade advanced to eighth-rank Holy Ancestry Realm. Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and others reached fifth-rank Holy Ancestry Realm.
Casey and Stout emerged from the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space and each found a place to face their Thunder Tribulation, successfully stepping into second-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm.
During this month, Billy also spent considerable time on the ‘Heaven Killer’ blade technique. After twenty days, he achieved minor success, reaching the Great Perfection Realm. He was confident that soon, Heaven Killer would replace Phantom Blade Technique.
One day after the month ended, Billy found Ricky Cunningham and spoke with him for a couple of hours. He was about to head to The Wilderness and needed to explain some matters to Ricky Cunningham, including issues related to the sixth-rank star domain. Ricky Cunningham was now completely loyal to Billy and followed his instructions without question.
After talking with Ricky Cunningham, Billy gathered everyone in an open area within the City Lord’s Mansion. He instructed everyone to throw their swords and knives into the Yin-yang Infinite Furnace. He also tossed in his Bloodshadow Fury Blade and Nether Shield. However, before Billy could close the lid, the Bloodshadow Fury Blade floated out on its own and hovered above the Infinite Furnace.
“What’s going on?” everyone was puzzled.
“Try again!” Billy was equally confused. He grabbed the Bloodshadow Fury Blade and threw it back in. But just like before, it floated out again after a moment.
“Hmm?!” everyone was stunned again.
“Is it really that amazing? I don’t believe it!” Stout flew over the Infinite Furnace, grabbed the blade, threw it in again, and quickly closed the lid.
“Let’s see if you can escape now…”
Before he finished speaking, there was a loud bang as the lid of the Infinite Furnace shot into the air. The Bloodshadow Fury Blade floated out again and returned to Billy.
Everyone was bewildered.
“You ignorant fools!” A voice echoed in their ears. It was the voice of the previous owner of the Nine Dragons Cauldron, a man in white robes.
“Do you really think a mere Yin-yang Infinite Furnace can reforge that blade? It’s already giving you face by not splitting the furnace in half!”
Everyone was speechless.
“Senior, isn’t the Yin-yang Infinite Furnace one of the top ten Sacred Objects? Why can’t it reforge the Bloodshadow Fury Blade?” Vermilion Bird asked.
“Are the top ten Sacred Objects that powerful?” The man in white continued, “Except for the top three, the rest are trash!”
To many people, Sacred Objects were invaluable treasures, but to this man, they were mere trash?
“Senior, do you know what kind of treasure this Bloodshadow Fury Blade is?” Azure Dragon asked.
“Why ask so many questions now? You’ll find out when you reach a higher star domain!” The man in white interrupted.
“Alright then!” Azure Dragon sighed and asked another question, “Senior, do you know about The Wilderness?”
“No,” the man in white replied. “It’s just a place of exile. What’s there to know? I’m going back to sleep; don’t bother me!”
After a while, Billy put away the Bloodshadow Fury Blade and began using the Infinite Furnace to forge other weapons. After a couple of hours, everything returned to normal.
Everyone retrieved their weapons and examined them. There didn’t seem to be any visible changes.
“Stout, spar with me; let’s test this blade!” Bob said, holding his sword.
Stout shrugged. “Try this instead!” He waved his hand and formed a barrier wall capable of withstanding a full-force attack from a third-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm warrior.
“Alright!” Bob responded and slashed at the barrier with full strength.
There was a loud explosion as both the blade light and barrier shattered, causing cracks in the void.
“Impressive!” Stout remarked.
“The Yin-yang Infinite Furnace is indeed remarkable!” Bob nodded and looked at Billy. “Boss, should we test the Nether Shield?”
Before Bob could finish speaking, they heard footsteps approaching. They turned to see an old woman with a cane.
“Senior!” Billy greeted her with everyone else following suit.
“Advancing three minor levels in a month is acceptable,” she said after examining them. She then looked at Billy. “Have you decided whether to stay here and wait for people from The Wilderness or go there yourself?”
“Senior, with my current strength, can I withstand the spatial turbulence in that passage?” Billy asked.
“I’m not sure; we’ll have to test it first,” she replied.
“Shall we go now?” Billy asked.
“Yes,” she nodded. “If you’ve decided to go to The Wilderness, we should leave now. Something has happened there; we need to hurry!”
“What happened in The Wilderness?” Billy was puzzled.
“We’ll talk on our way to the Teleportation Array entrance,” she said.
“Alright!” Billy nodded.
They flew towards the outskirts of Skylight City.
“Senior, what exactly happened in The Wilderness?” Casey asked mid-air.
“A month ago, Miss Sanaa learned that people from The Wilderness had gathered four or five thousand strong in Silent Ruins Sky Realm. In her anger, she killed many powerful figures from The Wilderness,” she replied.
“How many did she kill?” Stout asked curiously.
“A lot,” she answered. “At least half of all Supreme Ancestry Realm and above experts in The Wilderness perished.”
Everyone gasped in shock.
“She went on a rampage?”
“What happened next?” Casey continued to ask.
“To counter Miss Sanaa, various forces in The Wilderness reformed alliances and summoned their Ancestors,” she replied. “Moreover, in their desperation, they recklessly unsealed the nether clan that had been sealed for ten thousand years.”
“The nether clan?” Everyone was stunned.
