“Does that have anything to do with what you want to say?” Morgan asked, oblivious to her tears.
”Was she not the one that fell in love with him and married him?’
“Yess! He doesn’t want me to say a word, why will Xavier go for parents??” Her sob Intensified
“Which city are your parents in?”
She was about to say something, when her phone beeped with an incoming message, she hastily read it, with her breath caught in her throat, she stood up and grabbed her bag.
“I’m so sorry, I have to leave!” She said between choked sobs.
“That was Xavier, right? If you don’t say anything, how do you expect me to help you?” Morgan’s cold words rang in her ear.
She paused and gulped hard, the context of the message replaying in her head, “I’m sorry, I don’t need your help and please, I don’t need any of your men following me. Thank you.”
With that, she hurriedly stumbled out, not even looking back.
‘If Xavier could go as far as holding her family hostage just to keep her mouth shut, then what she wanted to say was really important.’
Morgan took out his phone and called Nicholas, after giving out orders he ended the call and returned to the living room, as it was already dark.
Cherry had already been tucked to sleep by Olivia, who was waiting for Morgan to join her for dinner.

Stacy glanced at her phone and at the address on the large sign post before a dilapidated building.
”It must be here.’ she thought. But why would Xavier ask her to come to a building with bad ruins, that seemed to have been ruined for a long time.
She was still thinking, when another message popped into her phone, she read it and proceeded to enter the building, as instructed by the message he sent.
It was a three storey building, with spoiled and rusted steps, if one wasn’t too careful they might really fall from the steps.
Stacy finally managed to walk up to the last floo, her heart thumping with fear and anxiety, as she walked into the pitch dark room. She grabbed her phone and turned on the torch light.
What really is Xavier planning?
“Xavier? Anyone here?” She slowly called, her body suddenly trembling.
“Keep your voice down, you’re disturbing the peace of this building.” A sharp woman’s high-pitched voice warned.
Stacy suddenly whipped her head to the woman’s direction, to find a woman standing before her, she couldn’t quite see her face clear under the night, but she saw the outline of the mask on her face.
Stacy stepped back a bit, although she couldn’t see the woman’s face or what she looked like, she could feel the deep hatred and resentment directed at her.
Who exactly is this woman?
“I’m sorry for disturbed your peace, I’ve come to find my husband, Xavier.”
The woman suddenly burst into a scornful laughter, her voice sending shivers down Stacy’s spine, She swallowed sharply.
“You still dare to call him your husband, how pathetic.” She scoffed.
Stacy frowned, now she was curious, it seems the woman knew her husband or, was she sent by Xavier? As this thought crossed her mind, she looked up to the woman, “Did Xavier send you here?”
“Do you really think I have time for chit-chat? Especially not with you.” “Dante! Come tie her up”
Stacy widened her eyes in shock, she quickly backed away. Xavier must have hired this woman to keep her captive so she won’t spill anything to Morgan, but then, how did he find out? What will happen to her parents?
She took a few backs, wanting to reach for the entrance and run, then again, she remembered the steps weren’t that strong, she might slip and fall, if she wasn’t careful.
She was still pondering, when the door was instantly closed behind her, she whipped her head towards the door to see it was really closed, it was then that she saw a tall and bulky man, standing next to the woman.
He must be Dante.
“Please, whatever you’re about to do don’t do it, I only came to reason with Xavier, he has my parents hostage.”
“Didn’t you call him your husband earlier? Tsk, how’s that even my business? I’m here to do my job, Dante, do it already, let’s get this over with.”
Dante, also masked, walked up to Stacy and grabbed her. She struggled, but she was no match for him, he was too strong. On a whim, she was brought and tied to a chair, giving her space to move. Tears formed in her eyes, she had no idea Xavier could do this to her, even went as far as involving her parents, her heart ached and she cried.
“What were you about to tell Morgan?” The woman’s voice came again, breaking her away from her misery.
Stacy paused and brought her face to look at her, “You really think I’ll tell you. I’m sure Xavier sent you, he as well told you what it is.”
Slap!
The woman backhanded Stacy, making her cheek burn painfully, she was sure a bruise was forming on her cheek. The same cheek Xavier slapped her, she sighed and brought her face down, tears streaming down her face.
“You better watch your tongue, else I won’t guarantee giving you a slow death as Xavier had asked me to.”
“Slow death?”
“Xavier wants me dead?” She found herself asking, deep fear engulfed.
“You’re lucky he’s not doing it himself, he can’t bear to kill you himself, so he asked me to.” The woman answered sharply.
“But why? I’ve done nothing wrong to Xavier.”
“Really? He thinks you know something you shouldn’t and he was sure about it the moment you visited Morgan.”
Stacy swallowed. Yes, she went to Morgan’s house to tell him everything, and she doesn’t regret any bit of it. Xavier has finally turned to a monster all because of power, to the extent to get her dead, so words about his deeds won’t get out.
Stacy chuckled, she knew Morgan would take care of Cherry if she was dead, and her parents? Xavier must have let them go as she didn’t tell Morgan anything to Morgan.
She raised her face to look at the woman, tears brimming in her eyes, and her expression solemn, “Kill me already,” she said.
