In the blink of an eye, it was time for Xavier and his wife, Avery, to return home. Avery was in her husband’s arms grinning from ear to ear and said, “My handsome husband, I will cherish every sweet moment we spend together and keep them locked away safely.
My handsome husband, you have made me the happiest woman on earth. You have touched my heart deeply with the warmth of your embrace, gentleness, and tenderness.
When I am in your arms, I know that I am home. Thank you, my handsome husband, for showing me how it feels to be loved.”
Xavier looked at his beloved wife with gentleness in his eyes and replied, “Sweetheart, every time I look at you, you take my breath away. Your warm smile and your kindness captured my heart. You are my precious treasure.
I love you with every beat of my heart and my soul. You are my once-in-a-lifetime, Sweetheart. You make my life complete, and I am blessed to have you as my wife.”
They brought herbal health tonic products for their grandfather to nourish his body. They bought handcrafted Maldives jewelry and sarongs for the ladies.
Since Hawaii was famous for their Aloha shirts, they bought them for their grandfathers and their dads. They also bought 100% Kona Coffee and rich, buttery Macadamia nuts as souvenirs for everyone at home.
When they arrived at the King Shaka International Airport, Wayne was there waiting for them. Xavier beamed when he saw his bodyguard. Avery looked around for her bodyguard, but she wasn’t there.
Wayne greeted his boss and his wife, then he took the trolley from his boss. They walked to the parking lot. Avery looked at Wayne and asked, “Where is Portia, Wayne?”
Wayne replied, “A week after your wedding, my sister was dumped by her boyfriend and she decided to go back to the army.” Avery was dumbfounded and asked, “What happened, Wayne? I thought they loved each other dearly.”
Wayne shook his head and said, “Hunter’s ex-girlfriend happened. She told him that she wanted him back. Then Hunter told my sister that his ex-girlfriend owned his heart, then he dumped her. My sister didn’t see it coming, she was heartbroken.”
Avery couldn’t believe her ears because Hunter was not happy in his relationship with Miss Fox. It was clear to her that he was in a one-sided relationship. Why would he throw away what he had with Portia for a one-sided relationship?
It didn’t make sense to her because they were a perfect couple. She was reminded of her relationship with Jordan Bennet. She had learned a hard lesson that love cannot be forced. Her heart ached for her friend.
Xavier hugged his wife tightly and said, “I don’t think Miss Fox will make Hunter happy. I am just hoping that my friend will not regret the decision he made because the love he shared with Portia happens once in a lifetime.
Hunter was supposed to protect their love with everything he had, but he let it slip through his fingers.” Xavier vowed that he would protect their love at all costs. He would never allow anyone to come between him and his wife.
At the Taylor family mansion, Mr Taylor senior had invited the Martins family and the Evans family to celebrate his precious grandson and his granddaughter in love. Pastor Basil, Grandma Rose, and her husband came as well.
When Grandpa Taylor heard the sound of the car, he walked outside to greet them. He was grinning from ear to ear. He kissed his beloved granddaughter in love, then he hugged his son tightly and said, “Welcome back my precious grandchildren.”
He was over the moon. His friends were still talking about his grandchildren’s wedding to date. Mr Martins had sent him the CD of the rehearsal dinner and the wedding ceremony. It was the wedding of the century.
Their parents were waiting for them at the door to welcome them back. They were hugged and kissed. Her mother-in-law smiled brightly and asked, “How was your honeymoon, Sweetheart?
Avery flashed her mother-in-law a beautiful smile and replied, “It was awesome, and it was filled with joy and laughter, Mom. We brought back unforgettable memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.”
Then Xavier and Avery handed the gift bags to the elders. They were overjoyed when they saw the souvenirs.
At that moment, Chef Bruno and the waiters delivered food to the Taylor mansion. Xavier thanked Chef Bruno for everything, then he left with the waiters. The food was mouth-watering.
After lunch, Xavier and his wife spent time with their family showing them the photos they took in the Maldives and Hawaii.
Avery looked at Aunt Caia smiling and said, “Mom, during your honeymoon, please visit these islands. Please add Mauritius and Seychelles to your list.”
Aunt Caia smiled brightly and looked at her husband with anticipation. Her husband smiled and said, “I will take two months’ vacation leave and enjoy these islands.” His wife was over the moon. She couldn’t wait to have her beach wedding.
Later, the in-laws bid farewell to the Taylor family and left. Xavier and his wife went to their bedroom to rest. They were tired after a long flight.
Avery had a dream. She was in the living room with the whole family chatting and laughing. At that moment, Sage walked to her crying and said, “Aunt Avery, help me.” She repeated these words several times.
Avery looked at Sage with eyes full of concern and asked, “What is wrong, Sweetheart?” Sage kept saying, “Please help me, Aunt Avery.” Avery sat on the bed with eyes closed, but her body was trembling.
Her husband woke up and hugged her tightly and asked, “Do you have a nightmare, my stunning wife?” Avery hugged her husband’s back and replied, “I dreamed of Sage asking me to help her, my love. I think she is in trouble.”
Her husband shook his head and said, “It’s just a dream, Sweetheart. We tried to reach out to Sage, but she was rude to us. The Moore family ended up threatening us with a court interdict should we continue contacting them.
Sweetheart, I don’t want to have anything to do with Sage and the Moore family. Sage’s hatred towards you is deep because I chose you over her. The Moore family had fed her so many lies about her mother’s death.”
Avery knew that her husband was scared for her life, but she was shaken by the dream. Was it just a dream, or it was Sage crying for help? Should she just ignore the dream and forget about it? What if the Lord was showing her something?
