Stacy shook head, tears streaming down her face. No matter what happens tonight, she vowed not to tell Xavier anything, he’d kill her straight away, so she kept her lips.
“Stacy Adams-”
She looked up to him smiling menacingly, “If I keep beating you, you won’t think twice and do what?”
“N-nothing, I swear, it’s nothing-”
“Really?”
She nodded sharply, he was about to charge at her, when a soft cry broke out in the room. They both paused, and turned to see Cherry’s little boys, her face was red and stained with tears. The next second she ran towards her mom, hugging her thighs, as she sobbed into them.
“Daddy, why do you keep beating mommy? Do you not love us anymore?” She sobbed and turned to look at Xavier, whose face seemed to fall a little.
Without saying a word, he turned and stormed off the room in large strides. It was then that Stacy fell to the ground and cried miserably. All these while she’s been assuring herself with hopes that Xavier will one day come to love her back, but it seemed to be her own luxurious delusion. She was sure he was going to keep beating her, if her daughter had not arrived, the look in his eyes said it all, there was no place for her in his heart.
“Mom, stop crying, if not I’ll really cry with you.” Cherry’s soft and sobbing voice said, as she leaned towards her mom, using her small chubby hands to clean her tears.
Stacy smiled between sobs, she pulled her daughter closer and hugged her, rubbing her hair, as she kissed her. “Mom won’t cry again okay? Mom loves you, okay?”
Cherry nodded and kissed her mom’s tears, “Mom is a super woman and super woman don’t cry, right mom?”
“Yes baby.” She smiled, rubbing her head.
“Mom hold on, I’ll be right back.” Cherry got up from her mom’s lap and ran off into the room. Inside the room, Cherry looked around the room as if looking for something, she smiled when her eyes fell on it.
“Found you!” She smiled, when she grabbed it and then she turned and left the room.
“Look here mom, I found it.” She smiled, waving the phone at her mom, who wiped her tears immediately when she noticed her coming steps.
“What’s that?”
“I’m going to call uncle Morgan and tell him that dad’s beating you. I don’t want to live here anymore, I want to live with uncle Morgan.” She pouted her lips, staring at his contact on the screen.
“No baby, don’t involve him, uncle Morgan might be busy this time, you don’t want to disturb him, do you?”
Cherry shook her head, “But mom, uncle won’t get mad when Cherry calls him, I really want to call him.” With that, she tapped on the screen and dialed his number.
As if he was expecting a call from her, the line went through.
“Did you miss uncle and decided to call him?” Morgan’s deep, yet soft voice said, as he answered the phone.
Cherry suddenly broke in tears and began to sob, “Uncle, I don’t want to live with dad anymore, dad is a bad man and he keeps beating my mom.” She sobbed, her soft and tender voice showing how unhappy she felt.
“That jerk,” Morgan sighed, rubbing his head.
“Are you with your mom?”
“Yes, my mommy is crying, should I hand over the phone?”
Stacy shook her head, not wanting to speak with Morgan. What was she going to tell him? That Xavier keeps beating her up? No way, the only way she could end it all is by filing for a divorce.
“No need, tell her to meet at Evaris by tomorrow’s evening, meanwhile she can bring you here in the morning.”
Cherry, utterly happy, jumped up in happiness, “That’s why I love you uncle, muah. Mom! I told you, uncle is a super duper uncle.” She boosted proudly and ended the call.
“You shouldn’t have called him Cherry,” Stacy scolded.
“Mom, you worry too much, uncle will help us out and we will get away from my bad dad.”
“Come here.” She sighed and hugged her once more, kissing her head.
The next day,
Gilbert’s Mansion,
“Son, I think we might a problem,” cecilia’s panicked voice ranged through the room, as she paced up and down.
Xavier frowned, as confusion was marred on his face. “Mom, what are you taking about?”
“You need to hold Stacy captive, I feel she knows something she shouldn’t, I’m not sure but I feel restless Xavier, don’t let her out of your grip. You need to start treating her well.”
“Mom? I’m confused right now, what does she know?”
Cecilia walked up to him and leaned to whisper into his ear. Xavier widened his eyes in shock, his mind quickly darting back the incident last night.
”Could this be related to what she said she’ll do if I kept beating her?’ he thought and quickly got up.
“Mom, I need to leave. We had issues last night, I need to find her, fuck!” He groaned.
Cecilia nodded, “Be fast about it son.”
With that, he grabbed his car key and left.
It wasn’t long before Xavier reached home, althrough the drive home, he kept dialing Stacy’s number, but all of were sent to voice mail.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!!”
He barged into the mansion with large strides, “Stacy!” His voice echoed in the place, as he hurried to her room. On reaching there, her room was wide open, with no trace of her.
“Stacy, where the fuck are you?” He dialed her number again, which was quickly sent to voice mail.
After searching the whole house not seeing a trace of her, Xavier quickly informed Franco to find her, it was then that he told him that, she was at Morgan’s place, together with Cherry.
“What?! Are you decided to tell me just now?” he barked and quickly hung up.
He stormed off the house and went to his car, preparing to leave for Morgan’s house when a message popped into his phone.
Emily;
Hi, Xavi, what’s up?
