Chapter 2096: Stepping into Phoenix City

After two days of chaotic fighting, Billy and his group intervened, swiftly quelling the turmoil with decisive action.
Billy then summoned the top sects and families of Ice City. Initially, many underestimated him, especially a sect second only to Frost Palace, which was particularly defiant. The result was that none of their leaders left the City Lord’s Mansion alive.
Using a combination of incentives and threats, Billy stabilized the situation and handed over the City Lord’s Mansion to the third-ranked sect in Ice City.
With these matters settled, Billy and his group headed towards the teleportation passage.
Notably, Amber had recently undergone Thunder Tribulation. As expected, she easily withstood two strikes and advanced directly to the third-rank Perfection Emptiness Realm.
Upon returning to the City of the Unclaimed, Mitchell Monroe bid farewell and returned to Heavenly Scent Pavilion, while Billy and his group went to the Alchemists’ Alliance compound.
“Boss!” Casey and the others greeted them enthusiastically.
Azure Dragon and Azure Fang had fully recovered from their injuries after several days of rest. Like Amber, Casey and Stout had also undergone Thunder Tribulation, both breaking through to the third-rank Perfection Emptiness Realm.
Over the next half month, Billy’s group stayed at the Alchemists’ Alliance. With ample cultivation resources, Azure Dragon, Azure Fang, Ian Blade, and Bob advanced to the half-step Perfection Emptiness Realm, just a step away from breaking through. Felicia, Vermilion Bird, and White Tiger reached the eighth-rank Entering Emptiness Realm, while Night Orchid and Frostblade advanced to the seventh-rank Entering Emptiness Realm.
One morning, after bidding farewell to Liana, Billy’s group headed towards the teleportation passage.
Next stop, Phoenix City!
Initially, Billy had intended to go to Phoenix City for the Alchemists’ Alliance’s mid-tier Spirit Essence Pill recipe. However, given their current resources from the Netherworld Clan’s warehouse, they no longer needed it. Even with a high-purity mid-tier Spirit Essence Pill, breaking through required time.
Billy’s visit to Phoenix City was now mainly to fulfill a promise to meet Juliana Frost and inquire about the sixth-tier star domain.
That afternoon, they emerged from the teleportation passage and flew towards Phoenix City. About ten minutes later, they arrived at an open area outside the city.
Phoenix City was comparable in size to Ice City but was evidently better planned and organized. The people they encountered seemed friendlier too.
“Boss, I’ll ask for directions to the Alchemists’ Alliance,” Azure Dragon said as he approached a nearby shop. He returned two minutes later, pointing ahead. “Boss, the Alchemists’ Alliance is in the city center. Just follow this road straight ahead.”
“Let’s go,” Billy nodded and led the group forward.
They hadn’t walked far when a loud noise erupted from their right.
“What’s happening?” Judge asked.
“Strong fighters are battling,” Casey replied.
“Boss, should we check it out?” White Tiger asked Billy.
“No,” Billy shook his head. He was in Phoenix City to gather information from Juliana Frost and didn’t want any distractions. “Let’s keep moving.”
As they continued walking, the commotion on their right grew louder.
“What’s going on? Who dares cause trouble in Phoenix City?”
“I don’t know who exactly, but I heard it’s the Cooper family. A group of fierce-looking people stormed their compound and started killing everyone.”
“The Cooper family? No way! Even top sects in Phoenix City wouldn’t dare attack them lightly.”
Billy’s group overheard these conversations as they walked.
“Boss, it’s the Cooper family in trouble,” Azure Dragon informed Billy.
“Let’s check it out,” Billy decided. Despite not wanting to meddle, he couldn’t ignore trouble involving the Cooper family. Maisy Cooper had been their first ally in the fifth-tier star domain and had helped them significantly.
A few minutes later, they arrived above the Cooper family compound. The ground and sky were filled with fighting figures, with many already lying injured or dead.
Billy quickly assessed both sides’ strength. The strongest was a fifth-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm old man in a blue robe, fighting two gray-robed elders at the late fourth-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm, both heavily injured. Besides these three, there were over ten Breaking Emptiness Realm fighters on each side.
One side was clearly losing and wouldn’t hold out much longer.
“Who is the head of the Cooper family?” Billy shouted, his voice amplified by Chi power.
Everyone turned to look at him.
“Get lost if you don’t want to die!” a white-robed man in the air shouted angrily at Billy.
“I’m a friend of Miss Cooper…” Billy began again.
“If you’re tired of living, I’ll end you!” The white-robed man attacked Billy mid-sentence.
“Watch out!” a gray-robed middle-aged man shouted a warning.
Before he finished speaking, a blade flashed, and the white-robed man fell from the sky, lifeless before he hit the ground.
Everyone was stunned. A first-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm cultivator had been killed in one strike by a young man at sixth-rank Perfection Emptiness Realm!
“You’re courting death!” A third-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm elder charged at Billy next.
The result was no different. With his current strength and bloodline power activated, Billy’s Heavenly Fury Slash easily killed third-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm opponents. The elder was split in half mid-charge, blood spraying everywhere.
Gasps echoed around them as everyone stared in disbelief. A third-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm elder killed in one strike? What kind of monster was this?
