Love?
At first when she heard the word it left something deep in her soul and she didn’t know what she could do at that moment to let the situation out of her mind, she was still feeling unmotivated by what he had said, her mind felt blank at that moment as she was unaware of what more to say about the situation –
Still it left her feeling confused about the entire situation.
If there was anything she knew beyond doubts at that moment it was the fact that whatever she felt, this love she speaks off was far from what’she could give, Adrenaline filled her mind and raced through the track of her soul soul leaving her confused.
“We both know this is not possible.”She spoke with certainty.
She hoped to herself that the situation would convince him that she was telling the truth, when she had talked about wanting it to be over she had spoken the truth.
“What we shared was something deeper, why are you turning your back against everything now?”
She didn’t feel sorry for him like she should have, not after everything had presumably been done.
“Is this another attempt?”She questioned him.”Are you looking to defraud me again?”She asked.
Immediately she did, he could feel his heart ricochet.
At that moment, silence filled the room and she could feel it as it stretched between them and she realized that he was leaning closer to her.
“You have to believe me, I am still very much involved with you.”She muttered.
She didn’t know how else to make understand the entire situation, but in a way she could feel her soul unsettling.
“I want us to be perfect.”
Perfect?
She stalled at the statement, in a way she wondered if this was the answer to all that was running through her mind, was there perfection to a storyline that seemed over?
For her everything was over, and she didn’t intend getting back to him … Not now, not ever.
The entire situation seemed to create a state of oblivion at the back of her mind. Still there is nothing for them to do at that moment, Still she was trying all she could to take a deep breath in.
“I want us to fix this, I know that we can work this out.”
He got closer to her and her eyes fluttered , she saw that he had the intention of kissing her evidently. Her conscience pricked as it made her heart beat faster, and she knew she should step away. As it seemed most definitely like the best thing to do at the moment –
As it was, she wasn’t the love of his life, that love she felt for him was dead and gone and it made her unsettled.
Before she could another phone buzzed and she mind snapped back to reality, as it was he pulled away, pulling himself away from the entire situation –
They both turned to see Damien standing nearby, his eyes narrowing into a glare as he
took in the two of them at that moment, she had totally forgotten that he had tagged along all this while.
“Laura , I’m glad I found a way to reach you…Riley just Called , she claimed to have been trying to reach but you were not picking.”
“Oh”she stated before looking at her bag then the phone.
Her mind had been so occupied while she was finishing off the talk with him that she had forgotten that she still had unfinished business.
If there was anyone that didn’t like being disturbed about the entire situation, it was most certainly the man that was sitting there at the moment.
There was an angry edge to his voice which made her skin prickle with anxiety, and it made him look straight at her with disgust.
“I… I was talking to her”He stammered, still a bit furious. His expression frightened her and she stepped back away from the chair.
“Are you going to leave me , have you forgotten what I just said.”He questioned quickly.
Still she didn’t know how to give a reply to what was being Said, she was left confused about how to handle the entire situation of things at that moment –
Still at that moment, she thought it was best she did leave him standing right there –
She stalled at that moment, not knowing what to do about the entire situation…
She turned to stare at him in outrage.
“Yes.”She pointed out .”I am not leaving anything out, I feel it is best I leave.”
As she spoke Anger bubbled up inside of him and he kept his eyes fixed on the retreating figure, while addressing the waiter
She walked briskly as she couldn’t wait to leave.
“Told you it was a bad idea.”Damien stated.
She couldn’t help the feeling of unrest she had at that moment even as she walked out of the restaurant, it was almost as though he was watching her.
“You didn’t need to chase him off like that.”she muttered as she approached Damien’s car.
“I didn’t chase him off. I merely let him know that you had other things to do , respectively.”
“He was just-”
“I know what he was just doing,”he interrupted .
“We have other things to do and I can’t let him ruin it . We need to act very fast.”
“That man needs to remember you are off-limits before he makes a grave mistake.”he added.
She didn’t know what to make out of the entire situation, but if there was something she was most certainly about it was the fact that she had to find a way around all this feeling of animosity that was around.
She had to do everything within her possible best to keep herself in a way that it wouldn’t cause any trouble for whatever she had planned and the most thoughtful way for her to do that was to make certain that she could put up with all of this , the entire matter made it more difficult for her to think about she concentrated instead on what seemed paramount.
She huffed indignantly.”I know you-”
“Ma’am we have other important things to do- forget him, and let’s get over this conversation “His tone was firm, implacable.
Feeling her face burn at words , she decided that it was only right her to attend to the situation of things at that moment, she didn’t know how it would sit well with her , she tried to defend her actions but it had left her feeling more silly.

“Let’s get going then, hopefully we get to the airport early .”The words rumbled from her throat and instinctively acknowledging her Words he starts driving.
“Hope you are not angered by now I spoke ma’am .”He shot her a brief glance, and then focused his attention on the road , with anxiety on his face.
“No I am not, you speak the truth we should get going.”
Laura gave him an almost imperceptible nod.
“I’m glad to have someone that will tend to my every care and need when he is away.”she smiles.”I hope Riley sees it.”
