Ivy didn’t tell Susan much about the identity of Miss KK. Though she wasn’t expecting Kate to be so brave to slander her online, but when she recalled the person who had deep hatred for her, she realized Kate was just an accomplice to Irene’s scheme, and on one side, it was also Kate’s way of exacting her revenge for making her go bankrupt at the clothing store.
For the next few days, anti-fans were still slandering her online with Miss KK, igniting the fire around the gossip. By this time, Ivy was at home studying the script in more detail and getting ready for the press release before filming began. Zack finally returned home from a business trip; he met Ivy facing the mirror revising a script. She didn’t notice his presence in the room as she was too immersed in the paper in her hand. Shaking his head, he walked to the bed, scuffing his feet on the ground and placed his suitcase on the bed, yet she still didn’t notice him. He crossed his arms and crouched beside her, clearing his throat.
“Whoa!” Ivy flinched, startled as she clutched her chest, looking at the man who almost scared her to death with his sneak attack. She couldn’t believe the cold man she knew would sneak up on her like that.
“You… is that how you inform someone you are back?” She frowned, slightly pouting.
Her expression forced Zack to release a snort. He really loved the silly look on her face. Her furrowed eyebrow, her pressed lips, and her eyes flickering lashes at him. His eyes traveled from her face to the dress she was wearing, then back up. When his eyes got to the point of her neck, his Adam’s apple throbbed as his thoughts traveled to the wild realm. Ivy, seeing his fixed gaze, tilted her head slightly, yet his eyes remained fixed on her. When she noticed his eyes were on her neck, she stroked it as she wondered why he was looking at her neck so intensively.
“Is something on my neck?”
“Hmm.” He snapped out of his gaze and averted his eyes away from her. Ivy turned to the mirror to have a look at her neck. “There’s nothing on my neck.” She turned back to face him, but she couldn’t find him again in the room.
“Where did he go?” Zack located the study room and sat down on the sofa as his mind flashed back to his earlier thought. ‘I think I might be going crazy,’ he concluded that must be the explanation for his behavior. Every time he got too close to her face, his mind subconsciously wandered to the direction he never wanted to go. And it seems he can’t control his actions, like his body involuntarily transfers ownership to the will of his mind.
He decided to return to the room only when Ivy falls asleep. He wouldn’t want the same thing to repeat itself twice in a day. He was definitely losing his mind and didn’t want it to be completely lost without boundary.
After Ivy helped him unpack his suitcase, she waited for him to return to the room as she wanted to discuss her filming with him. But he never came back, thinking he might be busy and not wanting to disturb him. She decided to shift the discussion till the next morning. Unknowing to her, her husband was avoiding her. He woke up early in the morning and left the villa before Ivy even opened her eyes, not to mention getting out of bed.
When she woke up, she was informed by Xavier that he left for the office.
“When did he leave?” She asked, surprised. She herself woke up very early, so how early did her hubby wake up.
“At 3 am this morning,” Xavier replied.
“That’s damn too early to leave for work.” She wondered if he even slept up to five hours at night. Then she realized maybe it was because he ran multiple businesses that he barely had enough time to rest.
Susan called to update her on the current issue with the netizens. Especially the anti-fans that hadn’t stopped slandering her and placing hate speech online. Though many fell for the lies told by Kate, there were still others who didn’t believe the rumors since photos can be faked or misunderstood. ‘Wedding Catastrophe’ officially started filming at the beginning of July.
