The Final Parliament Meeting III

Book:Mated To The Big Bad Alpha Published:2024-9-18

When the photos and videos of Alpha Wayne Knight and his mate taken from that mall in Lumpusberg began to circulate, Gia was more than angry. She hated the positive reactions and comments gotten and had to do something about it immediately. She paid an agency responsible for creating reviews (mostly fake reviews) to disrupt the peace of social media by posting nasty lies about Olive.
The agency was illegal but she still went ahead to pay them because of her desperation. However, to her utter dismay, as soon as negative comments were being uploaded, they were getting deleted. She lashed it out on the agency but unfortunately, they did not have control over what was happening.
She angrily asked for a refund but they totally shut her out, and even threatened to expose her with the fact that she was trying to tarnish the image of the future Luna.
Gia didn’t have their time that day because Wayne and Olive had arrived in Aspen City and he had called for another meeting. She therefore put in the rest of her time into encouraging and compensating the officials for backing her up.
The Media and Public Relations Minister was the one who received much more bribe than the others because he was the one to control the information that would circulate concerning Olive if the Alpha did not comply with them.
Actually, Gia had tried calling him concerning the photos at the mall in Lumpusberg but she stupidly decided to handle that one herself so she would not look too dependant on him. If he was the one who she had contacted instead, his backdoor comments would not have been easily deleted by whoever was trying to outsmart Gia. Or better still, he would have just deleted all the uploaded photos of Olive and Wayne and stop it from circulating further.
And now, the worst thing was happening on the internet again. More pictures were being uploaded and were sent to all the social media platforms of the packs, and that of international packs. Romantic photos of when Wayne and Olive were having dinner, talking and laughing, when they went on dates including the night she thrashed their dinner. Too many pictures that they were even being made into a video with a love song in the background.
Another video circulating was an interview with Olive and Wayne being asked questions about why they loved each other. This was the one that killed Gia the most because the reactions were just too much. She almost smashed her phone against the table as she read the comments.
Why did those dumb people even think that the two of them were compatible just because of a stupid video that was obviously scripted. Gia looked up at Olive from her phone with a glare. This witch was a perfect actress with the way she was playing everyone because a camera was put to her face.
The third news that was circulating was that of Olive’s past. A particular blog had narrated, with pictures even, of Olive’s forceful involvement with The Vrek Cult. Everything from the time she was kidnapped to the day she found her mate and under what scenario, was explained. Though, the deeper parts of it were left out.
However, the news covered the fact and even made it plain that she was a victim of kidnapping, hostage, and defenselessness. And that she only got her freedom after finding her mate. The writer of the article made sure to use words that would have a positive effect on the reader and make them feel sorry for her. The article also portrayed that Olive was a strong person and a very skilled fighter who matched the skillfulness of their Alpha. The comments under that blog’s article had surpassed fifty thousand under just ten minutes of it being posted.
Gia’s face had turned red by now. Including everyone else who realized that they were on the losing team. Their only trump card was using this information against Olive by threatening her of releasing it publicly. But the Alpha and his mate were smarter as they released that very information and turned the hearts of the people positively.
The people at the head of the table, consisting of Alpha Knight, his mate and his men were so pleased with the reactions from the officials. It was like a soothing incense rising up to them. Shem and Jericho were having most of the fun as they were sniggering and chuckling, making jests of some of the officials faces and not even bothering to keep it low but letting them hear it all.
Olive exhaled then stretched out her hand and Jake, the Beta handed over a brown envelope to her. She opened it and pulled out a file then held it up for everyone to see.
“And right here, is news that you wouldn’t want to get out into the pack, Lady Gia Kalif,” she drawled and Gia’s eyes latched onto the file, wondering what it was.
She shared glares with Olive then she scoffed.
“Playing games with me? What concerns me and whatever is in your hand or that damn file? I don’t have secrets like you do so I am not afraid of any news getting into the pack,” Gia spat out then rolled her eyes dramatically. Olive chuckled darkly and raised a brow at Gia.
“Really? You don’t have any secrets? Are you sure about that?” Olive drawled.
“What is going on here?” General Kalif asked. His ego was already getting bruised with the turn of events. He had thought Olive was truly a spy and assassin who was after their Alpha’s life. He thought she wasn’t truly his mate just as his daughter, Gia, had made him believe. And now he was hearing that Olive got kidnapped at age fourteen? How true was that? Or was that another lie from her?
Obviously, it wasn’t a lie because right there in his phone, he had seen pictures to prove it all. There were two pictures when she was fourteen and newly initiated with bruises all over her face. There were pictures of when she was sixteen and standing with other members of the cult. Pictures of when she was in a fight and being beaten up or beating someone up was there. All the pictures showed that she was in times of difficulty and that she didn’t like the life she lived.
He had believed that the pack would not want her if truly she was from The Vrek Cult but after what he had seen, even he would accept her if she truly went through all of this and was resilient at the end of it.
