Morgan was dressed and ready to go to the office, just as he walked out of his room, he saw Olivia dressed formally, as if she were going somewhere.
He frowned, his gaze washing over all, “Where are you going?”
Olivia was startled, as she didn’t expect to see Morgan, she turned to look at him.
Damn! His face seems to be getting more manly and handsome each passing day.
“Good morning, uhmm….. I’m going to school.” she said, looking everywhere but his face.
“You’re sure? Cos, if you pass out, you won’t be able to stop them from coming to pick you, thereby exposing your little secret.”
Olivia shot him a glance, her gaze keen on his face, as if thinking of something. After a moment, she chuckled, “I’m fine, thanks to you for always reminding me to take the tonic.”
“And that reminds me, you’ve taken it?”
“Yeah, it was mixed in the tea I had for breakfast.”
Morgan nodded, “Let’s go then, I’ll drop you off.”
“What?, No way! I’d rather grab a cab!” She waved him off, as fast as she could.
“Cab?” Morgan’s voice changed as his gaze felt more piercing on Olivia.
Olivia choked on her saliva as she understood what he meant, with no other option left, she nodded and agreed to let Morgan drop her off.
The whole ride to Olivia’s school was silent, with Olivia stealing glances at Morgan. No matter, now hard she tried to overlook how good looking he was, especially when serious, she still found her eyes darting back to him.
At some point, when he caught her staring through the rear mirror, he smirked, and she looked away quickly, her face suddenly turning red.
Finally, the car pulled up and halted at the place where Olivia usually gets off.
“Thank you.” She said, and glanced at him through the rear mirror.
Morgan hummed and nodded, just as she was about to get down from the car, Morgan stopped her.
“Wait.” He said, and took out something from his jacket pocket and gave it to Olivia. It was a card, a diamond bank Card. Olivia could already tell the authority and authenticity of the card, it was only made for high profile and extremely rich tycoons.
“You already gave me your bank card, what am I supposed to do with this one?”
“Also keep it, I guess the first one was too small for you so I gave you this one. If you don’t use this one, I’ll assume it’s also small for you and get another one for you.”
“You’re kidding. I’m leaving already.” She sighed.
“Make sure to use it, else I’ll get another one for you.”
“Send my regards to Nick, I miss him?” She half yelled, so he could hear, with that, she hurried away, not looking back at Morgan’s car.
When she had walked a far distance and thought that his car was no longer there, she turned back. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the car still packed there and could feel his gaze fixed on her.
Olivia looked away immediately, her cheeks turning extreme red, as she hurried into the school.
A slight smile escaped Morgan’s lips, at her childish reaction. He knew she was eventually going to look back, so, while he made a call to confirm that the guards assigned to her were at close range, his gaze was glued on her back.
Olivia was still walking to where her class was located, when she noticed that someone was following her. She turned around to see Sofia tip toeing hurriedly towards her.
“Oh my God, Sofia!” She laughed.
“Holy Mary, it is really you, I wanted to be first sure, before I called you.” Sofia laughed and pulled Olivia into a hug.
“Where have you been?” She asked, and pulled a little bit from Olivia to examine her face.
Olivia chuckled, “I’ve been in Manila, I was just sick for some days.”
“Really? You don’t look like someone who recovered from being sick, you look plump and cheeky.” Sofia smiled, and pinched the little cheek on her face.
Olivia was all smiles, “I didn’t really miss out, did I?”
“Not really. I’m taking your number for real, so, if I don’t see you I’ll call, maybe also know your house, so I’ll visit you.” Sofia added.
“It’s not really necessary, I’ll just give you my number.”
“Alright, fine.” Sofia nodded and took out her number.
Unknown to Olivia, that she was being watched. At a far end, stood Ava, whose eyes and focus was keen on Olivia’s every move, actually wanting to see her face.
Ava had caught her mom stealing money from Larry’s briefcase, she used it as leverage and asked her mom to tell her everything that has been happening between her and Olivia’s mom.
With no other option left, Hilda told Ava everything, even the part when she was still friends with Olivia’s mom. She also told Ava that she instigated Lily to take her life, but she wasn’t sure if she was really dead. After everything, Hilda told Ava, Ava’s hatred for Olivia and her grew more intense, that she also wanted to kill and get Olivia out of their lives.
But her mom had warned her not to take orders into her own hands, rather she shared her plan with Ava. She asked her to monitor Olivia’s mood and countenance, if she was always sullen and cried sometimes, then her mom was really dead. But, if her mood was the opposite, then her mom was still alive.
Although, from Hilda’s source, she heard that Lily was really dead, she still wanted to confirm, before she went behind to jubilate.
So, as Ava was told, she was monitoring Olivia, but so far, Olivia had been only laughing and smiling with Sofia. She even seemed to gain more weight, which made Ava confused.
Sofia pulled Olivia and they went into the class, Ava also followed them, but made sure to maintain a distance.
The first class was over, yet, Ava didn’t seem to find anything wrong with Olivia or her mood. She seemed to think of another idea to get the truth out, though it would be harsh, but she was going to do it anyway as long as it will give the truth out.
