ESTELLE
This was beginning to cause an issue, leaving my Argon uncomfortable.
The pack members were raising questions at my Alpha, demanding to know why Brielle was dressed like that, and Argon was slowly getting mad over this.
Mostly, he was glaring at me for causing all these issues.
But I only wanted to ruin Brielle before all. I never wanted this.
“Shit! Goddess, give me a sign! What can I do?”
Suddenly…
“Oh no, you’re mistaken! It’s nothing like that, ” Brielle said, stepping forward to speak to the people.
“My Alpha didn’t make me wear this, I wore it, ” She lied with a smile across her face.
“What is she doing?” I groaned when I heard her.
This surprised me when I saw how Brielle stepped forward and made that lie, getting the people to stay shut.
“Actually…” She said, showing off her filthy dress. “My good friend here…” She turned back, pointing right at me.
I almost slapped that hand when she called me her good friend, but I maintained a happy face because of the people, faking friendship.
“She promised me that she was going to showcase her skills by transforming a lady in a filthy dress into a queen. So, I accepted her challenge and wore this to test out her skills, ” Brielle cooked, facing the crowds while twirling around for them to see her ugly attire.
“This is stupid. Who will buy such nonsense?” I groaned, watching her twirl while showing off the dress.
And to my greatest surprise, they all bought her lies.
They all smiled at Brielle’s child-like behavior, believing her nonsense tale.
“I don’t believe this, ” I mumbled, staring at her and at the people.
They ate her lies blindly.
“Oh, that’s sweet of her.”
“I did hear she has a good fashion sense.”
“And here I thought the Alpha was responsible.”
They all murmured, putting on an appealing face towards Argon and bowing at him in apology.
“Forgive us, Alpha,” They pleaded.
“It’s fine. Like my… Luna said… ” He dragged that word, settling his eyes on Brielle then at me. “Our good friend just wants to show off her skills. Isn’t that right, Estelle?” He dimmed his eyes, still showing his anger buried within.
Having no other choice, I nodded, facing the crowds. “Exactly. That’s why, ” I lied, feeling disgusted all around.
With that matter settled, Argon did the unthinkable before my very eyes. He pulled me away from his side and stood close to Brielle, taking her by the hands!
I was shocked!
“Come, my dear. Let’s go, ” He said to her.
She was stunned when he held her hand, but got into character, agreeing with Argon.
“Yes, dear, ” She responded, dropping a quick glance my way.
I was mad and jealous at the same time. This wretch is holding my Alpha’s hand like he belongs to her.
I know she’s enjoying this. She’s enjoying every moment!
Argon walked ahead of me with Brielle by his side. I followed from behind like a helper, trying to hold my anger back.
“That’s my spot. Argon is supposed to hold my hand and not hers!” I watched from behind, until we were finally in the boutique.
I had thought once we get in all these drama would end and I’ll get to do as I please, but it didn’t.
With what Brielle had said to the people, I was made to buy her new clothes!
How outrageous!!
Argon didn’t even say a word against this but reminded me of something I never promised. “You said you’ll try your skills on her. Now, show us your magic, ” He smiled at me, mockingly.
Bitterness filled my body, but I couldn’t express it out with all these people looking.
It’s because of Argon that’s why I’m going with this flow, otherwise I’d have placed Brielle in her right spot, and that’s at my feet.
With anger, I bought some clothes and began to try them on Brielle. She wore the dresses like they belonged to her, flaunting herself in it with style.
Her every move and expression sparked more hatred in my heart, just for her. She’s busy wearing my own dresses.
“What do you think? ” She dared to ask Argon, turning around in one of the black fitted dresses I selected for myself.
When I looked at Argon, he was staring hard at Brielle. And this made my heart beat with jealousy.
“It’s… Lovely,” He commented, directing his gaze my way.
Our eyes came locking for a short while, before Argon directed then back at Brielle, giving her more comments on the dress she wore.
“Can’t he see how hurt I am? His Luna’s place is being exploited by another woman. Why is he silent?” I stared at Argon, who completely ignored my gaze.
His eyes where on Brielle all through the shopping, until we were done.
Brielle was made to wear one of my fancy dresses, just to show herself to the pack members, who were around the boutique.
Their eyes fell on her, and they began to compliment her beauty.
“This is why she’s the Alpha’s Luna. She’s so beautiful.”
“That dress fits her perfectly.”
“She’s gorgeous.”
They all commented leaving Brielle blushing hard while approaching the car.
And me… I was filled with detest.
We got into the car and drove off, with Brielle now sitting in the front seat with Argon.
All through the drive, I was staring at her. The one who stole my spotlight, was sitting in front with Argon, wearing my dress! And Argon just stayed quiet.
He said nothing!
As soon as we arrived outside the mansion, I furiously got out of the car and pulled Brielle out from the front seat.
“Estelle!” Argon yelled my name, but I ignored him.
I dragged Brielle out and held the dress she wore.
“This is mine, but now it’s ruined because of you!” I roared at her, ripping a part off her body.
Brielle gasped at my actions, drawing back from my point with fear in her eyes.
“What did I do? ” She asked, forming innocent before me. That only increased my anger, recalling that this shit called innocent was the main cause of this problem.
