Reincarnated To Avenge

Annabelle’s Point of View:
I was shocked by the turn of events, and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Firstly, Adriel was exhibiting some inhuman behavior, then the pervert who had been watching me appeared out of nowhere and revealed that he was my secret admirer and a werewolf.
As I was trying to comprehend what was happening, I found out that Adriel Lupa, the man from a mysterious family, was a vampire, and he was in need of blood urgently.
Okay, if I am going to be sincere, I was more shocked than surprised. In fact, I was speechless and I had to assure myself that it was all a dream.
‘What else could I have called what was happening if not a nightmare? The last time I had a nightmare was when I was four years old. I still remember how I dreamt of getting killed in my dreams.
Then, my parents were so scared, and they dropped me off at my maternal grandma’s house. The old woman would tell me that I was reborn to kill the people who hurt me in my past life.
I was just a little girl then, I didn’t even understand what she was saying. All I knew was I kept longing for a certain vampire, and my parents thought I was possessed and manipulated.
Before my grandma died, she kept begging a seven years old girl… that’s me… to tell her the name of the vampire I saw in my dreams, but I didn’t know his name, so I replied ‘he will find me at the right time’
My parents were worried and furious. According to them, my grandma was saying rubbish, and I wasn’t reincarnated for revenge.
My grandma was just like me, she didn’t believe that vampires should be killed, and she would advise me to find the mysterious man I was reincarnated for.
But when my paternal grandmother was killed, my father became aggressive, and he would take me and my three sisters to the woods, to watch as werewolves feed on humans.
He wanted us to hate supernatural creatures, because he thought that was how we’ll become great hunters.
My parents became strict with us, most especially on me, and when I told them that my late maternal grandmother appeared in my dream, to direct me to my destiny, my parents took me to a seer, and she claimed she saw death in my future.
Hence, my parents made her wipe the memories I had with my maternal grandmother. Thinking I would be better off not remembering the nightmares.
I knew I had a maternal grandmother, but I couldn’t remember anything about her, or what we both discussed. I forgot my nightmares, to me, it was an imagination.
But as Adriel sucked from my blood, all the memories came back.
I remembered the time I had a dream. In that dream, I was dead, and a man… no, a vampire was begging me to be reborn, he promised to wait for me, and kept begging for my forgiveness.
That man…. Although his face was blurry, he resembled someone familiar, some like….
“Adriel!” I cried out at the top of my voice as everything became clearer to me. It wasn’t a childhood dream as my mother had called it, I was reincarnated to avenge Adriel’s lover, I was….. no, I was reborn to mate with him….. he was my vampire mate, and I was his reincarnated shadow hunter mate.
As I tried to process all my thoughts, it sounded funny to my ears. I’d always thought I was a normal human celebrity in the day, and a one-sided shadow hunter in the night, but fate showed me that I was more than just a normal lady. I was a lady with a clear vision and purpose. I was a ticking bomb, waiting for the right time to explode.
All this discovery scattered my reasoning, and Adriel kept sucking my blood, not minding that I was becoming weak and pale.
“A Adriel… stop….. you will suck me dry if you don’t….” I cried out in pain as I tried to push him off me. But I was too weak, and he had gotten stronger because of my blood.
As his fang dug into my flesh, a hot sensation spread all over my body like a burning fire.
The familiar smell of my blood covered the room, making my stomach twist with unease. It transported me back to the night I died in my past life, and I felt the same pang of betrayal and regret.
My heart skipped a beat as I tried to muster the courage to control him. I wanted to tell him that I was the person he had been expecting for years, but I doubt he was still expecting me, because two centuries had passed since I promised to be reincarnated.
My palms grew sweaty, and I wiped them on my dress. Slowly, my vision began to turn blurry, as my eyes closed. A fiery heat spread through my veins, burning my calm nature.
I couldn’t believe I had just made the biggest discovery in my life, and I was on the verge of death, in the hands of my ancestor’s lover.
‘I can’t die like this, I have to wake him up! I must not die!’ I cried in my heart.
I squared my shoulders, steeling myself for what would happen next. My jaw was set in a firm line. I opened my mouth with boldness, and murmured what I heard Adriel calling me in my dreams.
“A- it’s Arella….”
Immediately those words dropped from my lips, Adriel froze, he turned to look at me, his eyes were pitch black, and his lips were covered in my blood.
His eyes kept scanning my face in shock, trying to find an explanation.
But fatigue and the fear of all I had witnessed and discovered hit me harder than I can ever imagine, and I fainted in his arms.
