Nathan glared, clutching his stinging cheek, and roared in fury, “You know what? Since I was a kid, no one has ever dared to slap my face. Even my second uncle has never laid a hand on my face.”
His voice trembled with rage. At that moment, he wanted nothing more than to tear Kayden limb from limb.
To be slapped in front of the woman he loved was a trampling of his dignity! How could Nathan, who was always so proud and arrogant, bear such humiliation? He raised his hand to retaliate, but Kayden firmly grabbed his upraised arm.
“Slap!” Kayden responded coldly, and before the word had even faded, he delivered another resounding slap with his other hand.
After two slaps, ten clear fingerprints were visible on Nathan’s face.
“Speak out of turn and you’ll face the consequences. No exceptions! Even if Fletcher were here, he wouldn’t dare raise his voice at me!” Kayden finished, following up with yet another slap.
After these three slaps, Nathan’s face was completely swollen, and his ego was shattered.
He glared at Kayden, seething with rage, and bellowed, “You… you… who the hell are you?”
Kayden didn’t answer Nathan’s question. Instead, he raised his foot and kicked Nathan hard in the stomach. With just one kick, Nathan’s body flew across the room, slamming heavily into the wall.
“I can’t believe Fletcher raised such a disgrace!” Kayden glared at Nathan, his voice dripping with contempt.
Nathan swallowed hard, let out a grunt, and said defiantly, “You wanna bet? I’ll call my second uncle right now!”
“Don’t bother. I don’t want to see him. Just get out of here,” Kayden coldly dismissed him.
He felt utterly disappointed in Fletcher, never imagining he’d have such a good-for-nothing nephew.
Hearing this, Nathan instinctively glanced at Sariah, who looked terrified.
“Ahahaha!” He slowly got up from the floor, laughing, “I get it now. You’re afraid of my second uncle! I’m going back right now to tell him. He’ll come and teach you a lesson! He’ll make you regret you were ever born.”
This was Nathan’s last act of defiance. Having said his piece, he furiously ran towards the door.
He’d barely taken a few steps when Kayden called out, “Hey, looks like you’re going the wrong way!”
“What?” Nathan turned back, looking at Kayden in confusion.
Kayden pointed at the window and said, “You should leave through here.”
Suddenly, a human figure flew out from the second floor.
“Oh my God! Someone just flew out of the building!” someone exclaimed.
“Mr. Atkinson, what’s going on?” Declan immediately rushed over to ask.
“SLAP!” Without a word, Nathan delivered a vicious slap to Declan’s face.
“Get lost!” Nathan roared, storming off to his car in a huff.
It must be said, Nathan’s constitution was remarkably robust. Falling from such a height, he emerged without a scratch. An ordinary person would have broken a few bones, if not worse.
In Hiphia, after work, Mya took the contract and arrived at the Adams family home.
Truth be told, she was quite looking forward to meeting the person who bought the villa. She hadn’t had the chance to treat him to a meal yet. Selling this villa was a significant milestone in her career; at least someone had recognized her work.
Moreover, the buyer’s generosity was simply astounding. Without batting an eye, he had swiped his card and signed the contract, as casually as if he were buying vegetables at the market.
Even now, Mya wondered just how wealthy a person had to be to buy a villa as easily as buying groceries.
Arriving at the Adams family’s door, she knocked.
The door opened quickly, revealing a pretty, adorable girl.
“Can I help you?” Leah asked, looking at the unfamiliar woman before her.
Mya let out an “Oh” and asked, “Is this Miss Georgia Adams’s home?”
Leah nodded. “Yes, what do you need my sister for?”
Mya handed the purchase contract and keys to Leah, saying, “Mr. Scott asked me to deliver these to Miss Georgia.”
“What?” Leah took the items, asking in surprise, “What are these?”
Then her eyes widened, and she exclaimed in delight, “The villa in the south of the city!”
