In the eyes of outsiders, there was naturally a lot of envy.
They felt that Rosalind was incredibly fortunate to have won Ulric’s favor, but in her own heart, it felt heavy.
She didn’t know what she could give back to Ulric!
Rosalind believed that for a relationship to last, there should at least be some balance! It was too difficult to balance their statuses, but she wanted to balance their contributions.

After working all day, when it was time to leave in the evening, Ulric specifically sent her a message asking her to wait for him so they could go home together after his meeting.
Rosalind took this time to tidy up her desk.
She was usually too busy to organize and file her documents, but as long as she knew where everything was, it was fine.
After tidying up, she glanced at her phone but still hadn’t received any messages from Ulric.
It seemed this meeting was quite tricky.
Rosalind stretched and decided to take a walk outside. As soon as she stepped out of the office, she saw the last person she wanted to see-Sirena.
It was clear that Sirena hadn’t expected to run into her either.
Both were momentarily stunned.
“What are you doing here?”
“I’m an employee of W Group. Isn’t it normal for me to be here?” Rosalind’s next sentence implied that since Sirena had already resigned, her appearance at W Group was what’s abnormal!
Sirena frowned unhappily and said with a stern face, “Don’t think you’ve won! You’ll never get past Ulric’s parents!”
Rosalind smirked, “Ulric’s approval is enough for me. You had so many people supporting you, yet you still couldn’t stand by his side.”
“Hmph.” Sirena had never really taken Rosalind seriously and spoke with disdain, “You better cherish the days you can still see him! Eat whatever fancy food you want, buy whatever brand names you like. Even though you’re spending what will be my and Ulric’s marital assets, I’ll be the bigger person.”
Rosalind remained silent, simply not wanting to engage with her.
Such bickering was meaningless.
Sirena continued with a mocking laugh, “His parents just gave me a set of jewelry in his name today! Do you want to know the price?”
“Yes.” Rosalind nodded seriously, looking at her. “You’d better be specific about how much it costs and whether it was really given in Ulric’s name. If it was indeed given in his name, then as Ulric’s current legal wife, this belongs to our marital assets, and I have the right to reclaim it! You’re a lawyer; you should understand this better than I do.”
“…” Sirena hadn’t expected her to be so sharp-tongued and was momentarily speechless.
Rosalind walked past Sirena. As she was about to pass by, she suddenly stopped. “Ulric’s parents probably don’t know you’re an illegitimate child, right? You don’t even have the right to stay on the Ruell family’s household register. In ancient times, what was your status called again?”
“…”
“Oh right, a concubine’s daughter! Actually, not even that. At least a concubine’s daughter could take their father’s surname. You can only be called Reynolds.”
Sirena was furious and tried to reach out but Rosalind dodged her.
“Don’t get too cocky! Let’s see how long your mother can live. The position of Mrs. Ruell will eventually be my mother’s!”
“Even if my mother loses that position, your mother would at best be a concubine.” She sneered. “Sirena, don’t think you can manipulate anyone. I just don’t want to waste time on you.”
If it came down to a war of words, she wouldn’t necessarily lose.
“You’re just relying on Ulric! Otherwise, you wouldn’t even have the right to stand here and talk to me!”
“Yes, I am relying on him. So what? He’s my husband; I’m entitled to rely on him.”
As soon as Rosalind finished speaking, she suddenly felt a pair of hands on her shoulders.
She looked up and saw Ulric!
