To save time, Rosalind threw on some clothes over her pajamas and headed out, intending to drop Ulric off at Easthaven Bay before returning.
Arriving at Red Summit International by taxi, she immediately spotted Ulric’s black Maybach.
“Miss Ruell, here are the car keys,” the assistant hurriedly handed them to her.
Rosalind didn’t detect any alcohol scent on him, but as soon as she sat in the car, she noticed the strong smell emanating from the man in the passenger seat.
“Please ensure Mr. Walters reaches home safely!” The assistant waved from the roadside.
Surprised, Rosalind asked, “Aren’t you coming with us?”
She wondered who would assist Ulric once they arrived at their destination.
“I have other matters to attend to.”
Rosalind was speechless but had no choice but to take the driver’s seat.
Glancing at Ulric beside her, she noticed his suit and shirt were still impeccable, and his handsome features resembled that of an Italian sculpture. However, his demeanor exuded an aura of distance, as if warning others to keep their distance.
Fortunately, his eyes were closed, giving the impression that he was asleep.
The car journey continued until they reached Easthaven Bay. Rosalind opened the passenger door and softly called, “Mr. Walters?”
No response.
Resigned to the task, Rosalind summoned all her strength to move the nearly six-foot-three man onto the bed in the bedroom. Finally, she let out a long sigh of relief and prepared to leave. However, as she turned to go, a pair of large hands encircled her waist!
With a slight force, she found herself falling onto the bed with Ulric.
“Mr. Walters!”
Rosalind exclaimed as she realized she was pinned beneath him. The hands that had been on her waist began to wander…
“Mr. Walters, you’re intoxicated! Let me get you some water!”
She attempted to free herself, but his strong arms held her firmly in place.
“Have you reconsidered?” Ulric’s voice took on a husky tone.
“I don’t understand what you mean, Mr. Walters,” she replied honestly. “If you regret our marriage, we can get a divorce. However, my mother’s medical bills…”
“Rosalind,” he interrupted, his frown deepening. “You lack a sense of conscience.”
There was a trace of resentment in his voice.
Ulric was undeniably heavily intoxicated!
“I understand you want to repay me for saving my mother from a dire situation. If terminating the contract is necessary, I should repay you immediately, but I’m unable to do so right now!” She was almost tempted to raise her hand and swear.
After a long pause, he sighed.
“I won’t allow you to terminate the contract.” Ulric released his grip and lay down beside her. “Turn off the lights and go to sleep.”
“But Mr. Walters-”
“If you don’t feel like sleeping, we can continue until tomorrow.”
Until tomorrow?!
Memories of their wedding night resurfaced, where he had persisted until she needed to hold onto the walls for support the next day. Rosalind fell silent quickly.
That night, she managed to escape unscathed, but in the morning, she awoke to kisses!
Seeing Ulric’s enlarged handsome face in front of her, Rosalind instinctively tried to evade him, only to realize her clothes were nowhere to be found.
“Mr. Walters!”
Ignoring her protests, he engaged in a brief foreplay before entering her body.
It wasn’t until she was too exhausted to address him as “Mr. Walters” that he finally released her. He even cleaned her up before heading to the shower himself.
Listening to the sound of running water from the bathroom, Rosalind felt as though the one who had been intoxicated the previous night wasn’t Ulric, but herself! How had she ended up staying at Easthaven Bay again?
“I’ve arranged for some clothes to be brought over,” Ulric stated as he emerged from the bathroom wearing a bathrobe and glanced at the woman on the bed. “You have the day off today. Cancel your rental lease and bring all your belongings here.”
