However, she didn’t neglect her responsibilities. After a moment of consideration, she spoke up, “I’ll take care of breakfast tomorrow.”
How could it be expected for an employer to serve their employee?
Ulric chuckled lightly, dressed in a casual dark outfit that gave him a somewhat laid-back appearance. He approached, pulled out a chair at the dining table, and seated himself. “You don’t need to hold back so much. Once we complete the registration today, you’ll be legally my wife.”
Observing his straightforwardness, Rosalind didn’t hesitate to inquire, “So, Mr. Walters, how long do you envision our contract marriage lasting? Should we sign an agreement? What are your thoughts?”
In business, clarity is essential, and she needed to establish a timeframe for herself.
If Ulric proposed a lengthy duration, she would need to carefully consider it!
A man’s prime lasts a long time. Even after Ulric obtains his divorce certificate, he would still be a desirable bachelor.
However, she would face difficulties. With such a marital history, it would be challenging for her to find someone else.
Ulric’s hand, holding the knife and fork, momentarily paused as if he was pondering the question.
After a while, he nodded. “I’ll have my secretary draft the contract. Let’s start with one year.”
“Okay,” Rosalind responded, finally feeling a sense of relief, and proceeded to savor Ulric’s delicious porridge.

Following breakfast, she gathered the necessary documents and accompanied Ulric to the city hall to register their marriage.
Photos, signatures, fingerprints-a process that took less than half an hour, and she officially became Mrs. Walters.
Even holding the marriage certificate in her hand felt surreal.
“I’ll have my assistant take you to the hospital to visit your mother first. In the evening, come directly to my house after work.” Now dressed in a suit, Ulric reverted to his cold CEO demeanor, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Rosalind nodded in agreement before departing with the assistant.
Shortly after their departure, another black Maybach slowly pulled up beside Ulric.
The rear window rolled down, revealing Johnny’s playful face. “Sometimes I really don’t understand you. You take such a significant risk to register your marriage with her, yet you don’t confess your feelings. What’s the point?”
Ulric gave him a cold glance, opened the car door, and got in, his voice icy.
“At the moment, she has no feelings for me.”
“So?” Johnny’s eyes widened. “You do realize that if your parents discover you got married without their consent, the consequences will be severe! Is she worth it?”
In Johnny’s perspective, if a woman wasn’t captivating, a one-night stand would suffice before bidding farewell.
If she was captivating, perhaps a few more nights. He genuinely couldn’t comprehend why Ulric was going to such great lengths for a mere assistant.
“If you don’t tell them, they won’t find out.”
“That’s just deceiving yourself!” Johnny rolled his eyes in exasperation. “Honestly, I’m curious to see how this story unfolds. If she never develops feelings for you, what will you do then?”
Ulric ignored him and simply lowered his head, opening his laptop to start working.
These matters couldn’t wait until the evening. Today was their legitimate wedding night, and he had no intention of indefinitely maintaining his celibacy.
