Nelson returned to the car, opened the door, and a strong smell of alcohol wafted out, which made him furrow his brow.
“… I can’t anymore, I can’t drink anymore… really can’t anymore.” Callie, completely drunk, kept waving her hands in the air.
Seeing this, Nelson couldn’t help but say, “If you can’t drink, then don’t. Why be so hard on yourself?”
Then, he put Callie’s arms away from the driver’s seat and got in the car.
Callie was restless the whole drive. She was either tossing and turning, or demanding to get out of the car. When they finally arrived home, Nelson breathed a sigh of relief.
Who would have thought that this woman, usually gentle as a lamb, would be this difficult when drunk.
After a moment of hesitation, Nelson helped Callie out of the car. Just as she was about to fall asleep, she suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck, her warm breath blowing straight onto his cheek.
“Hey handsome, you look familiar.”
Saying this, Callie giggled and suddenly dove into Nelson’s arms. He instinctively pushed her away, but Callie held onto Nelson’s clothes tightly.
“Don’t, don’t leave me…”
For some reason, these words made Nelson freeze for a second, and he couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for her.
And he was not really used to this kind of feeling.
“Callie, if you’re awake, walk on your own. Don’t pull me.”
But the sound of deep breathing was the only response he got.
Nelson had no choice but to carry Callie into the villa in his arms.
“Sir, you’re back… What’s wrong with Miss Marsh?” the servant hurried over and asked with concern.
Nelson replied, “She had a bit too much to drink. It’s okay, don’t worry about her.”
With that, he carried her upstairs and threw her onto the bed. Callie then turned a few times until she found a comfortable position to sleep in. She held a pillow in her arms and feel deep asleep.
Her sleeping posture was still as unconventional as last time.
Nelson watched all of this in surprise. Finally she’s taken care of. He covered her with a blanket before leaving the room.
During the night, Callie woke up thirsty. She slowly got out of the bed, and lurched downstairs to get some water. On her way back upstairs, however, she went the wrong way and walked towards the master bedroom.
Callie pushed open the door and lay down on the king-sized bed. She was quite loud and woke Nelson who usually slept very lightly.
Nelson suddenly sat up straight in bed, and when he made out the figure on the bed in the dim nightlight, he was furious.
“Callie, what are you doing!”
His loud voice shook her up.
She suddenly went from being confused to completely awake. And when she saw clearly who was in front of her, she started screaming.
“Ahhh…Nelson, what are you doing in my room? Get out! Get out now!”
Nelson turned on the light with a serious expression, and asked coldly, “Take a good look, whose room is this?”
Callie looked around, though still a bit dazed, and realized that she had made a mistake. She was very embarrassed and quickly said, “I’m really sorry, I’ll leave now.”
Discouraged, Callie slunk out of the room dispiritedly.
