As its name suggested, Inassea Sky Rotating Restaurant was a restaurant suspended in mid-air, it was also the largest, most expensive, and most luxurious venue in the whole Inassea. In other words, people with a net worth of less than tens of millions weren’t even qualified to come here, as they wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway.
Sophie stopped when she got to the entrance of this restaurant. Although she was quite beautiful and had been to many luxurious venues, she had never been here. She was still a student after all, so she shouldn’t really be coming to such places yet. Besides, she was merely tagging along with Kayden and Sariah.
“Uh…”
Before Sophie could say anything, Sariah asked, “Dr. Scott, are you content with this place?”
Kayden nodded slightly and replied, “It’s fine.”
Luxurious places like this meant very little to Kayden. For him, they were all the same.
As they got out of the car, they saw a large crowd gathered around the restaurant. They looked like they had just cleft the restaurant.
“Who is this person? How powerful must they be to have booked the entire Sky Rotating Restaurant?” someone asked confusedly.
“Don’t you know? That’s Sariah Faulkner from the Henderson family, the most beautiful woman in the Southwest.”
“Wow, it’s her! She’s really stunning!”
“Yeah, I’d give a year of my life to spend just one night with her!”
“Don’t be ridiculous. Look at what happened to the young master of the Henderson family. He died within a month of marrying her. Maybe it was because he overexerted himself.”
This had been a very popular topic in Inassea. Everyone was saying that the young master’s death was due to his lack of self-restraint after marry such a beautiful wife.
“Hey, who’s that guy next to her? They seem quite close!”
“Damn, seriously? Did Sariah find a gigolo?”
“It looks that way, but is he a bit too shabby? He looks like a country bumpkin. Did he save the galaxy in his past life or something? How could someone like him end up with my goddess?”
“Such a waste, really. It’s infuriating!”
Many people were both angry and envious but there was nothing they could do about it. Some of them were even tempted to step up and take that guy down, ready to say, ‘Let me!’.
Sophie overheard their comments and realized that Sariah had indeed rented out the entire Sky Rotating Restaurant.
Standing beside Sariah, Sophie, who could have been the center of attention, now felt overshadowed and out of place.
“Um, I should head back to school now. Thanks for today, Kayden,” Sophie said politely. She didn’t really feel like staying here and being the third wheel.
Kayden showed no intention of keeping her there, merely nodding slightly. After all, that was the first time they had met, so Sophie was practically a stranger to him.
“Don’t you want to join us for dinner?” Sariah asked friendly.
Sophie shook her head. “No, thank you!”
“Ryan, take Miss Walsh back to school,” Sariah instructed the driver.
But Sophie quickly said, “It’s alright, I’ll just take a cab.”
“It’s no trouble. Ryan will drive you,” Sariah insisted.
With no choice, Sophie got into the car and couldn’t help but glance back at Kayden as she did. Who exactly was this man? How did he manage to get close to Sariah, who had always kept her distance from men?
Though he wasn’t unattractive, he wasn’t exceptionally handsome either. But it didn’t really matter to Sophie, as she was unlikely to see him again after this.
With this in mind, Sophie turned away her gaze, and let out a sigh.
Sariah and Kayden went into the restaurant, and a bald, elderly man greeted them at once, “Madam.”
Sariah nodded and asked, “Ariel, is everything ready?”
Ariel was only the nominal owner of the restaurant. In reality, it was owned by the Henderson family. That’s why everyone from the Henderson family called him Ariel rather than addressing him as ‘Mister’ like everyone else.
He quickly replied, “Everything is ready, Madam.”
“Thank you!”
Sariah gestured for Kayden to enter. “Dr. Scott, please.”
As the two went up the stairs, Ariel, despite being in his sixties, couldn’t help but look at Kayden with envy. To be alone with the madam was truly enviable.
No man, regardless of age, was able to resist Sariah’s beauty.
They went into a grand private room, where the opulence was beyond description. The chandelier on the ceiling alone could cost several million. Inside the private room was a large table covered with all kinds of rare and exotic dishes.
“I didn’t know what you like, so I prepared a bit of everything,” Sariah said to Kayden.
Kayden responded with a hum and took a seat. There was no need for him to be polite or feel uncomfortable with Wood Faulkner, as she was once his subordinate. And being Kayden’s subordinate meant a lifetime commitment.
Sariah was deeply intrigued by Kayden’s demeanor as well, as he was the first person who could dine with her at ease.
Meanwhile, Declan had followed them to the Sky Rotating Restaurant. When he saw that the place had been cleared out, he let out a smirk and said, “Kid, you’re finished. You dared to touch Mr. Atkinson’s woman. You’re as good as dead.”
He took out his phone and made a call. “Mr. Atkinson, Sariah brought a gigolo to the Sky Rotating Restaurant and she had rented out the entire place. You should come and check it out!”
“What? Are you sure?” a rough male voice answered from the other end.
Declan nodded vigorously. “I couldn’t be more sure. Hurry over!”
“Damn it, keep an eye on them. I’ll be there soon.” With that, the call ended abruptly.
Declan smiled even more smugly, thinking, ‘You’re no match for me. Embarrassing me in front of everyone? You’ll be done for now.’
Nathan was the infamous tyrant of Inassea, the kind of person people would cross the street to avoid.
Not to mention his impressive status, his fighting skills alone were enough to make people tremble. He could easily break bones with just one punch. Nathan had an exceptional physique, much stronger than most people. Coming from a family of martial artists, he had been training in martial arts since very young. Three years ago, when one of his uncles retired from the military, he taught even more combat skills to Nathan, making him yet more formidable.
Recently, he participated in some underground boxing matches in Inassea. In just one night, he killed twelve boxers, many of them with a single punch. As this news spread, Nathan quickly became well-known in Inassea as someone who’s not only wealthy, but also exceptionally skilled in combat.
Nathan had a bad temper. There’s a saying in Inassea that went, ‘Better to go to jail than to fall into Nathan’s hands, or you’ll know what it’s like to pray for death’.
Once, a drunkard had made Nathan upset, and Nathan threw him out of a window from the third floor. He died on the spot!
And that was just one small incident among all that Nathan had done.
Five minutes later, a Ferrari pulled up to the entrance of the Sky Rotating Restaurant.
