“How dare you?!” I roared out, drawing closer to my Argon, clinging close to him.
“You tried to humiliate him before thousands of people? You wretch! ” I flashed my eyes at the runt who was on the floor, staring at us.
Her cheek was as red as chilli, shivering on the floor while gazing back at Argon in fear.
“I knew something was off with her sudden sweet side. She was trying to deceive you, Argon,” I pointed out, facing Argon.
His eyes were still glowing red, showing his rage for Brielle.
“Now are you going to side with her every word like the way you’ve been doing? Can you now see the truth? She only did that to get back at you!”
“That’s not true, ” Brielle defended herself, standing against my words.
“I didn’t do anything. I don’t know who mixed chemicals with your suit. It wasn’t me, I swear to the goddess.”
“SHUT UP!” Argon roared, causing my heart to skip in fear.
His teeth had gotten a bit longer than it’s normal human size. His eyes glowed bright, as he pulled my arms from him, stepping towards Brielle.
“You were the one I gave this suit to. You were the only one who had an access to the suit! ” He groaned, grabbing her by the neck, lifting her off the ground.
My body quivered when I saw this.
Brielle choked in Argon’s grip, swinging her legs while trying to break free from his hold.
It’s the first time I’d see Argon use such strength on someone.
I’ve seen him in his wolf form before, but I’ve never seen him use his strength.
It’s terrifying!
“Alpha!” Jerome exclaimed out, drawing closer to stop Argon from killing Brielle.
His hand grew tighter around her neck, causing her face to change purple.
When I saw how she gasped for air with her color changing, my heart came pounding as my feet drew back.
“Alpha!” I heard the voice of that disrespectful maid yelling, as she also made her move, coming to stop Argon from dealing with Brielle.
When I saw this, I immediately moved with speed, grabbing the fool by the hair.
“AH! ” She screamed, falling to the ground, and turning over to face me.
With pride across my face, I said, ” Don’t even think about it, otherwise you’ll have to face my grip.”
I yanked her hair towards her face, scoffing at the helpless maid before my feet.
She stared at me in fear, taking her eyes back at Argon.
I did the same, and saw that Brielle was already on the floor, trying to catch her breathe.
“Damn it!” I groaned within, realizing that Jerome had stopped Argon from finishing Brielle.
“If you kill her, what will you tell the council members and the entire pack?!” Beta Jerome questioned Argon, pulling him back from Brielle.
My Argon’s face had sweat all around, as his red eyes came dimming back to his normal human form.
“Pull yourself together, Alpha! You should thank the goddess that you realized the issue before it escalated,” Jerome said, calming Argon’s anger.
But Argon wasn’t satisfied, neither was I.
“We thank the goddess for today, but who knows what she’ll do next!” He stamped, growling at Brielle.
She kept breathing heavily, holding her neck with fear in her eyes.
The look in her eyes… Oh, they were sweet to gaze at.
This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for, and I am so happy with the way it turned out.
That beautiful suit bought with my own hard earn money, wouldn’t have ended up in this state if my Argon hadn’t given this orphan his suit to clean.
That sparked my rage.
I pretended to be fine with it, but behind Argon’s back… I wasn’t.
I have been seeing the signs in this few days that passed. Argon… He has been staring at Brielle whenever she’s working!
I was stunned at first but didn’t want to jump into conclusions yet.
But as the days went by, I began to see it for myself.
I wasn’t mistaking it.
Whenever we’re together and Brielle passes by, his eyes would suddenly flash, falling on her!
One night, I went into the kitchen to have a drink, only to find Argon with Brielle, asking about her health!
She was blushing while he just stared at her like he has feelings for her, and it only planted fear within my heart.
Argon was too blind to see what Brielle was doing, but I’m not.
Knowing that she’s attending to his suit, I decided to use this opportunity to make his eyes leave her once and for all.
That’s why I sprinkled a very strong chemical on Argon’s suit without Brielle’s knowledge.
She was busy cleaning late last night when I snuck into her room and baptised that innocent suit with the Chemical.
And we got a melting result.
So satisfying.
“Forgive me Argon. I didn’t mean to get you embarrassed before many, but anything to get Brielle out of your mind, I was ready for it.” I stared at Brielle, who was still panting on the floor.
Just then, Argon yelled, ” Get this woman out of my sight! Lock her in the dark basement. That’s where she’ll stay till I say she’s free. Take her away!”
Two guards came rushing, grabbing Brielle off the floor.
“Alpha, please she…” That stupid maid spoke but suddenly paused.
I thought she stopped on seeing Argon’s eyes, but when I traced her gaze, I realized she was looking at Brielle!
She was signaling her not to intervene, and she obeyed.
“Wrech! Despite being under punishment, she’s still giving orders. She is still living in that fantasy of being the Luna. How sad.” I mocked within, glancing from Brielle to the helpless maid.
The moment I took another look back at Brielle, my whole body shivered.
She… She was looking at me!
The once fearful expression was replaced by a cold stare from Brielle. She gazed at me like some kind of demon, as she was pulled away by the guards.
“That stare. It’s just like that night in Argon’s bedroom. ”
I recalled that night, how she grabbed my wrist and glared at me.
Those eyes were scary.
Does she know that I’m… No, she doesn’t. The fool and her maid didn’t even see me when I was sprinkling the chemical on the suit.
She’s just squeezing her face for nothing.
“Damn that woman!” Argon vented out, kicking the box containing the ruined suit.
“Alpha, please. You know you’ll be having guests soon. Get yourself together,” Jerome comforted, patting Argon’s back.
“Yes dear. At least you have dealt with her. Just don’t allow her nonsense to get to you, ” I said, drawing nearer to my love, with my arms wrapping his neck in front of everyone.
“Forget about her and think of your success. Guests will be arriving soon to celebrate with you, ” I said, smiling at him.
Gradually, Argon came all better. He gave a sigh, pulling me closely into his hold.
“I’m glad you’re here, Estelle,” He said, kissing me.
My heart bloomed on hearing his confession.
He really loves me.
Parting his lips from mine, Argon suggested that we go and get ready for the guests, so we can welcome them together.
“We don’t want them to arrive and see we aren’t ready, ” He said, chuckling lightly.
I grinned back, taking his arm in mine, as we walked towards the staircase as a couple.
But I’m still petrified by the way Argon handled Brielle. What would he have done if he realize that I was responsible for melting his suit?
I still recall how he yelled at me for what I did the other time.
That was just a juice poured on my father. This one I almost rendered him naked before many.
Would he have punished me or forgiven me?
“I have to stay shut. He can’t find out about this. No one must know the truth, not even Argon,” I vowed within.
