Cindy’s confrontation

Book:Married To My Billionaire EX Published:2024-10-15

Coming out of Kylie’s hospital room, Sebastian made his mind to forget everything about their past and never ask her anything about it.
“As long as she doesn’t cheat me, I can forget her previous life,” he muttered under his breath before striding towards the elevator with his long legs. He went to the nearby convenience shop to buy some toiletries for her. She needed to stay in the hospital for a few more days so she needed her daily necessary items.
Sebastian picked each item carefully, he remembered the brand he saw her use and bought them according to her choice. Then he went to the counter for check out.
“Your girlfriend must be very lucky to have a thoughtful boyfriend like you. I had been seeing you for some time now and by how carefully you picked every item that only showed how much you love her,” the old cashier aged over fifties commented when Sebastian passed his card for the payment. He smiled and replied politely to her.
“These are for my wife, ma’am,” he said.
“Oh, my bad! Take good care of your wife,” said the woman before handing the bags to him. Sebastian nodded to him and walked out of the store. He then went directly to his villa packed some sets of clothes for Kylie and cleaned undergarments. Then he drove to the hospital.
Meantime in the hospital…..
“You are not getting it, Cindy. He doesn’t trust me. He doesn’t give a second thought before suspecting me,” Kylie said with frustration laced in her voice.
“Okay calm down now. Have you ever given it a thought, maybe he has his own reasons for doing this. Or someone was manipulating his mind against you?” Cindy asked.
“What reason there can be? It was he who declared his relationship with Samantha during our college days and kissed her in front of me. Do you have any idea what I went through next? Why do you think I have panic attacks? Why do you think I lost my talent in designing?” Kylie screamed at the top of her voice. Cindy rushed forward and hugged her.
“Sssshhhh, I am always on your side. Calm down, stress isn’t good for your health. You just had a panic attack a few hours ago,” Cindy whispered in a cooing voice. She pulled apart from Kylie and met her eyes.
“Take a deep breath then release it slowly. Follow me, come on,” Cindy insisted and Kylie didn’t have any do the breathing exercise with Cindy. Soon she became normal and Cindy made her lie down on the bed.
“You are still weak. Once you are recovered we will go meet your therapist together. Then we can talk about your issues with Sebastian, okay?” Cindy said with a very low voice. She was afraid that her words would trigger Kylie and she would become angry again. Kylie didn’t respond to her just closed her eyes. Cindy sighed looking at her pale face.
It was really difficult for Kylie to overcome her trauma and lead a normal life. Cindy helped her through it though she had no idea what was the reason for her trauma. She just hoped that Kylie could lead a normal and happy life.
By the time Sebastian reached the hospital Kylie was in deep sleep. Cindy was sitting on the bedside chair. He placed her clothes neatly in the closet and her toiletries in the bathroom. He then went near her to take a look. Her face became pale and her lips were dry. In just a couple of hours, she became so fragile.
“Can we talk outside, Mr. Smith?” Cindy asked, this was the first time she was talking so seriously with Sebastian. He nodded to her and they both went out of the cabin to talk.
“What did you tell her to trigger her attack?” Cindy asked crossing her hands in front of her as soon as Sebastian closed the cabin door behind him.
“We had some misunderstandings, it’s a couple’s matter and I don’t think you should meddle in this Miss Scott,” Sebastian stood idly with his hands in his pockets and his face was cold as usual.
“When do you think I should meddle? When she’s dead or in a lifelong coma?” Cindy was getting impatient with him.
“Watch your mouth, or else I won’t let it slide easily,” Sebastian said with gritted teeth.
“She was over with her depression, she hadn’t had any panic attacks in the last six months but not only did she get a panic attack because of you, but she is now lying in a hospital bed. I don’t care if you are my boss in the office but here I have only one identity, I am Kylie’s friend and her only family except for her parents,” Cindy wasn’t going to buzz off so easily.
“Cindy, I love Kylie. She is my wife and we are a family,” Sebastian sighed finally letting go of his cold facade.
“If you had loved her then you wouldn’t accuse her of cheating,” Cindy raised her brows and Sebastian frowned.
“She told you?” he asked. He didn’t know they were this close.
“Mr. Smith, this girl only loved you throughout her life. She never had eyed any man other than you. And with her mental condition, she can’t possibly like someone. How could you accuse her of sleeping with someone else when you are all in her mind even in her sleep? Do you know how many nights she stayed awake so that she wouldn’t have dreams of you? I don’t know what magic you did to her that she couldn’t even sleep without you invading her sleep,” Cindy said throwing her hands in the air in frustration. Sebastian was puzzled hearing her words.
“What do you mean by I invaded her sleep?” he asked.
“From the moment she found out you cheated on her with Samantha, she went through some trauma. She never talked about it and neither did I ask because it was painful for her. But from then she constantly had dreams of you, of the times you spent together and her panic attack started from there,” Cindy explained and Sebastian dropped on the nearby chair. He had no idea she was suffering so much.
“But who told her I was dating Samantha?”
