Riley tries calling her several times but it was all proving abortive, thinking about it all that was definitely how she was doing especially after how she had walked out of the room at that moment she was filled with nothing but confusion, when finally got a response late in the afternoon.
Apparently, she had dragged the whole issue and had thought that it was best that we thought the matter through again. She didn’t know what all of this was about, but still it was starting to seem more like she had to do something that felt most cynical at that moment.
When Laura had picked the call it was just the brief moment Antonia’s mother had walked away.
“Yeah, my cell phone was set on vibrate, so I hadn’t noticed it right away”she spoke In a hush tone.
“What do you mean?”She asked.
Riley was confused as she couldn’t get it off her mind, she didn’t know why but it was seemingly more like the Laura was taken the entire issue so far soon Much that she didn’t know what to do about it at the moment, if there was another choice for her at that moment she would have gone for it.
As succinctly as possible, she explained the situation and she said he’d head right over to get a place soon after She was done, and it looked like, It could be the best for her to deal with at the moment.
Twisting her fingers, she listened to the sounds of the argument between woman that was seated outside the house, the apartment seemed very quiet – There’d been no more screams, nor yelling …Just voices, but she couldn’t make out what was being said except once she was sure she’d heard her daughter name.
As her stomach had clenched in anxiety, she continued with whatever she was up to. What if he was trying to lure her to speak so she could come up with something.
As the thought sank deep into her mind, it left a bit of animosity behind, It all happened that
After tense moments, a door slammed and then all was silent.
There was a scuttling sound and then she heard her speak again, she groaned at the fact that her daughter wasn’t picking and walked out.
She hadn’t realized how tense she’d been holding herself until now, until the moment that the woman walked out again.
At that moment, her arms and legs felt rubbery
and she was light-headed. Thank heavens she was still trying to breathe all through the situation, she thought she could take care of herself-she’d defeated this part of her before, so what more?
The very idea of that happening caused an ache in the center of her chest, as she tried to breathe through the situation, Forcing her mind away from that possibility, she switched her thoughts to other things as the woman spoke.
“Sorry I can’t help you.”
All that while if there was anything Laura asked for it was empathy from the woman, she needed it badly and thought it was best she let it known to her that she could as well fix this, if there was anything she wanted at that moment it was to settle the matter at hand amicably and head out again as there was no time left to waste, at first she gave nothing away.
“I don’t really know what you want, all I want to say is that I am giving nothing away so you can take your sorry ass out of here sorry.
She had hoped she would get something from the situation but seeing that she had nothing, she walked away from the room…
Still trying to decipher all her thoughts at the moment, as the thoughts of the entire situation filled her mind, all she thought was best ways to leave as it was obvious to her, she wasn’t going to say anything.
“It is fine, I’ll take my leave.”
“Well that is fine, get out.”
Laura stood up to leave, her gaze caught a postcard on the table, the next moment she was cluttering against it and sending the content to the floor.
“what do you want, look at what you did.”
“I am so sorry.”Laura apologizes walking out.

The next few days passed in a blur of an eye. Laura was getting used to the fact that all this situation was more tense than she had thought it would be, at the moment she was still trying what she could to fix the entire situation…
Soon she had picked up her car and started out for work, as it was she had been trying to balance everything, and had been nervous all week.
She left early each morning and came home late at night, busy heading up the search for Christian, the post card was still under review even as she returned looking exhausted and even more frustrated, quickly eating dinner before burying herself in whatever she had, nothing seemed different.
She got into work soon enough and it didn’t take long for Riley to come into the room, this time she is caught while trying to decipher the situation and think of ways.
“Is he back yet?”She peeped from the door and asked.
She was Still trying to get her mind through everything and seemed startled. Riley rubbed his chin thoughtfully as if considering the situation.
Sje observed her carefully, widening her eyes as a feeling-just the inkling of an idea- that had begun to form in her head. She focused herself as best as she could, pushing through her own feelings at that moment.
“Have the man called the company for the post card?”
As she asked it reminded Laura she was yet to get their calls, it left her in a panic to find what they were going to communicate to her. It was a jumble and she strained to make sense of it, finally grasping that she could as well go meet with them, she gasped.
“Oh my gosh! I can just get over there too, it would be faster.”Her heart leapt inside her chest.
Riley narrowed her eyes and they began to give that hint of doubt in the eerily silence. Her body was starting to become tense as she thought all of this was going too far
“What if he is aware and doesn’t want you.”
She could sense how hard it was trying to maintain control of her thought but she did sense that she hadn’t thought of that.
.
“You really should think about that.”her voice was so subtle and it left cold shimmering through Laura spine’s
Thinking about it again, she felt confused … just then her phone rang up.
“The Post cards company.”
