It was all down to everthing that would be best for what he wanted most at that moment and that was to find peace, and so when he had seen Tonia walking in that morning he had ignoref her there was no questions about hie she had spent the night nothing like that, all he did was act like last night hadn’t happened.
It was contrary from what he though initially as he kept his gaze on the road to make it so difficult he had found Laura panties in his car right there at the glove compartment.
At first he yead tried remembering what car Antonia took out, and tried relating it to her attitude.
Though she had acted like nothing was going on at that moment it was easy for him to see through her and come to the conclusion that’ she was hiding something.
He rubbed his jaw still In shock, he Marveled about how stupid he was and tried all he could to bury the evidence.
He walked away from the ocean side where he had just thrown everything including the very tickets to the restaurants.
Christian uncertain about the true sense of what he could do, thought the matters through one more time.
A Sense of fear creeped through his heart and in the wake of all the madness he had picked out his phone and rang the only person he could tell about all of this, who else than Damien.
Damien who was still trying to settle the Storm in his own heart arrived at the secluded part of the pub, he didn’t know what was required of him but felt that need to get rid of his madness as well.
He settles down close to his friend with a grimm look on his face as well-
Drunk, he cocked his gaze and took in the the man face, he felt a bit concerned about why Damien looked so broken.
“Are you fine?”
It was the one question he had waited forever to hear but apparently no one cared enough to, he locked gaze with his boss and friend.
Was this right time to speak?
Damien though going crazy didn’t want to get too involved in all of these, he was more confused than the man that was seated away from him.
“I am fine, I am just thinking about a lot of things…”
He looked away, his attention drawn again and tinted by the sound of levity that was feeling up his heart, just as he was about to take another sip from the liquor he was stopped again by the man at the door.
“I didn’t call you here to drink, I want us to talk.”
*******
Elsewhere…
It was the moment, that they were at it again all cuddled up to themselves as they laid right there next to each other, he was what she had always thought.
A perfect man, slowly the thought of Damien only reflected in her mind once in a while like it was at the moment.
Rhys put his arm around her shoulders, his thumb gently rubbing over her upper arm. While he spoke with the most subtle voice he could tell that she was worried and that moodiness came each time they were together.
As he spoke, his voice held both wnat and self-assurance.”I can’t believe we are together, I am thinking about making it official.”
She acted without even thinking as the words caught her unaware, he wouldn’t want that to happen not at this moment she thought to herself.
She had thought she was supposed to be in control, she had wanted to keep all of it in check but as it was, she was enacting on he reflex.
“No I don’t think it is right.”
He was shocked.”I am surprised, we’ve been seeing each other for a while, why are you… ”
She clutches the duvet and sat up .”I’m sorry I just got frightened up.”she muttered
.”I wasn’t frightened, at least not exactly. .. let just say i was Surprised, worried, wondering what the hell was going on. But frightened of Nope.”
He loooked at her still filled with that uncertainity-
“I’d never hurt you.”
“I know.”
“Then why are you acting like I just might.”
He reaches to touch her and she let him, he tightened his arm around her and she turned in towards him, leaning her head against his
chest.
She didn’t want him to talk about it anymore, she just wanted him to stay like he was quiet.
They sat there in silence, absorbing the warmth and essence of the other and it was easy for her to succumb to the moment yet again, she took it in savouring the moment.
This was what she wanted. Time when they were just together and just them nothing more, no intrudes-
Just them as a normal couple. She had always wanted an actual relationship, where they talked and shared their ideas and feelings…With what he had said it was obvious that he wanted that, too. But at what expense, she still felt guilt.
To her relief he didn’t say anything again, he seemed to have loosened his tight self-control and kept all that he wanted to himself and himself alone.
While she was reluctant to ruin the companionable silence that was between them, it occurred to her that he might be having doubts in him.
She had to clear it off, it was obvious that she as still thinking that she was up to something so he had to make sure everything about it was gone- she didn’t want to let this opportunity go by.
Gathering her courage, she wet her
lips, then spoke softly.”i love you, You know that right.”
She was expecting an answer but he sighed.”I don’t know.”
He was about to say something -Simultaneously, he began to speak as well.
“You know-”
They both stopped and sighed.
She became suddenly shy, overwhelmed by self-consciousness.
Rhys noticed and laid a finger on her lips.”Let me.”
She nodded.
“I know about Damien.”He spoke softly but with conviction.
