“Boss, look!” Vermilion Bird pointed ahead after the group had walked a short distance.
Hearing his words, Billy and the others turned to look.
Huh?!
A green talisman!
This was the first time they had seen a green talisman in the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space.
“There’s one over there too!” Felicia shouted, pointing to her right.
“We’re rich!” Stout started drooling again.
“Casey, give it a try!” Billy said.
“Got it!” Casey responded and walked toward one of the green talismans.
Just as he was about to grab the talisman, it darted away as if it had a mind of its own, moving at an incredible speed.
“Hmm?” Casey squinted slightly and quickly dashed forward.
To everyone’s surprise, the green talisman’s speed was on par with Casey’s. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t catch it.
“This is interesting!” Azure Dragon turned to White Tiger and the others. “Let’s all go for it. I don’t believe we can’t catch it!”
“Alright!” they nodded in unison.
As soon as they moved, five or six people surrounded the green talisman.
To their astonishment, the green talisman didn’t flee this time but instead launched itself at White Tiger.
White Tiger didn’t take the small talisman seriously. He advanced and reached out to grab it.
With a muffled sound, White Tiger was sent flying back fifty meters, nearly spitting out blood from the impact.
“What the heck?!” Judge cursed.
Billy and the others were stunned. A talisman that could attack people with such force?!
Tommy and his companions were equally shocked. In their thousand-plus years of life, they had never seen anything like this.
“The Scholar, why don’t you give it a try?” Stout suggested.
“Sure,” The Scholar smiled faintly.
He reached out toward the green talisman. The space around it began to distort, and sensing danger, the talisman started jumping around frantically.
However, it was clear that escaping The Scholar’s grasp was difficult.
“Mr. Kimmons, open your mouth!” The Scholar instructed.
“Okay!” Casey responded.
The Scholar waved his hand, sending the green talisman into Casey’s mouth.
As soon as it entered, the talisman dissolved, and a surge of energy spread throughout Casey’s body, much stronger than previous lower-tier talismans.
Without wasting time, Casey sat down cross-legged and began refining the energy.
In less than two minutes, a powerful aura erupted from him.
Without a doubt, his cultivation level had risen by one rank to fifth-rank Entering Ancestry Realm!
“This is incredible!” Everyone exclaimed upon sensing Casey’s martial prowess.
Tommy and his companions were equally astonished.
“The Scholar, please help me get one too!” Stout pleaded.
Everyone else: “…”
“Alright,” The Scholar replied with a smile.
The Scholar, Tommy, and Annalise then helped everyone capture green talismans.
Billy wasn’t idle either. By activating his bloodline power, he could barely catch green talismans himself, so he didn’t need The Scholar’s help.
Green talismans were rare even in this deep space. They were hard to come by, so the group continued searching as they moved forward.
Time flew by, and half a month passed in the blink of an eye.
In twenty days, with The Scholar’s help, everyone had refined two or three green talismans each.
For them, each green talisman could increase their rank by at least one level. So after half a month, everyone, including Billy, had advanced two or three levels.
Billy and Opal both reached half-step Holy Ancestry Realm, just one step away from true Holy Ancestry Realm.
Harleen and Amber broke through to ninth-rank Entering Ancestry Realm, Ivy reached eighth-rank, and Casey and Stout entered seventh-rank Entering Ancestry Realm.
Azure Dragon, Azure Fang, Ian Blade, and Bob were stuck at half-step Entering Ancestry Realm because they needed to undergo tribulation to advance further.
The rest also reached half-step Entering Ancestry Realm.
For Tommy and his companions, this breakthrough speed was unbelievable unless seen with their own eyes!
It’s worth mentioning that they also tried refining one or two green talismans. However, since their cultivation was already at half-step Supreme Ancestry Realm, these talismans couldn’t help them break through further.
One day, after consolidating their cultivation levels, they were about to continue exploring when a tremendous commotion came from deep within the mist. It felt like the entire space was collapsing.
“What’s going on?” Everyone was stunned.
“Could it be Purple Spirit and White Feather causing this?” Stout speculated.
Before he could finish speaking, two figures-one purple and one white-appeared within their sight. Despite the low visibility in this space, they immediately recognized Purple Spirit and White Feather.
“Billy, run! Head for the exit!” Purple Spirit shouted while running. “Hurry up before it’s too late!”
“Let’s go!” Billy said after a brief pause.
Although he didn’t know what had happened, seeing Purple Spirit and White Feather’s disheveled state and hearing the commotion from deep within the mist made it clear that they had provoked something they shouldn’t have.
Without hesitation, he led everyone back along their path at full speed.
In the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space, their flight speed was hindered. Running on foot was faster than flying here, so they all ran on the ground.
After running for a short while, they heard thunderous footsteps that shook the entire space. Each step felt like a direct hit to their chests, more intense than the giant beast they had encountered outside the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space.
“Purple Spirit, what happened?” Judge shouted while running.
“We got into a little trouble!” Purple Spirit yelled back.
“This much commotion is considered ‘little’?” Judge retorted. “What exactly happened?”
“We found an abandoned egg in a valley and thought it was cute,” Purple Spirit explained.
“And then?” Soul Chaser asked.
“We decided to take it,” Purple Spirit responded again.
Hearing this, White Feather protested with a few chirps.
“Purple Spirit, wasn’t that your idea alone? It has nothing to do with White Feather, right?” White Tiger shouted. “And are you sure it was abandoned?”
“I saw it lying there in the valley with no creatures around. I thought no one wanted it…” Purple Spirit replied weakly.
