“Alright thanks for that bit of information.”She dropped the phone and looked a bit dejected.
She had wished that all of this would come out a bit different but it doesn’t.
Laura had been over the phone for the past moment trying all she could to get access to what all this had been about, at the moment she was still trying to get all the situation settled to the back of her mind, it seemed more difficult that there was no way for her to have answers as they gave away little to nothing , still she felt there was need for her to get herself together.
Something’s beyond control and this happened to be one of it, all these thoughts filled out her mind and in a way it made things complicated.
Riley all throughout the whole had her gaze on her, she wanted to know how the call had gone but so far she had been given little to nothing about the situation leaving her feeling more confused.
“So … what are you able to find out? “She asks finally when it looked as though the woman with her might give away nothing.
“They asked to get back to me”
“There is still a bit of hope then.”She was calm as he spoke, it left a tenacious feeling in her soul as she thought it was best they stayed out of the situation.
“I feel I need to do more digging.”She spoke with conviction.
Riley listened to her and could tell that she was confused, she didn’t know why but the feeling left something deeper in her soul she needed to unleash.
At that moment, time seems to be a factor, a more significant one at that .
Her heart beat silently, she could hear the silence that envelopes the room and took a deep breath just so she would find her bit of sanity.
There wasn’t much she could do, just Riley had said.
Surrounded by the quiet stillness of the room after Riley stepped out to get a call, she sat at the bottom of the bed slowly drifting away in deep thoughts, in the distance of her mind she was listening to the sound of her own labored breathing.
Every square inch of her body wanted that closure, She wanted to reflect on everything that seemed to be happening and find a way out of it, still she couldn’t think of the right thing to do as she seemed very confused about the entire situation.
It felt like a herculean task by working herself into a sitting position from where she had been laying for the past twenty minutes, much as it was the last thing that was at the back of her mind, the entire situation was dragging through her mind, she thought it was best she took a walk outside just so she would clear her head.
Glancing at her watch, she saw that it was past six, by now she should be at work trying to work her ass out but at the moment, her mind couldn’t take anything else rather than wait and hope that indeed things fell on the right path for her.
As she walked away, she had no real idea of why it seemed rather absurd today, it felt almost as though it would rain –
From its position, she assumed it was because it is almost evening but with that thought were a couple of other things as well, things that had a lot to do with her man supposedly.
It took walking about twenty minutes to realize that she was yet to get that call again from them, she had no idea how she was going to get out of this situation and ponder on the situation and how she was going to get her phone.
Her cell phone was at home and her attempt to reach or check or seek the situation out with her mind was near impossible, had only resulted in a mere spark in her heart that may or may not have something to do with the situation.
. Regardless of what it was , all the feeling coupled with the weather had drifted through her heart , in turn it had quickly fizzled out leaving her feeling empty and alone once again.
Looking down towards the path that led to the house, she saw that a small amount of darkness had accumulated around her and she realized that she was shivering.
She wasn’t filled with fear or anxiety that minute as it wasn’t her first time travailing in that path, instead she felt a bit of comfort.
Much as it was getting darker Laura hesitated to go home, it was as though she was broken, and she wasn’t sure how finding out the news from them would affect her.
Could finding out the truth cause further damage to herself or would it help it to heal faster? And then again, did she even want it to heal faster if.
She thought through the entire situation, Could she end up with a permanently broken heart.
She decided to hold off on the fact that all of this was happening quickly, as long as possible, but if necessary, she’d risk missing the calls.

Staring up at the sky, she watched as it began to drizzle, drops of rain began to fall. They landed on her face and caught in her lashes.
Amused at the sudden switch in weather letting her mind drift away with the wind,
from the pain that shot through her with every breath. If she was back at home she would most definitely be asleep cuddling her pillow.
She finds shelter at the base of a small tree. Now, as she leaned against the trunk, she fought against the fact that her mind was about to drown into a state for oblivion.
All she felt at that moment was the blackness that threatened to overtake her. The more she sat there, there more she was drowning in her soul-
.
She planned to put as much distance between herself as all that was happening and her mental health, like Riley was saying she was getting herself far too involved in this.
Laura was suddenly filled with the urge to vomit and did so while coughing then crying again.
She wasn’t aware of how long but soon, she must have drifted off, as she woke up with a startle.
All through that while there was still one question that looked to be at the back of her mind.
Where was Christian?
