“You looked so cute here.” Aurora whispered softly then leaned against my chest.
I was sitting on the couch with her between my parted legs looking at my old pictures that Nana had given us.
I still had no idea that Nana had a few pictures kept for herself.
The past few days I took it upon myself to spend quality time with my mate and that’s exactly what I did. We first went for a run in the forest, enjoying the wind blowing through our fur and the sound of birds chirping. The scent of the raising dust felt nice and we both felt so free.
After that I took her out to eat something nice. At first she was uncomfortable at the place we were, but then suddenly relaxed after having a few drinks. When we got home, we continued drinking and spent the night laughing and chatting in my bedroom.
By the time we wanted to sleep, it was already morning.
I decided to let her rest as I handled a few documents of the pack. Once she was awake she took a bath and joined Nana in baking snacks while I chose to sit and watch.
Spending time together felt good and days quickly went by. I did miss Amelia but I also loved Aurora’s company.
“Is this Neo?” She asked then tapped on the picture.
“Yes, that was him in his teens.” I answered softly.
“He had white hair?” She asked in a surprised tone.
“No, he had light blonde hair which looked exactly like white hair. You see, when we were growing up everyone thought badly of him just because of that hair color. They took him as a bully while some took him as a prideful punk. He hated that so much but endured it all until he met Sherry. The man fell hard and immediately decided to dye his hair brunette. I didn’t like his new hair color but I respected his decision and got used to seeing him in it.” I answered, then shifted a bit and kissed her shoulder.
“To be honest, the light blonde hair made him look super cute and unique.” She whispered.
I moved my hand and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look my way.
“Don’t say that about other men, be it my brother or not.” I warned seriously then leaned in and kissed her lips as she responded.
“Oh dear. Am I interrupting something?” Nana asked, annoying me.
I pulled back and looked at her with a glare.
“Mom!” I growled loudly through our mind link.
“I’m so sorry son, I figured you would love to eat some snacks, that’s why I brought some.” She answered through our mind link.
“Aurora, would you like to eat some snacks?” I asked calmly then noticed that she was still looking at me in a daze.
“Babe.” I called softly.
She smiled then nodded and looked at Nana.
“I would love to eat whatever you make ma’am, you do have a powerful hand in baking and cooking.” She answered.
Wow, her words were greatly exaggerated but they seemed to make my mother very happy.
Nana smiled then moved closer and put the tray on the table which was next to us. The first bowl had chocolate biscuits and in the second were two pieces of cake.
“Thanks sweetie, now you should both eat well and enjoy yourselves” She said then turned and walked out of the room.
“Your mother is kind.” Aurora whispered while she stood up.
“You mean our mother.” I corrected her as I got on my feet and stood next to her .
She smiled and nodded.
“Our mother.” She responded.
“Babe you take a seat and eat, I’ll be right back in a few minutes.” I said.
“Where are you going?” She asked seriously.
“There is a file I have to go through. It won’t take much time so I will be back in no time.” I answered.
She dropped the photo album on the couch then folded her arms with a frown.
“What?. Are you sulking right now?” I asked between laughter.
She really was funny and so damn cute acting like that.
“No I’m not.” She answered then sat down facing the other side.
“Babe, I will go through the file quickly and come back I promise.” I whispered softly then leaned in and pressed my hand on her back gently.
“I’ll also take you out for ice cream and have a romantic walk with you.” I said softly trying to get her to look at me.
“No, I don’t want to.” She answered coldly.
“Then what do you want?” I asked calmly while rubbing her back.
“When….” She trailed off then kept quiet.
“When what?” I asked softly.
“When are you going to do that?” She asked, confusing me.
“What babe?” I asked seriously.
“When are you going to do that with me?. You usually do it with Amelia, why not with me?” She asked loudly.
I dropped my hand and stood upright.
“You mean ….. what exactly?” I asked, feeling confused.
She turned and faced me angrily.
“When will you mate with me!. It’s already been a few days since I took over, yet you won’t mate with me.” She yelled on top of her voice.
I stood shocked and frozen with no words to say. Was she waiting for me to make a move all this time?. Her revelation was stunning. Yes I was attracted to her and a few times I wanted to make a move on her but stopped myself. I didn’t want her to think of me differently, I wanted us to do all the things lovers did which didn’t involve fucking. I guess I was wrong.
“How about this, once I’m done with going through the file, we will mate as much as you want.” I answered as her expression instantly lit up.
“Really?” She asked happily.
“Yes, so be prepared.” I answered, then leaned and kissed her lips lightly.
“I won’t let you back out of this no matter what.” I whispered softly.
“I know and I’m very much prepared.” She answered cheerfully.
I stood upright and grinned, she was so fucking different from Amelia and I loved that side of her.
“Be ready.” I whispered then walked out of the living room.
As I approached my office my cell phone rang stopping my movements.
I pulled it out of my trousers pocket and answered it.
“What is it Felix?”
“Right now start packing!” She exclaimed.
“Why?” I asked.
“I don’t know how Chase saw it but according to him, the alpha king has started his search for Amelia, he is no longer in his own territory.” She said in nearly a scream.
“Got it, we will meet at the new territory in a few hours.” I answered, then disconnected the call and turned, walking quickly to Nana’s room.
I was going to tell her everything and have her look after my pack and the remaining warriors for me, because the rest of us were going to war.
