I sat with my hand linked to Ian’s own as he drove with his other hand. The whole way he was silent and said nothing.
I was surprised when he came into the living room telling me to get up and change into something comfortable.
“I’m eating?” I pointed out seriously.
He walked to where I was and lifted the tray with a serious expression on his face.
“Aurora now.” He ordered.
I didn’t want to go against him so I found myself doing exactly as he had ordered. I rushed into the bathroom and put on comfortable clothes. When he came back, he immediately walked to the wardrobe pulling out two packed suitcases. There and then I clearly understood what was going on, we were going to another territory because the alpha king was finally tracking me down.
I helped out with carrying everything to the car after we said our goodbyes to Nana and a few warriors. While driving, Ian was looking in the rearview mirror and I could feel how worried he was over everything.
“Ian.” I called softly.
“Yes babe?” He answered after glancing at me for a second.
“It will be alright okay, I’m right here next to you.” I whispered softly.
He moved my hand to his lips and kissed it gently.
“I know.” He whispered softly then relaxed.
“Did Neo send you the needed direction to the new territory?” I asked in concern.
“No he didn’t, but Blade did.” He answered calmly.
“Okay.” I said softly then kept quiet, I had nothing else to say.
“Talk to him.” Amelia whispered.
The past few days she was quietly giving me the needed time I wanted to spend with Ian, she would react whenever I did something but couldn’t say a thing. One thing that made her very happy is how well Ian and I communicated.
“Ian.” I whispered softly then swallowed hard.
“Yes babe.” He answered without looking at me.
“I will protect you with everything I have. He won’t hurt you at all because I won’t let him.” I said seriously.
He stepped on the brakes then looked at me.
“That should be my line.” He whispered then leaned in as I leaned in as well meeting him halfway for a kiss.
I smiled happily when his lips touched mine, my body instantly relaxed as I moved my free hand to his cheek and deepened the kiss.
“Alpha.” A knock on the door startled me.
I quickly pulled back and looked at Neo who stood outside looking at us.
“Why is he here?” I asked.
“Because we have reached the territory.” Ian answered, then let go of my hand and got out of the car.
I was about to open the door for myself , when Ian walked quickly to my door and opened it for me.
“Thank you.” I said happily then got off and looked around.
I saw and sensed nothing in the area, how the hell was this the chosen territory.
“Why can’t I sense anyone here?. Are you sure it’s the actual territory?” I asked seriously.
“Yes Luna, this is the actual place.” Neo answered then walked ahead.
I watched in shock as he vanished before our eyes.
I quickly looked at Ian and pointed at where Neo had disappeared.
“Did you see that?” I asked loudly.
“Yes.” He answered, then moved and grabbed my hand in his.
“There is definitely a clear explanation for that, shall we find out?” He asked.
“Sure.” I answered and walked with him ahead.
When I felt the force of a shield in front of me, I squeezed his hand tightly then closed my eyes and moved forward past it.
“Wow.” Ian’s whisper made me open my eyes.
A few beautiful cottages were in front of us and some warriors were moving back and forth working.
Some were in what looked like a garden sowing seeds while some were chatting.
“Put that on your left side.” Felix yelled out the instructions.
She stood looking at the men building the cottage with her hands pressed on her hips.
“Samantha.” Ian called loudly.
She turned and looked at him with a wide smile.
“Welcome.” She called out loudly as she approached us
“When did you reach?” He asked.
“I took off immediately after our call. You know my speed is excellent right?” She asked.
“Yeah.” He answered with a soft sigh.
“I came to give out a hand on what I could before your arrival.” She said then looked at me coldly.
“Aurora.” She called in a form of greeting.
“How are you Felix?” I asked with a smile.
“Uhh, don’t do that, it’s giving me shivers, Amelia and I may be on friendly terms but that doesn’t mean I’m comfortable around you.” She answered seriously.
“I understand, sorry.” I whispered softly.
Her instincts were obviously alert with me in the territory, I was a threat to her kind after all.
“And the barrier, did you do it?” I asked.
“No Chase did, he came a few minutes ago and immediately started lifting the barrier, he is near the river as we speak.” She answered.
“That explains why I couldn’t feel any presence here.” Ian said.
“Surprisingly his barrier is stronger than I had imagined, it seems you can’t detect any being or person inside it unless they come out or cross it.” She answered with a smile.
She truly did love the fairy and we all could see it on her face.
“Can I go and talk to him?” I asked as her smile faded.
“Don’t you dare say anything bossy to him, he’s mine.” She spat seriously.
“I know.” I answered then walked to where his scent was coming from.
Chase sat on the ground next to a stream with crossed legs and closed eyes, the water next to him was rising and moving around in the form of a circle. No matter how I looked at it, he was a water fairy, they were very powerful and rare to find.
I slowly sat down next to him and patiently waited for him to notice me. He needed all the focus required to maintain the shield.
