ALPHA DERON
They didn’t let me in. Those crazy guards threatened to attack me if I made any attempt to force my way into the pack.
But I know what my nose picked last night after what happened to my poor child. That monster came this way, and I know it’s hiding in Wolf Crest.
“Whether you like or not, I’m going to find that demon and end it! ” I yelled at the guards, diving into my car and driving off.
The press where there when I began my roar on the guards, but… It was a good thing they showed up to record all that.
What I told them… Was half the truth. Estelle isn’t fully dead, but half dead.
Last night, when I stepped out to meet the buyer, who was ready to buy my mansion, I didn’t see the so called person, and his line wasn’t going through.
Everything felt so weird, as I patiently waited, only for my innocent daughter to call, screaming in the background.
Her horrifying scream didn’t just get my attention, but the roar I heard next. That sent a piercing fear within, causing me to abandon my business deal and race back home to meet my daughter in the pool of her blood, and that green-eyed wolf howling to the moon.
I saw it… The height of that demon. I tried to catch up with it, but it was just too quick. When I couldn’t get it, I went back for my girl.
I took my poor child to a hospital that almost turned us down because of the horrible state my daughter was in, and our reputation. But only one doctor gave me his attention and took Estelle in.
My daughter was on her last breathe when the doctor intervened, struggling to keep her alive.
He was even horrified to see her stomach wide opened, and her arm ripped off. It made him terrified to even try at first, but he still did it and managed to stop my daughter from dying.
Estelle may look alive, but my daughter is now a vegetable. She can’t talk or move her body. She can only cry with tears streaming down her eyes but make no words. And when I saw that, I felt like shedding tears for my child.
It was unbearable.
So, in order to keep her safe from that monster, I paid the doctor to take my child far away from the pack, and to a place no one, not even that Ivy, can find her.
“Now that she has been moved, I can easily hunt that monster down. And if I get my hands on that Ivy, I’ll give that beast the worst death ever.”
.
It was the evening, and the two men I hired were making plans to leave me all alone in my situation.
“You can’t quit! You want your money, don’t you?!” I roared at the guards, who failed to protect my child in the right way!
They had bandages on their body, to show how vicious that monster had attacked them. But for me, it felt like they were pretending.
“Sir, we really don’t want to go on with this. That… That wolf… I don’t know if that was a wolf or an abomination.”
“It didn’t look normal. That animal almost killed us.” They both complained, swaying their head in refusal. “We don’t want to work for you anymore,” They tabled on.
But I wasn’t going to allow them off that easily. “As long as I pay you two…” I drew closer, shimmering my wolf eyes at them. “You are under my rules, my order!” I roared, causing them to shiver before me.
“And if I say you will stay, then you must stay! I control you two! If you decide to leave now, I’m going to finish what that wolf started. Did you hear me you idiots? ! ” I sparked, grabbing both men by the collar, and tossing them to the ground.
“Now get on your feet and out of my sight!” I yelled, sending them out. They immediately left, leaving me alone to sulk in my frustration. “Damn those idiots!” I groaned, running my palms down my face.
RING! RING!! My phone began to buzz in my pocket, breaking me out of my stress. “Who’s calling?”
I reached for my pocket, pulled out my phone and saw an unknown number on the screen. I couldn’t tell who it was, but I could see it was from a… “Phone booth, ” I recognized the line. It was similar to the one Jerome had called me with then.
But… Who’s this caller?
Curious, yet careful, I answered the line and asked, “Hello?”
“Alpha Deron.”
“Doctor,” I recognized the voice of the man who has my daughter in his care. But why the phone booth? I told him to call when he arrives at the appointed location. Has he gotten there already?
“Sorry if I’m interrupting, Alpha. I just wanted to speak to you concerning the movement.”
“Have you gotten to the location?” I asked, wanting to know how everything was going, but the doctor wasn’t giving me the response I needed.
“Almost there, Alpha. But… Um…”
“What? ” I asked, noticing the confusion in his voice. He suddenly cleared his throat and said, “I… I lost the address,” He confessed.
“Lost? But I thought…” I paused, realizing something. I recalled sending him the address where he’d hide my daughter, and I also wrote it down on a paper. He even told me that he had a special area for keeping things he doesn’t want to lose, and that was his arm. He boldy wrote the address on his left arm like a tattoo, giving me an assurance. So… Why is he asking for it?
Something isn’t right?
“I don’t want to be stranded like this, Alpha. Do send the address again, and I won’t disturb again. So, tell me… where is it? ” He asked.
But instead of giving him the address like he asked for… ” It’s you, isn’t it? Ivy.”
The moment I said that, there was silence from the other end. And that’s when I heard the true voice behind the call.
A deep female voice chuckled out mischievously, confirming my suspicion! “How impressive, Alpha, ” She chuckled deeply, increasing my anger. “You turned out to be sharp. No need for me to ask how you were able to tell, but… I don’t give a damn.” She laughed with delight in her voice.
I was boiling in my spot, tightening my hand into a fist.
“It’s fine if you don’t tell me where she is, Deron. I’ll still search for that daughter of yours… After I finish attending to one more problem.”
“If you think I’m going to allow you to near my child, then you’re…”
BEEP! BEEP!! The wolf ended the call on me, leaving me furious. I roared out, almost smashing my phone to the ground. “DAMN YOU, IVY!!” My voice echoed around the mansion, as I panted out in frustration, thinking about my daughter.
“No, I’m not going to allow you to get to her. I’m going to end you before you get to Estelle! This is the promise of a bleeding father.”
