Everyone of the students had their gaze fixed on Olivia, as they wanted and waited for her to answer the call.
Olivia raised her face to acknowledge the stares directed at her, she quickly slipped the phone into her bag, and went towards the direction the teacher went earlier.
“I so much hate how she acts all arrogant and confident.” A girl whispered to her friend.
“Tsk, her beauty is such a waste. She should count her stars, that it wasn’t me who she fought with, I’ll make sure to scratch and distort that face of hers.”
“I’m sure, she’s getting a suspension or expelled. Redcrest doesn’t play with their reputation, especially a clean proof like this.”
“Lucy must be gloating, wherever she is right now.”
They kept on whispering and gossiping, until Olivia could no longer hear them. She was yet to get into the principal’s office, when her phone started vibrating.
She took it out and glanced at the screen to see it was Morgan, she looked around her, and when she didn’t see anyone, she took the call.
Just as she was about to say something, she heard approaching footsteps and quickly off the call. Whe Morgan called again, she didn’t pick up and turned her phone off.
She was about to open the door to the director’s office, when it was opened from inside, revealing the teacher from earlier. Her face was still contorted with disdain, which made Olivia think back, if she had offended her before this Incident.
“What are you standing there for? Go inside already, don’t keep him waiting!” She barked, startling Olivia.
Olivia nodded and went into the office. Her eyes roamed around the large and spacious building. Her eyes were still roaming, when it stopped on a middle aged man, who had white bears and wore a rimless glass.
“Goodday sir.” She nodded, straightening herself, as she stood in front of the man.
The man was silent for like five minutes, before he cleared his throat and started, “You’re Olivia Winters?”
“Yes I am sir.”
“Have a seat.”
Olivia was stunned, is she not going to get a handful of reprimands?
Olivia was expecting the man to look at her, the same other students and teacher looked at her, but his gaze was different. Though not giving anything out, or emotion.
Olivia pulled out a seat for herself and sat down, deep down, she knew she wasn’t going to say anything to defend herself, not even in front of the principal, once he tried to accuse her.
“Do you have an idea of what punishment offenders like you receive?”
Here we go again, He was accusing her, without even asking her what actually happened. Can’t you ask, to hear from the other side of the story? Olivia screams internally, as she looks away from man, her gaze and expression turning stoic.
She didn’t even care to reply to his question, as she and already made up her mind not to answer any question as long as she was first accused.
“I’m asking you a question, young lady.” The principal said, taking off his glasses.
Olivia remained silent, not even sparing him a glance, which got the man angry. He slapped the desk in anger, “You dare to ignore my question, after committing an offense as serious as this?!” He barked, pointing at his phone.
Olivia raised her face to look at him, she could already see how angry he was, as his face now a mixture of red and purple. His veins popped out, as his brows were knitted so deeply, that it could kill a fly.
When the man thought that, Olivia was going to say something, because she looked at him, but she looked away again, not saying a word to him.
Meanwhile, outside the office, in the school environment, so many students took out their phones to take pictures, as they saw Nicholas strode out from the luxurious and expensive car.
With a large strides and a stoic expression, he walked into the school.
“Omg! Isn’t this young master’s right hand man, he’s so young and handsome!!”
“He’s just a mere assistant, you’re all causing a ruckus in vain.”
“You’re stating rubbish, working for the Gilbert’s family isn’t it the same as a golden opportunity. He’s never going to be poor in his lifetime.”
“That’s true!! I think I’m crushing on him already, gosh!”
“He’s too handsome, but why has he come to our school today? Does he want to pick a bride?
“You’re delusional, Tasha. Look, he’s coming, omg!”
“You’re all bent on admiring him, can’t you see the hot bodyguards walking behind him. I want to get pregnant for any of them, they are hot and hot?”
Their whispers, murmur were too much, as Nicholas headed to the director’s office.
Morgan wanted him to take Olivia home, the press were already outside the school, waiting for her to come out. It’s certain that some people might want to attack her, which he wouldn’t let happen.
The video had already gone viral, and it wasn’t easy to bring it down in a short span of time. Even if he were to order all those press to take down the video, Olivia’s face was captured and her identity was also at stake.
The tension inside the principal’s office was thick, and unbreathable for the principal as soon as Nicholas walked in.
Olivia’s face lightened, as soon as she saw Nicholas. If felt like she finally saw someone she knew, at least, she will be able to get away from the office, the school, from all of them that accused her.
Her hope was cut short, as Nicholas’ gaze lingered on her and he looked away.
Did he also see her as a bully? Did he really believe she could do all that, without a purpose?
Her palms suddenly turned cold, and she slipped them into her pants pocket. Earlier, she had thought that no one’s opinion of her mattered, which includes Morgan. But, seeing how Nicholas walked past her, her heart tugged at the imagination of Morgan walking past her like that.
Her mind drifted off, that she didn’t hear a thing from what Nicholas and the principal said. What brought her back from her drifting away was Nicholas’ voice.
“You’ll have to change into these, before we leave.” He said, handing a nylon to her.
Olivia frowned, “But why?”
“They’re pressed outside, waiting for you to come out, not only that some people might want to attack you. That video is all over the internet.” Nicholas whispered.
Olivia nodded and took the nylon from him.
“The changing room is over there.” The principal said, pointing in a particular direction. It was obvious that the principal was scared, his voice was shaky, so was his body. God knows what Nicholas told him.
Olivia didn’t want to think too much, she gave him a glance and walked away.
After some moments, Olivia returned. The principal frowned, as he saw her walk out, thinking it was another student, who sneaked into his office, he barked. “How dare you barge in, without knocking.”
Nicholas, who knew the contents in the nylon he handed to Olivia, recognized her by the outfit.
“You’re done?” Nicholas asked, helping her with her bag. Olivia nodded, she felt very uncomfortable with the wig on her hair.
It was then that the principal knew it was Olivia, he marveled at his inability to recognize her, In her disguise.
“Let’s go then.”
With that, Olivia left with Nicholas, both of them, not giving the principal another look.
