Felix’s p. o. v
“Here.” Chase whispered while extending his hand towards me which had a small cut on it.
For the past few days he tried to make me feed but I refused.
Despite treating him coldly he still came back to clean my room and look after me.
Although I didn’t speak to him, he bathed me, dressed me up and fixed my hair.
I felt bad doing that to him but I was very shocked, sad and depressed since my parents death. I only wished they could have talked to me about everything or laughed with me one last time.
I wasn’t mad at Ian for what he did because that’s what they wanted. To die.
I didn’t know how to mourn them besides keeping quiet and crying my eyes out whenever I thought of them.
“You won’t drink again today right?” He asked softly then sighed heavily.
“Anyway, next week I won’t be around.” He whispered then leaned in and brushed a strand of my hair back.
“I’ll be going back home.” He said as I frowned.
“Remember what I told you that time?. You and I are bonded together. So you being like this affects me too and I feel your pain. I want to hold your hand so I can make you feel better but at the same time I want you to be alone like you want.” He said then continued to speak.
“We all had reasons why we left our homes. I was fascinated by what you were. That’s what I told you when it wasn’t the actual truth. I ran away because my parents were forcing me to settle down with someone I felt nothing for. I left everything behind just to start a new life for myself. And when I did, I began working and doing some research on different supernatural beings, that’s how I became fascinated with vampires. My parents and I still talk to each other and they understand that I love you, but despite that they can’t stop pushing me to her.” He said sadly.
“Back in my territory we have a lot of portions and one specific portion can take away emotional pain. When you drink it, you will still remember everything but you won’t be hurt. I’ll leave tomorrow and come back once I acquire it for you.” He said then stood up.
How exactly was he going to get it?.
The portion was definitely hard to find and it was kept a secret between them because in all my years this was the very first time I was hearing about it.
He turned to walk away when I moved from the bed and stood up.
He quickly turned and looked at me.
“Felix.” He called with a surprised expression on his face.
“I’m starving.” I whispered huskily.
He smiled then moved closer and embraced me.
“I’m glad.” He whispered back then pulled back.
“Here.” He said happily when he moved his hand to my mouth.
I looked at the small cut then inhaled the scent of his blood deeply.
I pushed his hand away and moved my hand to his neck.
“Not the hand.” I answered softly.
He moved and sat at the edge of the bed.
“Come and feed. Feel free to bite any part of my body.” He said.
I moved and stood in front of him.
“Chase, were you planning to marry the girl your parents wanted to force on you just so you could acquire that portion?” I asked seriously when I moved and sat on his lap facing him.
He looked me in the eyes with a sad expression then leaned his head against my chest.
“I was willing to do anything and everything they say just so I could have it.” He answered, then raised his head and looked at me.
“You don’t have to go there because I don’t need the potion.” I said softly.
I wasn’t going to let him be with anyone but me. He was mine no matter what.
“But it will help with your recovery.” He exclaimed.
“I understand Chase, but I’m not human, remember?. What I need to recover isn’t a portion, it’s blood And you by my side. So don’t go that side. Stay with me.” I answered.
He kept quiet for a few minutes then nodded.
“If that’s what you wish for Samantha, then I won’t go that side. In return, promise me, as of today you will be feeding whenever you get hungry. Also, do greet Jeannie and Lee everyday when they wake up.” He said.
I folded my arms and stared at him in silence.
“Since that day, Jeannie has been unhappy and Lee has been very quiet. We all miss you and the house feels different now. ” He whispered softly
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and kissed his cheek.
I was so drawn into my own world that I couldn’t see that they too were struggling because of me.
“I’m so sorry for everything. I didn’t mean to push you guys away. I was just sad and I felt like I needed time for myself.” I said in a low tone when he wrapped his arms around me
“We understand, so don’t worry about anything.” He answered.
I pulled back and looked him in the eyes.
“Tomorrow morning, I’ll prepare something for everyone to eat, and I promise to feed whenever I get hungry.” I said as he smiled warmly.
“That would be great but you don’t have to force yourself.” He answered.
“I am not forcing myself, I want to.” I replied honestly.
“Okay, then I’ll sleep here so tomorrow I can wake up early and give you a hand.” He said.
I smiled then leaned in and rested my head against his shoulder.
“Doesn’t your hand or body hurt?” I asked in concern.
“No because everytime I cut myself, I drink a portion to heal.” He answered softly.
I inhaled his scent deeply then pressed my lips against his neck earning a low groan from him.
“I really want to feed now.” I whispered softly.
“Sure, go ahead.” He answered then rubbed his hands on my back.
I grazed my fangs against his skin slowly before sinking them in his skin.
My body instantly relaxed and I felt at peace as I sucked in his delicious blood.
A sigh of relief and enjoyment went past my lips as I closed my eyes and drank while keeping in my mind not to drain him dry.
