Sachin was talking about work with Lane when he received Rosiley’s phone call.
As soon as he saw the caller ID on the phone screen, the cold, tense expression on his face instantly mellowed.
Lane raised his eyebrows imperceptibly. It must be the Madam.
The president was like an iceberg. He would only melt in front of his wife.
Sachin walked towards the window before picking up the call.
“Sachin, when are you coming home?”
He could hear Rosiley’s voice as soon as he picked up.
Sachin curled his lips. “Why? Do you miss me?”
“Sure, I miss you already, and I would like to have dinner with you.”
On the other side of the phone, Rosiley could not see that Sachin mellowed as soon as she said this, and his eyes were bright as stars.
He looked out of the window at the darkening sky with a tender light in his eyes. He said softly, “Sure, I will be getting back very soon.”
“Then I’ll wait for you.”
She hung up after saying that.
Sachin put down his mobile phone and smiled. He then turned around and said to Lane, who was still sitting on the sofa, “Let’s wrap it up already. We’ll talk about the rest tomorrow.”
Lane’s eyebrows raised a little. It looked like work was all over for the day.
Having shut down his computer, Sachin went to pick up his coat, which was hanging on the back of the chair. He left the office with Lane.

Just when Rosiley finished setting the table, she heard Auntie Wu from outside the dining room.
“Master, you’re finally back. The Madam has been waiting for you for a long time.”
Rosiley was rather speechless at this.
The truth was, she had not waited for long at all. She had only called only Sachin 20 minutes earlier.
Sachin handed his coat to Auntie Wu. “Where is the Madam?”
“She’s in the dining room, waiting for you to have dinner with her. Go quickly.”
Sachin walked towards the dining room, and as soon as he entered, he saw Rosiley smiling.
She was showered in the warm yellow light, and her black hair was suffused with a subtle halo. Her pretty little face smiled sweetly, and her eyes looked so clear and bright.
“You’re back.” Her soft voice sounded in the quiet dining room.
He slowly raised the corner of his mouth, and a faint stream of light shone in his pitch-black eyes. “Yes, I’m back.”
Rosiley smiled and pulled him to the table to sit down. “Are you hungry? Auntie Wu has made lots of delicious food for us.”
She served him a bowl of soup and said, “Have some fish soup. It’s good for you.”
Looking at the soup she had served him, Sachin blinked and felt a stream of warmth flourish from the bottom of his heart. He paused very briefly before picking up his spoon to take a sip.
“It’s delicious.” He turned and smiled at her gently.
“Really?” She instantly blossomed into the brightest beam, and her eyes curved with a smile. “Then you should have some more. There is a lot left.”
He suddenly felt love pour out of his heart, and he reached out to hold her and give her a kiss on the lips before she could even react.
It was a feather light kiss.
He said, “Rosiley, I am very happy.”
It was she who gave him a home and made him feel the warmth of belonging somewhere.
She smiled tenderly, and her eyes sparkled. “I am very happy, too, because I’ve got you.”
The orange light enveloped them, and warmth and sweetness flowed quietly between them. Perhaps, this was happiness.