She used it to ruin my shopping.
I held Brielle’s dress, as she struggled with me. It became a tug of war between us, attracting the servants who came rushing out to know what was happening.
“You ruined my shopping! You ruined my dress! ”
“Estelle!” Argon roared from behind, pulling me away from Brielle.
My feet staggered aside with no one to support me. I was quick to get my stance, only to turn around and see Argon protecting Brielle from me.
“What… What is this?” I uttered, lingering my gaze at them.
“Stop harassing Brielle over something you caused! I warned you, didn’t I?!” He yelled at me before his helpers, not minding how they stared at us.
Brielle hid at his back, sniveling and shedding tears.
“Argon, you’re taking her side? You’re supporting this maid over your Luna?”
“You can call it whatever you want, Estelle, but this maid and I, warned you about the consequences that will unfold if you didn’t allow her to stay back in the car, but what did you do? Tell me, what did you do?!” He roared at me.
My whole body came shivering at Argon’s attitude. He’s busy humiliating me before all his servants.
Me, the daughter of an Alpha. He’s embarrassing me before this lowlife and poor helpers?
Argon faced Brielle and told her to go in and change. She nodded with that innocent face she always put on, before heading towards the mansion.
Her favorite maid rushed to assist her, escorting her inside.
Once she left, Argon glanced at me one more time before storming into the mansion, leaving me behind.
Humiliated, that’s how I felt when I saw the servants watching while dismissing slowly.
How could Argon do this to me?
My eyes came welling with tears as I struggled to hold it back. I ran into the mansion with speed, filled with hurt and anger.
“I won’t be at peace until I’ve gotten an explanation from Argon. How could he hurt me like I’m nothing to him? ”
I spotted Argon at the top of the stairs, heading for his room. I quickly ran after him, grabbed his arm and stopped him on his track.
He turned around to face me, still in his angry mood.
“Estelle, can you let me be?”
“No Argon! I won’t, until you tell me why you’re being such a jackass! ”
“Excuse me? ” He glared at me.
“You are the one who said Brielle can be my hand maid and follow me around. Now I took her along to serve me, and you viewed it as a terrible idea? What do you want from me?! What exactly do you want?!” I yelled.
I vented my anger, giving Argon no chance to speak up.
“Do you know how hurt I feel with the way you always defend that woman over me? Argon, I’m your mate! She is just a mistake in your life, but still you take her side whenever she fakes innocence before you? ”
“Estelle, Brielle didn’t fake any innocence. She was clearly trying to protect my image before everyone. At least she had my interest in mind.”
I gasped at that statement he made.
“So, now Brielle has your best interest in mind more than the woman you want to marry? ”
“Estelle, I didn’t mean…”
“No!” I drew back from Argon, letting out the tears I’ve been holding in for too long.
“I see what is happening. You… You prefer Brielle over me. It’s okay. I know… I know what to do. I’ll just leave and return home, and act like we never knew each other and…”
“Estelle,” Argon called, taking me into his hold.
“Why are you being dramatic? I never said I prefer her to you. Estelle, stop this.”
I tried to push him off and leave, but Argon held me in his hold, calming my mood in his warm embrace.
“I’m sorry, okay? I really am,” He apologized, kissing my forehead.
This calmed my raging heart, making me bury myself in Argon’s hold. I sniffed right on his chest, and said, ” Don’t do that ever again. You are mine and not Brielle’s. If you keep acting that way, she’ll think you want her over me. Look at how the servants were staring at me with mockery. I even heard them laughing.”
“I’m sorry, please. I won’t repeat myself ever again, I promise you. ”
He held me tight, vowing to never repeat this attitude anymore.
But how can I trust him on that?
He’s always worried about his people’s reaction whenever we’re together.
This has to end.
.
The following day, being my rehearsal, I took Brielle along with me to the runway ground, so I could practice with other models.
Before leaving, Argon made sure Brielle wore a more presentable dress that won’t get people asking me questions about her appearance or relationship with me.
I was annoyed at first but hid it to please my sweetheart.
On arriving at the runway ground, the other models, who recognized Brielle, came closer to welcome her, calling her Luna.
“It’s so nice to have you here,” They all said, being so sweet around her.
This was disgusting and annoying. They are giving her a title that no longer belongs to her.
“Oh waw, so you’re friends with that lady?” Maya, a model who always strives to surpass my position, asked Brielle.
I didn’t even notice her presence until I heard her voice.
She joked about me being a wannabe and copy cat, getting on my nerves.
She is the wannabe!
“I’ll advice you, Luna, that you ditch this woman before it’s too late. You have a high status, so protect it, ” Maya advised Brielle, mocking me along with the others.
Watching how they flaunt themselves around Brielle like she’s the greatest, I lost my cool.
“You think she’s high and mighty?” I asked, loudly, crossing my arms at them.
“Well, sorry to pulp your bubbles, but that lady is my maid.”
“What?!”
“You liar!”
“She’s trying to feel superior like always.”
“There’s no way a Luna like her is your maid. Are you drunk? ”
To prove them wrong, I ordered Brielle, “Servant, come and kneel before me.”
