Chapter 188 Mr. Kayden!

A chilling wind swept through, rustling a few leaves as they fell, followed by a howling gust. Amid this wind, a group of figures in black quietly approached from the distance.
The black-clad figures moved like ghosts, sometimes vague, sometimes clear, creating an exceptionally eerie scene.
None of the onlookers had ever witnessed anything like this. They began to doubt whether they had wandered into a movie set.
Moments later, the figures in black clearly appeared at the entrance of Moon Viewing Restaurant, rapidly advancing.
Simultaneously, several cars slowly drove in from three different streets.
It turned out that the strangeness wasn’t from the black figures themselves, but from the car headlights casting shadows that created the illusion of them flickering in and out of view.
The crowd was terrified as if they had truly seen ghosts.
However, the arrival of these figures made the street oddly tidy.
As they drew near, even more masked figures seemed to materialize from nowhere, surrounding Moon Viewing Restaurant.
Before long, the group made a strange gesture, and several leaders began walking inside.
The onlookers immediately retreated into the restaurant upon seeing them approach.
Mya wanted to speak, but upon seeing the figures, she swallowed her words.
These black-clad individuals were distinct, wearing black hats and masks. Their masks were unsettlingly designed to resemble black hellish faces, akin to the monsters seen in many horror films from Seclela.
Once inside, many customers noticed these bizarre figures. Their powerful aura, combined with the spine-chilling masks, heightened their air of mystery. Some timid female patrons couldn’t help but scream upon catching sight of the terrifying masks.
“Everyone, please remain calm!” the restaurant owner stepped forward, trying to ease the tension. “They are likely actors from a nearby film crew here to eat. There’s no need to panic.”
Hearing the owner’s explanation, many sighed in relief, patting their chests. “So they’re just filming. They really scared me.” Someone said.
However, Leon couldn’t contain his anger, shouting, “Those film guys dare to interrupt my business!” He then turned to the owner and demanded, “Tell them to leave immediately! I have matters to attend to!”
The owner hesitated, scrutinizing Leon with a furrowed brow. He was well aware of Leon’s background. He recalled a recent incident at a bar where the owner had offended Leon, resulting in that bar now being under Leon’s control. Everyone knew what had happened to that bar’s owner afterward.
Although the owner of Moon Viewing Restaurant was no pushover, he didn’t want to provoke someone like Leon. He stepped to the door, his voice trembling as he said, “Mr. Cooper, could you please…”
Before he could finish, a black-clad figure pushed past him, announcing in a hoarse voice, “The Scott family is conducting business here. Unrelated individuals, please leave now!”
At this statement, the restaurant fell into a stunned silence. The crowd exchanged confused glances, bewildered by what was unfolding.
Suddenly, someone shouted, “They must be filming!”
Indeed, it was a natural reaction, as they had likely immersed themselves too deeply in their roles and were now in the midst of a scene. That’s most customers’ thoughts.
“You bastards!” Leon cursed again, brandishing his dagger as he marched toward the black figures.
Waving the knife, he pointed at them, shouting, “Are you deaf? I told you to get out! I have a business to attend to! Go film elsewhere, I…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Leon’s life was abruptly cut short. One of the black figures swiftly drew a blade, and in a single motion, it sliced across Leon’s throat. Everything happened so fast that Leon’s words barely left his mouth before his throat was slashed.
The crowd had yet to react to what occurred. All they saw was Leon’s face contorted in pain, his expression twisting in agony. Moments later, blood spurted from his throat, staining his white attire a vivid red.
The black figure’s movements were lightning-fast. The blade retracted before the blood could even splatter. This was the essence of Seclela’s martial arts, taking lives as easily as plucking fruit.
Leon struggled to raise his hand to his throat, his complexion paling as he slowly slumped. Suddenly, he released his grip, desperately trying to grasp at something, blood gushing like a fountain from his neck, splattering those nearby. A piercing scream sliced through the night air.
Leon’s throat had been cut. This was a real murder, not a performance.
The tattooed man Kevin stared wide-eyed, stunned into silence.
“It’s the Scott family business. Everyone, evacuate!” Kevin shouted hoarsely.
This time, no one dared ignore him. Hearing the command, people scrambled to escape Moon Viewing Restaurant, the owner fleeing in haste. The scene was too horrifying; this was no film.
Within minutes, the patrons inside began to disperse.
Mya choked back tears, her face pale. She reached for Kayden’s arm, only to find he was no longer within her grasp.
“Hey!” She turned anxiously to look for Kayden, only to see him back at his seat, leisurely sipping tea. Seeing Kayden so relaxed, she urged, “We need to go. They’re going to kill us!”
Kayden smiled coldly, then looked at Mya gently. “You should leave first. This meal might need to be settled later.”
Mya’s eyes widened in shock as she jumped up, “Are you crazy? They kill without blinking!”
Kayden remained silent. Mya tugged at him, but it was too late.
At the entrance appeared an elderly man in a suit, stern-faced. Though his hair was white, his complexion was rosy, and he walked with determined steps.
Upon seeing Kayden, the man’s expression shifted dramatically as he strode toward him.
Mya felt a surge of anxiety; this elder held a higher status than the black-clad figures. What was his purpose here? Did he intend to harm Kayden and her?
With that thought, she clutched Kayden’s arm tightly. She had only come for a meal. She never expected her life to be at stake.
It was all Kayden’s fault. If he had just left, she wouldn’t be in such danger.
Just as tears threatened to fall, the elder suddenly adjusted his suits, knelt before Kayden, and said with deep reverence, “Mr. Kayden, Mr. Jason asked you to return home to inherit the family head position. The Scott family is facing great turmoil. We sincerely request your return.”
