Upon hearing Georgia’s complaint, Kayden said, “Don’t worry about it. You signed the contract, so nobody else will take over it. Let’s eat first, and then I’ll take you out for a bit.”
“Huh?” Georgia looked at Kayden, puzzled. “Where are we going?”
“Just to wander around and give you a break!” Kayden said calmly.
Georgia was still a bit annoyed, but seeing Kayden’s attitude, she simply nodded in agreement.
After finishing breakfast, they set off on a motorcycle, with Kayden riding and Georgia sitting behind him. For some reason, despite her complicated feelings earlier, Georgia felt much more relaxed now that they were out together.
At first, Georgia just held onto Kayden’s shirt, but gradually her hand moved to his waist.
It was their first time being so close and physically touching. Though it was through clothes, it made Kayden feel gratified. At least they had this close contact.
They rode through the streets, the gentle sunlight and the breeze from the motorcycle making the experience pleasant. Georgia had once envied couples strolling like this, and now she didn’t need to envy anyone anymore.
After a while, the motorcycle suddenly stopped. Georgia asked, “What’s wrong?”
Realizing they were quite far out, about twenty kilometers from the city, Kayden tried pressing the throttle and said, “Looks like we’re out of gas!”
Georgia, looking exasperated, replied, “I forgot to mention it wasn’t filled up last night! Didn’t you check the fuel gauge?”
Kayden looked clueless. “I don’t even know how to check if there’s fuel.”
“Alright!” Georgia was momentarily speechless, then got off, and went to the front of the motorcycle. “This is the fuel gauge. It’s empty now, so there’s no fuel left.”
Kayden genuinely didn’t understand. He’d been in the military from a young age and had only dealt with large vehicles. Motorcycles were completely foreign to him, and if he knew a bit more, they wouldn’t be in this situation.
“So what now?” Kayden asked.
Georgia shrugged. “I don’t know. Let’s find a place to get fuel!”
Kayden looked around and noticed a car dealership nearby. “Let’s head over there and see if they can help us.”
Georgia nodded, and they pushed the motorcycle to the nearby dealership. It was a car dealership for Hiphia, and all their 4S shops were located in this area.
They pushed the motorcycle to the nearest 4S store, a Mercedes-Benz dealership. As they arrived, a few salespeople saw them and watched in silence.
Kayden parked the motorcycle at the entrance, and a female salesperson approached them, asking, “Are you two here to buy cars?”
She glanced at their attire. Georgia looked presentable enough, like a regular office worker, while Kayden’s outfit was extremely basic. His clothes, pants, and shoes together probably cost less than two hundred dollars. By appearance alone, Kayden didn’t seem to match Georgia’s standard.
Georgia, realizing she couldn’t afford anything here, quickly said, “No, we’re just…”
“Yes, we’re here to buy cars. Please fill up our motorcycle with fuel!” Kayden said, grabbing Georgia’s hand and striding into the store.
Georgia hurriedly whispered, “Kayden, just get the fuel. Don’t buy a car here. This is a Mercedes store, and their cars are very expensive! The cheapest ones are at least two to three hundred thousand dollars!”
“It’s fine. We’re just looking! If we find something suitable and matching your status, we can consider buying it. You’re about to be in charge of the company, and riding a motorcycle all the time would be demeaning.”
Kayden looked calm and began wandering through the store.
“But…” Georgia hesitated, unsure of what to say.
Two female salespeople noticed this scene and whispered to each other, “Did you see that? Another one.”
“The woman with him is really pretty. I don’t understand what she sees in him.”
“That’s obvious. She must like his pretense. Nowadays, men will say anything to impress women! Even if they’re broke, they’ll act rich.”
At this moment, the saleswoman who had been refueling the motorcycle came back.
Seeing them looking at a Mercedes E-Class, she approached and said, “If you’re buying for family use, I recommend the Mercedes C-Class. It’s currently on sale with a down payment of just 100, 000 dollars and two years of interest-free payments. You can come this way to have a look.”
Georgia, nervous, said, “We’re just browsing!”
Kayden shook his head. “No, it’s too cheap. It doesn’t suit my wife’s status and looks! This E-Class is too short and doesn’t fit her status. Do you have something longer, more suitable for a CEO?”
Georgia couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat. What was Kayden doing? They had no money at all. Forget about a Mercedes C-Class-she couldn’t even afford a Santana.
The saleswoman’s expression became peculiar. She frowned and said, “We do have some, but they might be quite expensive. I think you should consider your actual situation…”
“Which is the most expensive? Show me,” Kayden cut her off directly.
The saleswoman scrutinized Kayden once more. She’d seen many like him, but she didn’t mind showing him around. Seeing the prices might just shock him into tears!
She led them to a Mercedes-Maybach 680, with the price prominently displayed: 2. 99 million dollars!
Upon seeing the price, Georgia was so shocked that she covered her mouth.
Kayden was unfazed by the price. Money was just a number to him. He was more interested in the product. After walking around the car, he reached out to open the door.
Before his hand could even touch the handle, the saleswoman hurriedly called out, “Hey, what are you doing?”
