Olivia woke up to find Morgan gone, her groggy gaze roamed around the room, she touched the side he laid and it was cold, signifying he’s been gone for a long time.
Images from what happened last night flooded into her head and she blushed. She still couldn’t believe how things felt nice and escalated between them leading them to have a passionate night.
Her stomach grumbled, reminding her that she hadn’t had anything to eat since last night. She gently got up from the bed, it was then that she realized she was draped inside Morgan’s oversized polo, she smiled and walked out of the room.
Olivia hadn’t even reach the living room, when a mouth watering aroma wafted into her nose, making her hungry body escalate. She dashed to dining room, not seeing any sign of Morgan or anybody.
“Morgan, Morgan!” She called, walking slowly towards the kitchen, but got no answer.
“Who’s there? Morgan? Nicholas?”
Still not getting any reply, she decided to go see for herself, just as she was about to enter the kitchen, a tall figure walked out from the kitchen, slightly startling her already racing heart.
“Oh my God! You startled me-” Olivia gasped, and immediately frowned, as soon as her gaze met with the man’s unfamiliar face.
“I’m so sorry ma’am.” His soft voice asked, as he rushed to place the tray of food he was carrying on the dinning, and returned.
“Are you okay, ma’am?”
“I’m fine. Who are you?” Olivia questioned sharply, taking two steps back from the man.
The man seemed to be in his middle age, his dark brown hair, shaved and styled neatly, dressed in a chef uniform, made Olivia more confused.
”Is he the new chef?’
Just before the man could Introduce himself, Morgan walked into the scene, his aura suddenly turning the place silent.
Olivia’s gaze turned sharply at him and her brows knitted deeper.
“Come here,” he said gently, nodding her towards him.
With slow strides, Olivia walked up to him. He pulled her to him, gently patting her hair, like she was some kind of doll, causing her body to still.
“Sweetheart, meet the new chef. He was supposed to only cook for only yesterday, but you fell asleep, I thought about it and decided he should work here.” Morgan said softly, rubbing her shoulders, with his free palm.
‘What’s come over him?’ ‘Sweetheart?’ Olivia fronwed slightly, which was quickly replaced with soft smile, as she realized, that the chef smiled gently at her.
“Uhhm, hi, you’re welcome.” She said awkwardly, pinching Morgan to take her away. She already embarrassed herself enough.
Morgan frowned lightly and glanced at her, she glared at him.
“The foodie getting cold already, I’ll go ahead.” Olivia said, as she secretly shoved Morgan’s away from her, and went to grab a seat.
It was then that Morgan understood what she was trying to tell him earlier, he chuckled and shook his head at her childish action.
XAVIER’S HOUSE
“Xavier, you can’t keep doing this to me, we are married, we have a child, I…I” Stacy sobbed, as she walked into Xavier’s room to find making out with another girl on his bed.
The previous times, she’ll endure and let it go. As long it made him happy, she was ready to allow him do it, but recently she’s been feeling very wronged and cheated.
Even Cecilia, Xavier’s mom couldn’t talk his child out of his behavior, rather she took sides with him, whenever she went to her to tell her about all the things Xavier did.
Xavier, who frowned, seemingly angry because his good time was disrupted, turned to glare at Stacy. “Get lost!” He roared.
At other times, Stacy would leave, once she sees the anger in his eyes, but right then she didn’t dare to move, her tears rolling in large streams.
“Why should I be the one leave? Xavier for God’s sake, I’m your wife and i can’t stomach all these for a long time. I love you and you know it.” She sobbed harder.
Xavier glanced the thick brunette laid on his bed, “Leave.” He said, grabbing her clothes that were scattered on floor and gave them to her.
“Babe, but…”
“Which part of leave, did you not hear? I said leave!!”
The girl flinched, she had never seen a man which such temper before, so she hurriedly got down from the bed, changed into her dress and left.
Stacy and Xavier were the ones left in the house, it was then that she decided to leave for the living room, giving him space to change into something.
Even dating partners are comfortable seeing their partner naked, but it was different for them, although they were married.
It wasn’t long before Xavier walked into the living room, his eyes, red with anger and veins popping out from his forehead. Stacy, seeing this, felt a sudden rush of adrenaline, her heart suddenly racing with fear, she swallowed and got up from the chair she sat.
“What was that, huh?” Xavier asked, taking dangerous slow steps towards her.
She moved back, at each step he took, conscious of his next action. “Xavier, ca…ca…calm down, I…”
Xavier laughed menacingly, his voice filled with dark intent. “You want me to calm down right?”
Stacy nodded shakingly, her eyes dancing with fear, she knew what Xavier was capable of especially when he was angry, but yet, how did he expect her to stay still and stomach all his cheating behaviour.
He laughed again, “You look scared, what’s happening to you? Are you unwell?” He frowned lightly, feigning to be worried, as he took more steps forward.
Stacy clenched fists got deeper, as her finger nail sank into her flesh, her palms stinging from the pain. “Xavier, I don’t know why you’re doing this, but we’re married and we have a child. What if…”
Thud!
Stacy didn’t get to finish her words, when Xavier’s cold palm landed hard on her cheek, making her eyes sting and her tooth ached.
“You dare to defy my word? You dare to question my order?” He barked fiercely, gazing at her with resentment.
She sobbed, still holding her cheek, “Xavier, if you keep beating me like this, I won’t think twice and…” she paused, swallowing the rest of her words.
“And do what? Tell me, what will you do?”
