Irene looked at herself in the mirror and smiled in satisfaction. She shifted her face to the side as she stroked her shoulder-length hair.
Kate, seeing this, could only frown. She still couldn’t understand the reason why she chose to change her appearance even in the slightest.
“Why do you have to cut it?”
She received a glare from Irene that made her shush.
“Why hasn’t Deb arrived? It’s past 8 am.” She didn’t get any replies from Kate and turned around to see her busy on her phone.
“KATE!”
Kate flinched in response, “What…”
“Where is Deb?”
“I’m here, sorry I’m late.” Debbie said as she carried her makeup box and placed it on the table. Irene shot her a stern warning, and Deb immediately understood she shouldn’t dare offend her again.
“You can start now, I have an interview.”

“Ivy, you should watch this,” Susan said, passing her laptop to Ivy.
On the screen, Irene was smiling at the audience.
“Hello, everybody, welcome to this week’s ‘Celebrity show’. I’m your host, Tamara, and here we have… um… um,” the host trailed off, looking at the audience and then back to the woman sitting on the sofa.
“Ivy Hale.”
“Yea, we know, it’s just that we are confused.” The host went straight to the main theme of the show. Smiling, she turned to the audience. “They are losing their patience.”
“My name is Ivy Hale,” Irene chuckled, facing the audience.
“Let’s get straight to the point, okay. Are you the Ivy Hale we know? It’s not like we doubt you, it’s just because you were the first to make an appearance, that’s why we chose you.”
“Tell us…” One of the fans yelled. “Yes, we want to know.”
“Are you Dimple?”
The producer of the show hit the nail on the head when he decided to interview the current celebrity on top of the entertainment news, especially now that there was an identity crisis and fans were curious about who their idol was.
“I never said I was the Ivy Hale who took a hiatus from the industry.”
The fans gave each other a surprised look.
“So Dimple hasn’t returned.”
“So she’s not coming back.”
“Then why did she appear at the press conference?”
But many still shook their heads in approval of what the ‘new Ivy Hale’ said. She really never claimed she was their idol who left three years ago.
Many watching the show online left comments approving of her answer, while others, especially the loyal fans, criticized her.
“It’s true, she didn’t say she was Ivy Hale of before.”
“She just admitted she isn’t Dimple.”
“She’s taking advantage of Ivy’s hiatus.”
“I thought Ivy came back but was just a lookalike.”
The host didn’t expect things to come clean so quickly. She actually thought she was the real Ivy and the other might be the imposter, but the situation turned around.
“Is that why you cut your hair? Are you perhaps feeling guilty?”
“Well, um, to be honest, I never thought it would cause an uproar to this degree. I just want to achieve my dreams, but it turns out I look just like someone who already made a name in the industry,” Irene responded, giving a sad smile.
“So you mean to say you used her name to create hype?” The host raised her eyebrow, and the fans erupted with a boo!!!!
“I can’t believe I’m watching an interview for a newbie who isn’t the real Ivy Hale!” The comments were still flooding in. Despite the fan saying that, the live broadcast views and rating didn’t dwindle in the slightest.
“Not at all, my real name is Ivy Hale. It isn’t a stage name I dubbed myself,” Irene refuted, pretending to be piqued by the host accusation.
“Even the last name?” The host wasn’t buying the existence of a rare coincidence as that. Two people with matching names with the same face, a replica for that matter appeared in the film industry, a place that was full of people ready to do anything for fame. Her bearing the same name of a star really elevated her fame.
“If the media wants, I can provide the evidence,” she stated, looking at the audience. They were conflicted as they watched her facial expression. The Ivy Hale in front of them seemed confident she wasn’t faking her identity.
“Evidence can be faked.” This comment came from none other than Susan. Irene’s words were annoying her to the core, ‘what kind of evidence can she even provide, a birth certificate?’ She could certainly use her sister’s birth certificate after all; they bore the same last name, she only removed her own name from the picture.
“Then you can’t answer some of the questions from the fans, since you are not ‘the Ivy’ we know. Let’s get to know you, the new ‘Ivy,’ a bit better. Why did you choose to pursue acting when you know it would be competitive, especially when our Ivy Hale decides to announce a comeback?”
Irene didn’t respond immediately; she sighed then smiled. “I have complete faith in myself and my talent. If I want something, I get it, no matter what.”
“Do you… want to take her place? I mean the way you spoke just now.”
They both laughed. ‘She has no idea.’
“No, every artist has their place in the industry. I’m trying to find myself in my unique place.”
“Woah, what a personality.” The host didn’t shy away from sharing her feelings, and that’s why the show was very popular. “What do you think about the Ivy married to the billionaire?”
Irene forced a smile. “She is… not bad.”
“Is that all you have to say? We are talking about a star celebrity you share a face with.”
“Well, I watched her past films. It’s a shame though; she left when she was about to break into another level in the film industry,” Irene said, flicking her fingers.
“So, you mean you don’t expect her to make a comeback?” The host asked, squinting her eyes slightly.
“She might, she might not. She will make her decision, and her fans will go with the flow.”
‘What is this woman hinting at? Is she trying to provoke the fans?’ Susan’s eyes were twitching at Irene’s tactics.
“God, I hope Ivy comes back and teaches that arrogant newbie a lesson.” One of the loyal fans was annoyed by her indirect words.
“Does she want to turn us against Ivy?”
“I think she is right. If Ivy doesn’t come back, even as much as we want her to, we simply can’t do anything about it. We will go with her flow.”
“Okay, here is another question, do you want to be like her?”
“No,” she answered immediately.
“That was a sudden reply.” The host couldn’t help but say. It was obvious she doesn’t like her twin from different mothers. Well, that was what they made them believe.
