Chapter 2326: Hard to Conceal

Book:Mr. Marsh's Twins Published:2024-10-27

This made Summer think of herself and Spencer… Ten years… How many decades does one have in a lifetime? Some people, once they enter your heart, you can love them deeply for a lifetime, even if they are not by your side. “I believe that too,” Summer said with a happy smile. “Having someone in your heart is a blissful thing.”
Agnes, stroking her little cat with downcast eyes, said somewhat sadly, “Sometimes fate arranges for two people to meet. Although it may not arrange for them to be together, it will definitely make them learn something from each other.”
“Do you have something on your mind?” Her sister saw through her at a glance.
The girl looked up and shook her head with a smile. “No, just feeling a bit sentimental.”
“Bubu, tell me honestly, do you have someone you like?”
“…” She met her sister’s gaze and answered with silence.
This time she did not deny it because her feelings were about to overflow. She could no longer contain them; they permeated the air around her. She often thought of him recently. She knew her affection was destined to be unrequited… The little cat was like a ray of light; it illuminated her but was untouchable and fleeting.
“Can you tell me who he is?”
“…” She had no words to describe her feelings; she didn’t even know his name.
Agnes shook her head with a smile but felt a pang of sorrow inside. She wanted to protect her little piece of happiness from anyone’s prying eyes.
At night, the moonlight was bright.
Tom Fritz’s Volvo stopped at Fritz Manor. The butler, dressed in a coat with golden double-breasted buttons, opened the car door for him and bowed respectfully. “Good evening, young master.”
Tom Fritz stepped out of the car holding a cup of warm pudding. “Good evening,” he replied politely and gracefully.
As Tom walked towards the brightly lit villa, the milk tea in his hand seemed out of place with his demeanor. The butler closed the car door and followed him at a distance of two meters, astonished by the milk tea in Tom’s hand. Was it really milk tea? How could the young master be drinking milk tea? Did he queue up to buy it himself?
In the butler’s mind, the young master would never waste time buying junk food. He was someone who drank tea and was very particular about it; he couldn’t get used to ordinary tea. In any case, Professor Fritz would never drink milk tea; it didn’t match his status at all.
Before entering the house, Tom’s phone rang. Holding the pudding milk tea in one hand, he took out his phone with the other and answered it. “Yes?”
“Good evening, Mr. Fritz.” The person on the other end greeted him first and then reported, “I found Jimmy’s contact number. There’s only one Jimmy, right?”
“Yes, send me the number,” Tom replied calmly without any emotional fluctuation.
“Alright.”
As his long legs stepped into the house, the call ended just in time. Jane, dressed elegantly in a purple gown and arranging roses in a vase on the sofa, looked up when she heard footsteps at the door. “You’re back? Why so late today?” Her eyes fell on the milk tea in his hand with some confusion.
“There was some work at the company,” Tom replied casually. “So I got delayed.”
“You’re lying.” Jane stood up with a gentle voice. “Your father called; he said you left the company at six.”
