Xavier wasn’t in the mood to take calls, he needed to get to Stacy at all cost.
Meanwhile, Stacy, who couldn’t hold in what’s bothering her for a long time, decided to tell everything to Morgan. She was out and ready to get things over with Xavier, he was no longer the Xavier she knew.
Earlier in the morning, Morgan informed Olivia about Cherry’s visit, he had a feeling that Cherry will get along with Olivia.
It wasn’t long before Stacy arrived at Morgan’s residence with Cherry, she decided to drop Cherry off and leave to find Morgan directly in the company rather than waiting for him in the evening. But Olivia was sweet and persuaded that she stay and wait for Morgan, since he won’t be working over time.
“Pretty aunty, are you uncle Morgan’s girlfriend?” Cherry asked, as soon as she walked inside and sat close to Olivia.
“Cherry! Come here!” Stacy, feeling ashamed, scolded her to come and sit next to her.
Olivia smiled softly, examining the little girl’s beautiful features and large white eyes.
“I’m so sorry, you know, kids say rubbish.” Stacy smiled awkwardly.
“It’s alright, she’s a child.”
“Pretty aunty, answer my question, or are you the bad aunty uncle is talking about?”
The little girl seemed to think for a while and shook her head, “No, bad aunties aren’t pretty, they are ugly. Besides, uncle Morgan won’t let a bad aunty into his house, so you’re the super pretty aunty that uncle Morgan likes.” She smiled proudly, accentuating her dimples and Crescent eyes.
Stacy couldn’t tell where her daughter was learning all the rubbish she was spouting, if she was really close to her, she would spank her head, so she wouldn’t say such things in the future. She looked away in embarrassment, not wanting to meet Olivia’s gaze.
Olivia smiled and patted her hair, “What’s your name?”
“My name is Cherry, my bad daddy calls me sweetie, but don’t call me that, my daddy is bad. Call me Cherry or baby, my uncle Morgan calls me Cherry and my mom calls baby.” She giggled, swinging her short chubby legs.
“I’ll call you Sweetheart then.” Olivia smiled.
“Mom! I’m getting a lot of names, I won’t tell bad daddy my name, only mom and uncle Morgan will know my name.”
“You’re so cute.” Olivia couldn’t help but say.
It wasn’t long before the chef brought some refreshments for Olivia and her visitors. Cherry was quick to grab the packet of sweets on the tray.
“Pretty aunty, uncle Morgan gets all these for me, will you get some for me too?”
“Of course, I’ll”
“Thank you aunty.” She smiled and munched on her sweets.
Olivia overheard the conversation between Cherry and Morgan last night, she couldn’t help but feel pity for the cute little girl and her mom. ‘Xavier, such a scumbag’
ToStacy decided to turn her phone on, after several calls from Xavier, she decided to turn it off, upon turning it on, a message popped into her phone, it was from an unknown number.
While Olivia and Cherry were invested in their chit chat, Stacy was focused on her phone, her fingers trembling as she tapped on the message.
“Where are you and our daughter, please come home.”
Stacy fronwed, reading the message again to confirm she read it right. She swallowed, secretly peeping at Olivia and Cherry, they were still into their conversation.
Just then, Morgan walked into the living room, “My uncle Morgan!!” Cherry’s excitement echoed in the room, as she stood up and ran towards Morgan, engulfing him in a hug.
Morgan smiled and kissed her cheeks, “How are you doing?”
“I’m fine! Super duper fine, pretty aunty is my favorite aunty, she calls me Sweetheart. Uncle isn’t that nice?”
Morgan’s gaze trailed towards Olivia and she looked away.
“Hello Mr. Morgan,” Stacy greeted nervously and only got a nod as a reply. Morgan walked past her and went to sit close to Olivia, he dropped Cherry on his lap and turned to Olivia. He grabbed her chin and kiss her lips,
“You okay?” He asked, secretly glancing at her belly.
Olivia, who didn’t expect the sudden kiss was flushed red with embarrassment, she glared at Morgan, “They are looking!”
“Pretty aunty, I’m not looking, my eyes are closed.” Cherry’s voice suddenly interrupted then, as she covered her eyes with her small hand.
Morgan chuckled and scattered her hair with fingers. He got up and left for his room.
Stacy, who wasn’t only surprised but stunned, couldn’t believe Morgan had such a tender affectionate side to him. He actually kissed a woman, and she seemed to be pregnant. That’s new.
“You’re really lucky.” She suddenly said,
Olivia looked up to meet Stacy’s soft gaze, “All my years of knowing Morgan, he’s never been like this with anyone, not even his father, not to talk of a woman.” She smiled.
Olivia returned the smile and mouthed thanks to her.
“You’re with a child, right?”
Olivia nodded awkwardly, her hands slowly reaching for her stomach.
“Congrats.” Stacy smiled wider.
“Thank you.”
“Mommy, am I going to have a new sister? Is pretty aunty going to give me a new sister?”
Stacy sighed. Cherry jumped down from the couch, “Yes!! I’m going to have a new sister.” She jumped in happiness.
Immediately she sighted Morgan, walking towards them, she ran towards him and whined everything to him. “Pretty aunty is going to give me a pretty sister, yeah, yeah, I’ll play with my new sister and we’ll go to school together. I won’t tell my bad daddy!!”
Morgan sighed, knowing she must have overheard it from Olivia’s and Stacy’s conversation. This kid is really smart.
“You said you had something important to discuss with me.”
Stacy nodded.
“I’ll be with you shortly, ” Morgan said and kissed Olivia once more.
“Uncle doesn’t like me anymore.” Cherry pouted, as he didn’t get any kisses. Morgan chucked and kissed her head.
Olivia couldn’t tell what was wrong with Morgan, or was he just showing off in front of Stacy, but why would he even do that. She sighed.
Morgan sat opposite Stacy in the gazebo, “Speak” he demanded.
She was about to say something when her phone suddenly started ringing, she glanced at it and saw it was her mom.
“Mom?” She frowned.
After she decided to get married to Xavier, her mom disowned her, not only her mom, but her family. They only wanted her to get married to Morgan not Xavier, since he wasn’t the rightful heir.
After all these while, she hadn’t heard from either of them, but now her mother was calling her. Could it be that they couldn’t hate anymore and decided to forgive her.
She looked apologetically at Morgan and took the call. Immediately an ear shattering cry broke out from the other end.
“Mom? Mom, what’s wrong?”
As if the phone was being snatched from her mom, Xavier’s cold voice laughed.
“You’ve wanted my love all these years and now, you’re playing hard to get?”
“Xavier?! What are you up to?”
Morgan frowned.
“If you still love your family, I suggest you tell nothing, I repeat nothing, you tell nothing to Morgan and return with Cherry.” he warned coldly.
“Xavier you can’t do this…”
Just then, her father’s painful cry broke out, “Stacy do as he said.”
“Dad? Xavier please I beg you, don’t hurt them.” She said, as tears cloaked her throat.
“Do what I asked you to.”
With that the call went off, and Stacy bursted into tears. Morgan dislikes seeing crying women, unless it was his wife. His face darkened, as he spoke. “What happened?”
“Xavier, he’s with my parents. He’s hurting them.” She sobbed, clutching her head in pain.
