I stood looking at the door to the cottage sadly.
What was I going to tell Whitney if she was to ask me how I went?. I didn’t want her to feel sad or know that the twins were with me. Although we now trusted August, it wasn’t a good idea leaving him alone to manage everything. The territory was too big and the members there were at times stubborn as hell.
I was just hoping she wasn’t going to ask a thing.
After Ian had gone, Lee created two portals for us. One for the twins that led straight to the territory and another one for me that led here to the cottage.
There was nothing left to say or do, and what was done couldn’t be undone.
The door opened and Whitney came out running.
I happily embraced her when she ran into my arms.
“Leo.” She whispered softly.
“I’m back.” I said then rested my head against hers.
It felt so damn good to have her in my arms again.
She looked at me without a word for a few seconds then her smile vanished.
“You feel sad.” She said Softly while she took my hand, linking it to hers.
“Did something bad happen where you went?” She asked.
“Well, we killed Felix’s parents and it broke her heart.” I answered honestly.
“I’m sorry to hear that.” She whispered.
I smiled at her then nodded.
Felix was a strong woman who went through so much in life. I had no doubt that all she needed was time to recover. I just hoped it would be soon.
“Well, besides that, I’m glad to be back here.” I answered softly.
“I cooked something nice for you.” She said while we walked to the door.
“Really?” I asked as we went inside the cottage.
“Yes.” She answered with laughter.
We went into the kitchen and where the table was set. The room was filled with a beautiful aroma that made my taste buds water
I looked at her then pulled out a chair.
“How did you know I was going to come back?” I asked.
She moved and sat down then looked at me seriously.
“Because you are a strong man and a fighter.” She answered.
I pulled another chair for myself and sat next to her.
“Leo.” She called in a low tone then turned to face me.
“Yes.” I answered in concern because I could feel her distress through our bond.
“There is something I want to talk to you about.” She said seriously.
“Okay.” I answered.
She moved her hand to her chest tapping there a few times as I waited for her to speak.
“I don’t know how to start or say this.” She whispered through our mind link.
I moved my hand on her thigh, rubbing it gently.
“You can tell me anything.” I whispered softly.
I was now getting worried over everything.
What could be so bad that she was even failing to talk to me.
“Um….” She trailed off.
“Are you upset with me?” I asked seriously.
“No, of course not.” She answered loudly.
“Then don’t you love me anymore?” I asked even though I knew she was still in love with me.
“What!. Don’t be ridiculous. I will always love you and that’s for sure.” She answered.
“Then what’s the problem?” I asked on top of my voice.
“I’m so sorry.” She whispered then lowered her gaze.
“Sorry for what?” I asked.
“For acting like a slut in bed.” She answered.
I froze for a minute looking at her seriously.
She looked up and moved her hand to my cheek.
“Are you now mad at me because I reminded you about it?” She asked in a small voice.
Was she kidding me right now?.
How could she think like that when she gave me the best night of my life?.
“Whitney.” I called softly.
“Yes.” She answered then dropped her hand.
“I’m sorry.” I said.
“Why?” She asked with raised brows.
“Because I didn’t make it clear to you with my actions.” I answered then leaned in looking into her eyes.
“I loved everything about our first night together. To be honest, you gave me the best night of my life.” I answered then kissed her lips lightly.
She smiled and chuckled softly.
“Next time you feel worried about something, don’t hold back to tell me okay.” I said.
She stood up and sat on my lap happily.
“I won’t, I promise.” She answered.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and leaned my head against her shoulder.
“I’m also sorry for everything. We came here to spend our intimate time together, which is free from all work and duty, but then I had to go and leave you alone behind.” I whispered.
She slightly turned and faced me seriously.
“Felix is your family as well as a close friend that I understand and respect, that’s why I’m happy that you went to her side when she needed you the most.” She answered.
I smiled then stood up with her in my arms.
“Leo.” She called in what sounded like a question when I walked to the bedroom.
“We came here to spend some time together.” I said when I sat down at the edge of the bed with her on my lap.
She sat facing me with a soft smile.
“But the food.” She said softly while she trailed her fingers on my ear.
“We can always reheat it.” I answered in a low tone.
She giggled then leaned in and kissed me as I kissed her back moving my hands into her blouse and sliding them to her back.
She pulled back and smirked then slowly began to unbutton my shirt with her gaze fixed at mine.
“Lose this.” She whispered when she pulled it off of me.
I took her blouse off too and went for her bra, unhooking it.
“Now we are even.” I said playfully when I took it off and threw it on the floor.
“Yes.” She whispered then pushed me on the bed and leaned in, crushing her lips against mine.
I moved my hands to her ass as I kissed her back happily.
This time I wasn’t going to let her ride me. This time I was going to dominate her completely because I wanted her to know how much I loved and appreciated her.
