After asking a few more questions, the media and fans were satisfied. The purpose of the interview was accomplished as they got to know the difference between the two.
“It’s a pleasure to have you as our guest. If you don’t mind, may I call you the ‘new Ivy Hale’?”
Irene smiled in response.
“Okay, she doesn’t mind that. I believe we all got our answers today. This is not the Ivy Hale we were expecting to announce a comeback. Instead, it’s a new emerging talent that wants to challenge the industry.” The host paused, then spoke in a low tone. “She is quite daring.”
The audience burst into laughter. The host was pleased with the atmosphere of the studio, even if the fans were disappointed that she wasn’t their star. They were still glad her true identity was made known.
“Today’s episode has now come to an end. See you all next week.” After speaking, the host stood up, and they hugged before moving to the backstage.
The week’s ‘celebrity show’ episode was one of the best they’ve had in a long time. Due to Ivy Hale’s fame, the ratings skyrocketed. Although it was her lookalike, at first they thought it was the real Ivy, especially the fans. They were happy for her comeback. But now the ‘new Ivy’ told them the truth, they took the interview in a different light. That was because the ‘new Ivy’ succeeded in convincing some fans to her side.
“This woman is a real headache,” Susan was too displeased to stop complaining.
“To be honest, she is. But don’t let that bother you,” Ivy responded to calm her manager. But she refused to let it slide. This was her artist’s fans on the line… Who is an artist without fans?
“Look at what fans are saying, you’re losing half of them. It’s just remaining some loyal ones.”
“When is ‘Tomboy Donna’ holding a press conference?” She changed the topic.
“In one week’s time. I can’t wait till the press conference so it could shut down some arrogance,” Susan clicked her tongue in annoyance. Then she smiled when she realized something, “I haven’t seen Mr. Billionaire around.”
“He is very busy. He’s hardly home nowadays.”
Susan was tempted to ask about their love life, but she stopped herself from prying too much into their marriage.
After the broadcast, some fans started dropping comments on the ‘Wedding Catastrophe’ film production social media page. They believed she had bad intentions for staying silent when the cast for the movie was announced.
“I can’t believe Nelson Williams Production would stoop so low to create hype.”
“They should have made it known to us so we wouldn’t have misunderstood.”
“Why won’t acting be her dream when she knows she could easily step up with borrowed fame?”
“Why didn’t the so-called Ivy Hale refute earlier during the press conference when we thought she was the Ivy we know?”
“I’m sure her acting is horrible.”
“She can never be at the same level as Ivy when it comes to acting.”
“You haven’t seen her acting, you are already badmouthing her. The talented actress you adore refused to come back to the industry!”
“Overtaking is allowed.”
“I’m sure she will be better and take her place.”
They were in a fit of argument, and the production team, upon seeing the comments, especially the one that doubted her acting skills, immediately posted a video on their page. As the video was released, it immediately silenced the fans. They didn’t dare delve deeper, or they might be crushed by her supporters. It was the video of her screen test. Due to how well she displayed the character, they were confident it would not only prove she was a skilled actress but also capable of competing with their idol, even if she was playing the role of a supporting character.
Director Scott felt the video wasn’t enough evidence. So, he placed his comment.
“I personally chose her for the role despite the two of them auditioning for the same character.”
Immediately after he posted his comments, the commenters’ inquisition was aroused.
“What do you mean, please explain.”
“Is he trying to say the other Ivy auditioned for the same role?”
“Ivy Hale also attended the audition.”
When Director Scott saw their response, he decided to reveal the truth.
“Yes, they did audition for the same role, and for the sake of the film, I chose the best among them.”
He was indirectly hinting that the once-famous Ivy Hale was outdated. The supporting netizens lashed into Ivy with criticism, digging into her past scandals from three years ago.
“Her arrogance made her outdated.”
“I think she felt threatened by her lookalike, that’s why she showed herself at the press conference.”
“She thinks too highly of herself, and that’s why she broke up with her boyfriend to get in his uncle’s bed. Finally, she got what she wanted by marrying him.”
The particular comment stirred up the anti-fans as they found a new gossip. It seems the tag ‘Arrogant actress’ was still active.
In less than twenty minutes, the gossip became the main topic for the netizens.

Currently, Susan was at home, scrolling through the floods of comments that had been left on the television broadcast website after the interview with the fake Ivy. Gladly, she didn’t see any comments she had to worry about. When she visited the ‘Nelson Williams’ film production page, that’s where the main comments were flickering with criticism for her artist. Susan felt something fishy as the same individual that left the comment earlier kept engaging the other netizens with lies. Worse of all, the individual posted photos of Ivy in a hotel with strange men with blurry faces. The anti-fans who found pleasure in defaming her were convinced she was a slut. She decided to call Ivy.
When Ivy answered her phone, she thought she wanted to complain about the rumors, but Susan hurled a question instead.
“Do you know anyone with the account name ‘Miss kk’?”
Ivy was uncertain at first but quickly remembered. “I think I do.”
“She’s spreading damn rumors about you. We have to refute the rumors before the press release.”
“Don’t worry, it’s her method of payback.”
