William Reid was locked up.
Just as Max Thomson predicted, he truly fell apart.
Max gently held the hand I had used to hit William Reid.
“Does it hurt?”
I sighed:
“I don’t like you; you should know that, right?”
He paused for a moment and smiled:
“Of course I know. I never expected you to like me.”
“As long as you’re willing to stay by my side, I can give you everything.”
“Isn’t it nice for us to keep each other company?”
I pulled my hand away and shook my head:
“It’s too exhausting-fighting every day makes me anxious.”
I didn’t have much emotion toward Max Thomson.
I neither liked nor disliked him, and I couldn’t even imagine living with him in the future.
He patiently ran his fingers through my hair and chuckled bitterly:
“That’s fine. Just stay here for now. When you want to leave, just tell me.”
