Amelia’s p. o. v
“Is that so?” I asked on the phone with a smile while I walked back and forth in the bedroom.
“I felt so embarrassed over how I acted. Did I seem desperate?” Whitney asked seriously.
“What, no way. Whitney you are an Alpha, the need to mark and make him yours overwhelmed you that’s why you went ahead and marked him first.” I answered.
“I know Amelia, but did you not hear the part when I pushed him down and began moving my hips while licking his neck!” She exclaimed.
“Whitney I heard and honestly I think he must have enjoyed it.” I answered honestly.
An hour had gone by and she still was asking the same things.
“No Amelia, the look on his face was that of shock. He didn’t expect me to do that to him.” She whispered softly.
I moved to the bed and sat down comfortably.
“I think you are overthinking. Uncle seems to be a very kind and understanding person who can never get upset over something like that. You are his mate and the love of his life, you doing all that to him should make him happy.” I answered.
“Look, when he returns to the cottage, how about you talk to him. Discuss everything and share with him how you feel.” I suggested.
She kept quiet for a few seconds then sighed heavily.
“I guess you are right, I will have to talk to him and find out if he really is okay with what I did.” She answered in a low tone then continued to speak.
“I just hope he is not disappointed in me. Imagine, a virgin acting like a slu..”
“Cut it out.” Aurora growled when she pulled through.
“A.. lpha queen?” She called in a cracked voice.
I rubbed my hand on my forehead then took in a deep breath and released it.
“Sorry, that was Aurora.” I answered Softly.
We were both getting annoyed at how she wasn’t taking my advice .
How many times was I going to assure her that he was an understanding person who was going to understand everything. Moreover I was sure he wasn’t upset with her!.
“Look Whitney, just do as I say and stop panicking okay. Do you want me to command you?” I asked seriously.
“No please.” She answered on top of her voice.
“Then wait for him to come back, okay.” I said softly.
“Okay. Thank you so much for hearing me out.” She answered.
“Any time.” I whispered then disconnected the call.
I put my cell phone on the night stand and looked at the clock on the wall.
I was worried, very worried over Ian’s safety.
When he told me where he was going, I wanted to follow him, but he strictly forbade me and pointed out how I was supposed to act accordingly because now everything was different.
I had to force myself to let it go but that didn’t mean I wasn’t still worried about him.
When a portal appeared on the wall I quickly stood up.
“Were you not resting?” Ian asked then stepped out.
I quickly rushed in his arms with a wide smile across my face.
I felt relieved and happy seeing that he was safe and back home.
When I pulled back I looked at his face to see if he had any injuries, he grabbed my hands in his.
“I am okay.” He whispered then leaned in, pressing his forehead against mine with a low sigh.
“Did everything go well?” I asked through our mind link.
“No.” He answered as my heart beat picked up.
“Did anyone die?” I asked in a whisper.
“Yes. Sammy’s parents, we killed them.” He answered.
I could sense the sadness in his voice and feel it through our bond.
“How did she take it?” I asked in concern.
“Bad, very bad. She broke down in tears and she couldn’t stop crying until Chase had to put her to sleep. It turned out that her parents wanted to die by her hand because they were tired of living . The mother even wrote in a few pages of her diary that her father wasn’t her biological father. Her biological father was killed by the coven while her mother was made to watch. Because of that, Felix’s mother grew up hating her for no reason.” He said.
I tiptoed and wrapped my arms around his shoulders to comfort him.
“It was so horrible to read all those words Amelia and it was too much for her to take in.” He whispered in a cracked voice.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered sadly.
Samantha was his best friend. Although they acted as if they didn’t care much about each other.
He was obviously going through so much as well because of seeing her in that state.
I pulled back and grabbed his hand in mine.
“Come.” I whispered softly then walked with him to the bed and got on.
I sat down and patted my laps gently. He hesitated but got on the bed and lay down resting his head there.
“I’m sure she will calm down and get better. But for now, what she needs is time to herself. She needs a clear conscience to think everything through and decide what to do with her life.” I said softly while I brushed my fingers through his hair.
“I just hope that’s the case Amelia, because today I have come to learn that some beings don’t completely forget or let go of things that caused them pain in the past. If Felix’s mother would have let go of the pain and guilt she felt when her lover was burnt, perhaps she could have been a good mother to Samantha.” He answered.
“My love, Samantha is different and unique in her own way. I am positive that she will overcome all her sorrows.” I said then leaned in and kissed his head gently.
“Get some sleep and rest. When you wake up you will feel better.” I whispered.
“Thank you.” He whispered back then shifted to face me.
“I’m very lucky and blessed by the goddess to have you in my life.” He said then moved his hand around my neck pulling me forward.
I smiled and kissed his lips gently.
We were both lucky and blessed by her.
