Annabella’s Point of View:
“That’s when I realized he was the one for me. He looked into my soul, and I felt our mating bond!” Megan explained for the umpteenth time with a dramatic expression. Her hands were raised as she tried to picture the moment she met her so-called soulmate.
“Ahhh!” Mira sighed softly and rolled her eyebrows. She looked frustrated, I guessed it was because of Megan’s love story.
We all came down from our ride, tired and spent, and while I paid the driver, Megan and Mira headed for my apartment.
I couldn’t help but giggle as I heard Mira complain to Megan that her ears were wounded.
“Come on big sister! Enough with your love story, you bumped into a wealthy man, as if that’s not enough, you are claiming he is your soulmate. What the heck is wrong with you?” Mira yelled angrily, as she used my new pass card to open the main door.
She didn’t wait for Megan’s response, before she ran into the house and collapsed on a couch.
Megan looked downcasted at Mira’s accusations, and she looked at me for my approval. I took a deep breath, and waved my hands at her, with a ‘please don’t start’ look on my face, but Megan decided to ignore me.
“I am sure he loves me, didn’t you see the sparkle in his eyes as he looked at me, he even flashed me a smile and spoke with a lovely voice.” Megan replied with pouty lips, and sat down beside Mira’s couch, this sitting arrangement made the tired Mira more angry, and she turned to look at Megan cautiously.
“You are sitting next to me because you want to keep telling me about your imaginary soulmate, right?” Mira asked with arched brows, and Megan nodded her head slowly.
“Yes and no. Yes because I want to keep telling you about my soulmate, and no because he is not imaginary, he exists. Also, there’s no one else for me to talk to,” Megan explained, her cheeks burning red as she remembered something. But Mira didn’t look convinced.
“No, that’s a lie. You can tell your teddy bears about him. Just like you said, they will listen to you, and who knows, they might advise you on what healing drug to take.” Mira replied with a creepy smile, her tone filled with sarcasm.
“You are right, I can tell my teddy bear, but I choose to tell you. Also, I am not sick, so address me respectfully, or else, I will hit you on the head!” Megan threatened playfully and bowed her head.
“Please, don’t send me away, instead advise me on what to do, Mira.” She continued with a genuine smile on her face. She gently held Mira’s hands, and Mira looked like she wanted to protest.
I sat down on the handle of an empty chair, looking at them happily.
“I am your younger sister, I should be the one looking for love advice from you, not the other way around,” Mira said with a frustrated expression on her face, she carefully held Megan’s hand and sighed.
“Dearest sister, I know you are very emotional, but trust me your emotions are top notch today! The guy you bumped into looks like a prince, and the expression on his face shows he is not a man to be messed with.
You might think of him as your destiny, but I can assure you that he thinks of you as a lady who ruined his shirt. He might not even be thinking of you!” She continued and took a deep breath.
A look of pity was on her face as she looked at Megan. I guess Mira’s words hurt Megan because she pulled her hands away.
“You are just jealous of me. This is plain jealousy! I am sure he is thinking of me right now. Besides, why can’t I date a prince? It’s not like I am poor or something.” Megan replied, scrutinizing her outfit, and she stood up at once.
I sighed and covered my face with my palm, not knowing what to do about their argument.
“Why will I be jealous of you, sister?” Mira questioned with furrowed brows. “I mean with all due respect, I am not jealous of anyone. Also, I didn’t say you can not marry a prince. I meant you will never feel accepted in the prince’s family. I have read a lot of novels and watched different movies, so I know how the story always ends.”
“Look at your mouth, Mira. I am afraid to say this, but trust me, if you are not careful, you will end up like Millen.” Megan replied looking furious. The two ladies looked at each other angrily, but it was then it drew on me that my third sister was missing.
“Umm guys, where is Millen?” I asked anxiously, scolding myself for forgetting about her. I quickly brought out my phone from my bag and tried calling her number, but she didn’t pick up.
Megan and Mira forgot they were quarreling, and their attention was fixed on the missing adult. We all stood up at once, wondering what we should do next.
“Oh no! We left her at the party, maybe she is looking for us!” Mira exclaimed, and our eyes widened at once.
“I will go back to the club at once, and try to search for her,” Millen volunteered with determination in her eyes, and she picked up her hand bag, headed for the door. Unfortunately, Mira decided to stop her.
“I think that’s a bad idea, because if sister Megan sees that strange prince, she will surely forget about our missing sister!” Mira informed me, and I must confess, I was disappointed to hear something like that coming out of her mouth.
“You are so disrespectful, Mira! Megan will never do something like that,” I scolded Mira with a grimace on my face.
“She is keeping malice, sister. I will never forget our sister’s code, queens before peens.” Megan replied with a broad smile on her face, while Mira rolled her eyeballs.
