Although the question was not answered, his silence spoke volumes.
Caesar pressed his lips together, refraining from saying anything further.
At this moment, he believed that Rosalind was not with his son for money, but what did it matter? She wasn’t the person his wife had chosen for their son, so it was all in vain.

Rosalind chose a secluded cemetery for her mother, in a quiet corner.
She didn’t want her mother to be disturbed by anyone anymore.
After handling the hospital matters, Mrs. Eva’s body was kept at the funeral home, awaiting burial after the funeral.
Tilda had taken time off to be there. Seeing Rosalind’s expressionless face, she felt such pain that she could hardly breathe. “Rosalind, have you eaten anything? I’ll ask my brother to bring you some food. You need to eat something.”
Rosalind turned her face slightly, forcing a reassuring smile. “I’m fine, thank you and Malcolm for being here with me. I’m sorry for disrupting your work.”
“At a time like this, you’re still saying such things?” Tilda held her hand, feeling as if the person in front of her might disappear into thin air at any moment.
In just a few dozen hours, someone could become so haggard!
It seemed as if a gust of wind could knock her down.
“Ulric’s people will come to you soon, and he might even ask you some questions himself. Don’t say anything.” Rosalind understood Ulric well.
He wouldn’t give up so easily!
Someone who had silently loved her for so many years would definitely dig deep before giving up.
“Rosalind, I don’t understand. Why don’t you let Ulric continue to protect you? What’s the point of running away from him?” Tilda thought staying by Ulric’s side was the safest and most straightforward option.
Whether considering if the Walters family dared to touch Rosalind again or if Rosalind wanted to investigate the true cause of her mother’s death, using Ulric would be the easiest way. Why avoid it?
Moreover, she was now carrying Ulric’s child. Perhaps… the Walters family might even accept it!
“We are ultimately not meant to be together.”
“Rosalind, I think you’re just overthinking things! He really loves you, and with that love, he can definitely protect you.” Although Tilda hadn’t interacted with Ulric privately many times, she knew everything that had happened over such a long period.
If Ulric hadn’t been wholeheartedly devoted to Rosalind, she would have been falsely accused beyond redemption long ago!
To fire the chief lawyer and employees who had contributed so much to W Group for Rosalind showed how important she was to Ulric.
“But we will keep entangling each other.” Rosalind looked at her mother’s photo. Though Mrs. Eva’s face was stern in the picture, her eyes showed a deep care for her daughter. “My mom didn’t want us to be together.”
“She was afraid you’d suffer; she didn’t know how much Ulric loves you.”
“For me, Ulric has to face the entire Walters family. I don’t think I’m worth that much, and I don’t want to fight these battles.” She was tired and didn’t want to drag anyone else down with her.
Her mother’s death was like a wake-up call!
It told her she couldn’t live under a protective shield.
She could let Ulric protect her, but what about Tilda? What about Malcolm? What would happen to those who cared about her? Sirena and the Walters family wouldn’t back down so easily.
