Kaiden POV.
Daddy’s parents haven’t come over, daddy said that was better but I guess he’s mad at them for missing the chance, we didn’t have anyone to meet this morning, my parents would be coming soon, they haven’t seen me shift yet, I told mom what my dragon power is but she hasn’t seen it. Daddy been teaching me a trick of freezing a water cup, a trick I can show mom, I could make any kind of juice into ice lollies, Adrian wasn’t happy about that one saying I’ll get a sore throat from them. But my dragon loved the ice, we loved the coldness, it didn’t bother or made us feel sick as daddy said.
I was dressed, and ready now waiting for my parents, Adrian even added ribbons holding my pigtails in place, we were both in the cafeteria. We heard the happy news about Chase dragon, shadow dragons, they always hide away from everyone even their other human half. But they are connected now and everyone hopes Chase would survive with the help of Masha and River.
My parents were on time, they came in when the doors opened, I was so happy seeing them, I ran and gave them both a hug, I missed them!
“Miss you too Kaiden,” mom says kissing my cheeks before dad had his turn in saying hi to me.
“This Adrian, my dominant,” I say a bit too shy to say the word daddy yet.
“So you’re the one in charge of my daughter,” mom says shaking hands with him, they exchanged a look that scared me, is this normal? They looked away after a minute, a smile on Adrian’s face offering to come to stand next to him again, I ran to his side.
“Now tell me all about you two, is he treating you well?” dad asks me.
“He’s the best,” I say blushing.
“I see you better be treating my girl well” dad threatens him again making me groan, I told them he’s the best.
“Wanna see a trick!” I say all happy to show them what my dragon could do.
“Sure honey” Mom was the first to answer, I get the water bottle we had ready for this trick, I show it to them, it’s just a bottle, but when I held it in my hand it started to get cold, and colder until it was frozen.
“You’re an ice dragon?” mom asks, I nod all proud of myself making her break into a smile, honey I’m so proud of you she says.
“Your brothers are going to die from jealousy,” mom says teasing me, she doesn’t really mean it, “They still haven’t found out what their dragon’s power is” dad adds making me giggle, I have beaten my brothers!
“Adrian, a word, please. Hi,” Anastasia calls daddy away.
“Excuse me,” daddy says leaving the table and going with her.
“My god, my baby has grown so much,” mom says caressing my face making me blush, I felt all shy all of the sudden.
Looking to the side, I saw daddy and two other people with him, they didn’t look any happy, daddy looked angry even. They were talking out loud, Anastasia had to get in the middle a few times, but from what I could hear from here, those were Adrian’s parents and he wasn’t very happy at having them here, they were late, a lot late.
After some more yelling and a few more fighting, Anastasia managed to get in the middle and control the situation, everyone else is looking at them, including me and my parents. Anna smiled and guided everyone back to our table, Adrian took his seat back next to mine still glaring at what I’m pretty sure is his parents. We all sat in the awkward silence for few minutes, no one feeling brave enough to break the quiet until mom finally spoke out.
“Hello, you must be Adrian’s parents,” mom says smiling at them, his parents weren’t impressed if they didn’t want to come why did they do that.
“Yes. Hi” his father replies before going back to glaring at everyone else, including me making me feel uncomfortable, I just stayed hidden on Adiran’s side.
“Father, mother, this is Kaiden my little” daddy says finally introducing us.
