Evelyn’s Pov
I was frightened and remained still in the room, he changed into a tee shirt and announced that we were leaving soon. I didn’t know how to react to going anywhere with him so I merely looked at him as he spoke.
I remained where I was in the corner of the room as I watched him sleep. He seemed normal, no scary teeth, no yellow eyes, it was still his gray slits, which I saw whenever he turned to look at me, his eyes begging me to sleep.
“Come to sleep Red,” he muttered and I said nothing. “I won’t eat you, really.”
“That’s not funny. Why has the motel security not come to seek you out? Did you bribe him?” I asked and he sat up, pulled a shirt close to him.
“Since you are hellbent on ruining my idea of a jump scare for you let me explain. This is my pack house, this territory is my packhouse.” He said simply and I felt Dejavu hearing the term.
It still didn’t do anything to my concerns and worries, what was a pack house and why do I keep having this odd sense like I’ve heard it somewhere. A movie I watched? A story?
“That doesn’t explain anything. What the hell is a pack house and how does it tell me anything?” I asked him and he didn’t respond as he slipped on his boot. He ran his hands through his hair and I remembered the image of that monster I had seen last night, that big dangerous completely inhuman creature.
“I won’t leave with you if you do not plan to explain it all for me.” I threatened and he was unmoved, he knew I didn’t have a next direction and I had a baby with me. “What are you?” I insisted and he looked distressed.
“You should know, because you carry one of us in you right now,” he announced and it felt like my consciousness was shattering all around me.
“What is that supposed to mean?” I asked him ready to pluck out his eyes of he was so much as teasing me.
“I am a werewolf. I know you’ve heard of us in movies and shows, myths and all that,” Freddy answered and claws crept out of his fingers before he returned to its normal form.
“Oh my God, I’m hallucinating, this has to do with the child. What is with this wave of Deja vu! Am I going mad?” I asked no on in particular as my thoughts spiraled out of control.
It was an odd train of thoughts as conversations I couldn’t grasp flashed in my head.
“Are you alright?” Freddy asked and came to my side, he helped me sit down and his hands were around me, steadying me and keeping me from running away from myself.
“I am. Just talk to me, what do you mean ‘I’m carrying one of you right now?’ Tell me Freddy,” I pleaded not wanting to believe what I thought he was insinuating.
“You’re pregnant Red, your child is a werewolf. She is one of a strong breed and I can feel it,” he dropped the bombshell and I could not think nor understand what it meant.
“So if my child is a wolf that means he is a wolf, I know about them. Oh my goodness I don’t know what to think! I’m confused. I don’t know how to act. How many are you? Where do you stay? How come I didn’t know this before now?” I had millions of questions to ask.
“This is my pack, the Blue moon pack and I’m the alpha. An alpha is like a governor or leader of other wolves. Those guys I fought yesterday were rogues and they terrorized my territory. I was going to take you back to my pack house today. Are you still interested in going?” He asked me and I looked at him with amusement, I needed detailed answers.
I needed to kill Jason for planting a wolf seed in me and leaving me alone to face the reality of having a werewolf part human child.
“I don’t know what to do,” I finally told him, my tears were threatening to drop and I was confused, lost and frightened.
“I know. I guess that’s what fate drew you to me, guess fate does know best.” He teased and I wondered how much different he was from that beast of last night. Would my child also be cursed?
“I would tell you all about him at least, all he told me but now, just take control of my thoughts. I’m lost.” I admitted and he seemed to be fine with it.
I was going to love my child no matter what beast it came as, either werewolf, Vampire or even fairy. I began to wonder if those other woodland creatures existed.
“You don’t have to tell me about the other man who dared to let you go, I would go after him in that case and kill him.” Freddy said with seriousness and I laughed, I changed back into the shirt and cargo shorts I had worn yesterday.
“Do you want me to give you a piggyback ride? Walking to the pack may be hard for you,” he offered and I stared at him in horror.
“What?” I asked, laughing.
“I mean it, I would have just ran to the pack but you’re human, you can’t do that so I’d just carry you out there, the rogues destroyed my vehicle.” He explained and I sighed.
“Okay, but hope it doesn’t get too much for you.” I said as I hopped on his back, he held my legs to the front and oddly enough I was grateful for the gestures.
He moved quickly and before I knew it we had gone for fifteen minutes and he announced that we were closer. I was left to my thoughts, I wondered why
“What’s his name?” Freddy asked out of the blue and I was amused.
“Who? I thought you didn’t want to know?” I teased and he was quiet.
“If you still care about him, leave his identity. Do not tell me about him no matter how much I ask. Do you understand that?” His voice was dark and more than I have ever heard.
“Okay,”
