Angel POV.
“I want cookie,” I tell the stupid babysitter stomping my foot, her name is Blair, she’s a mommy with no little and she likes taking care of littles, Ilyssa’s words, we’re kind of good friends now, we shared some gossip about everyone, and it was fun to talk about it all.
“And I said no,” she says trying to sound firm and managing to, I should obey her, I should do as she said, but she wasn’t as scary as Hunter was this morning, or even mommy Logan scary, she was firm, but not enough to get me to stop.
“Why not?” I ask her feeling like I might die without another cookie.
“Because I already gave you one,” she answers me.
“I want one more, they are tiny,” I say defending my reasoning as to why I wanted more than one.
“The answer is no Angel, you got your cookie,” she says in a final voice.
“Fine,” I say walking away, but I still had my eye on the cookie, I planned on coming back as soon as she moved away from the kitchen, but first we needed to create a distraction and I knew who to ask for help.
“Lyssa,” I whisper to her getting her attention without getting Blair’s attention, she’s a vampire and she could hear us.
“Yeah?” she whispers back.
“We need more cookies,” I say pointing to the kitchen where the cookie jar sat untouched by our hands.
“Yeah, did you ask Miss B for them?” she says, she has a nickname for the babysitter as well, Lyssa was too cool to be my friend or be left behind.
“She said no, we need to kidnap the cookies,” I say deciding with an evil smile.
“Okay, what’s the plan?” she asks me.
“We need a distraction,” I say looking around for a thing to distract her with.
“Leave it for me,” she says with a big smile on her face, she walks from next to me to Katie who is still playing with her toys, this time she has a train in the living room watching it go in circles while it makes some train noises.
She got closer to Katie and whispered something in her ear when she moved back to sit next to me, I heard Katie crying, and she kept on crying until she got Blair’s attention, Lyssa pulled me to the side telling me it was go time.
We ran toward the counter to get cookies, I took one for myself while Lyssa took two and she went toward the playroom, she hid the cookies in our play kitchen, and sat down pretending to be playing, after a couple of minutes Katie joined us, she walked in, made sure Blair wasn’t around and she wiped her eyes and looked at Lyssa.
“Where’s my cookie?” she asks Lyssa.
“Here, thank you for the help,” Lyssa says handing her one of the two cookies she stole, I looked at them with big wide eyes now.
“Is that why you cried?” I ask her not understanding this.
“Mhm, it’s mission get cookies,” Katie answered me and I loved this girl now, she got us cookies.
“Do you guys have your phones? I’m bored and the TV has been off for most of the day,” I groan, wanting to do something or watch something other than just playing with the toys, they are becoming very boring now.
“I broke mine,” Katie says with a pout.
“She was feeling very small and threw it toward the wall by mistake,” Lyssa says with a shake of her head.
“What about yours?” I ask her.
“Mine? Well, mine is hidden away,” she says with a smile on her face, I turned to Katie for help now.
“She lost it, and didn’t tell Evelyn about it,” Katie says and I do an oh shape, so there goes the help.
“How about to ask Blair to put some movie on?” I ask the girls.
“We can’t see any more TV, we had our movie of the day,” Katie says, we can’t watch any more TV, I’m bored from playing and there’s nothing else to do, I groaned and whined, I’m very bored.
“What do you usually do?” I ask them, I’m usually at work and I spend time with Mia and Alec, or just working which is sometimes better than nothing.
“We can ask Blair to take us to the park,” Katie says and I happily nod, why don’t they ever take me to the park? I got to play in the backyard, but not the big park with others and other littles.
“Katie should ask her,” Lyssa says.
“Nu-uh, I’m Evlyn’s favourite, Blair doesn’t like me that much, she says I’m a crybaby,” Katie says with a big pout on her face.
“She loves you, Katie, everyone thinks you’re cute,” Lyssa says and I nod my head yes as well, she’s very cute.
“Not enough to take us to the park, she has daddies why don’t you call them,” she says pointing to me, they were at work, but since staying at home, I have lost connection with time and had no idea how long it’s gonna take them to get over here or not.
“What time is it?” I ask them.
“After lunch and before dinner,” Katie says making me chuckle, I looked at Lyssa hoping for a better answer.
“It’s the time of the day when Evelyn would be talking about putting us all up for adoption and breaking a bottle of wine,” Lyssa says, funny but not helpful.
I groan and leave the two girls, they aren’t much of help, none of us got a phone on her and there isn’t a clock in the playroom, I don’t think any of us would manage to read a regular clock, I went to find Blair, she’s the cookie prisoner but we had some already.
“Are you okay Angel?” Blair asks seeing me walk around the house yet again, feeling restless and looking for something.
“Can I use your phone,” I ask her trying to sound innocent, and not like I have just stolen another cookie and am extremely energized now.
“Why?” she asks me back, who do I have to call? Only if she knew.
“I want to call my daddies,” I say thinking of whom I should call, Hunter was the one who punished me this morning but Logan was angry at him, so he’s most likely to say yes to whatever I ask of him now, to make it up for me.
“Which one do you want to call?” she asks, meaning Logan or Hunter but I have made my mind up.
“Papa Logan,” I say feeling very sure that he’ll take us to the park.
“Give me a second,” she says going to get her phone, I stood in my place waiting for her, and she brought her phone having dialled the number.
“Blair, is the girl okay? Did she get hurt? Are the girls okay?” Papa asks through the phone sounding worried.
“No, but it’s your favourite girl,” I say through the phone with a small smile on my face.
“Angel baby are you okay? Why are you calling me?” he asked and I felt bad, I felt angry, he didn’t want me to call.
“Nothing, I’ll leave,” I say meaning I’ll end the call, he didn’t want to talk to me and that’s fine.
“I don’t mean it like that baby, tell me why are you calling, are you okay?” he asks me.
“I’m bored papa,” I say in a whiney voice.
“You’re gonna have to use your imagination and play with your toys then, or read a book,” he suggests.
“Papa, that’s nu fun, how about you come home?” I suggest.
“Baby, Papa and daddy are drowned with work, you’re gonna have to stay with Blair for a little longer tonight,” he says, how come the only day I wasn’t there with them they decided to stay for longer at work?
“Nu, that’s not fair,” I yell at him.
“Angel Black, lower your voice now,” he scolded me through the phone and although he wasn’t here, I obeyed him, unlike Blair, he actually scared me enough to obey.
“But I don’t wanna stay here without you, come back,” I whined, trying to get him to come home earlier.
“We’ll be back but it’s gonna take us just a little bit more time, we’ll be home just by time for dinner, you get to pick you want chicken or pizza?” he suggests letting me pick so I’d calm down but it didn’t work.
“I don’t want any of them,” I say pouting.
“Then what do you want? I’ll get it to you by the time I’m home and then we’ll get you into the bath, we’ll cuddle, I’ll read you a story and then we can both get some sleep,” he says and that sounded like the most boring night ever, I just wanted to do something fun.
“But I’m bored,” I groaned angrily.
“Angel, I got work to do sweetie, your daddy is in big trouble and I need to go save his bum for the both of us,” he says.
“What did daddy do?” I ask him.
“Daddy misbehaved and that’s why he’s in trouble and I need to work some extra,” Papa answered me.
“I come and help?” I suggest anything better than staying home bored.
“No, you stay where you are and go play with your friends, papa needs to get back to work,” he says ending the call I was so angry at him, I didn’t even get the chance to ask him to take us out or tell Blair to take us out, this wasn’t my phone, I can’t throw it and break it, it’ll only get me in more troubles, I gave the phone back and stomped very angrily toward the playroom to sit with my friends.
