Chapter 26

Book:The CEO'S Delicate Wife Published:2024-8-24

Evaris Lounge,
A black Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, pulled up In Front of the night club, with Olivia and Morgan walking out of the car.
Nicholas was already ahead of them, pushing away the piles of press, who were gathered with the flashing light of their cameras.
Olivia suddenly became tense, her palms becoming sweaty as she looked away from the camera. Her face can’t be shown in the news headline, only that way would be fine even after ending the contract with Morgan.
Morgan, who noticed her obvious change, shot her a questioning glance. She shook her head, returning an assuring yet fake smile.
Soon they were inside the club. Normally, Morgan wouldn’t sit in an area where he was easily recognized or within reach.
He took the elevator, which brought him to the top floor of the building, the VIP section of the club.
Finally they were in a presidential room, which screamed of affluence and extravagant luxury.
Olivia was met with two men, they were dressed so casually, yet maintained a classic and Noble aura.
Just like Morgan, they were flawlessly gorgeous, exuding a natural charm that could easily pull someone to them.
“Look who we have here. Mmh hmm, you’ve been really busy with something. I see.” Chandler grinned, his gaze falling on Olivia.
Morgan glanced at Olivia, a smirk escaping his lips. His gaze moved away from her.
“You can say that.” Morgan shrugged, pouring wine into his glass.
“Okay, I have something to say.” Vincent hesitated, a mischievous grin on his face.
“Spill it already. I can’t wait.” Chandler chipped in.
“Do you have a sister, who’s just like you, I mean, exactly like you!” Vincent blurted out, staring warily at Morgan.
Olivia smiled, shaking her head.
“Ouch!” Vincent growled, as he clutched his chest, in a feigned hurt expression.
Olivia laughed, finding his actions funny. Her expectations of Morgan’s friends were way too far from what she was actually seeing.
She had thought that all wealthy and famous socialites like them, were always mean and ruthless. Morgan’s father proved her wrong at that and now, Morgan’s friends proved her more wrong.
She couldn’t say the same for Morgan as he was difficult to analyze and understand. This second, he’s good, the next second he’s a devil.
The rest of the night was spent with Chandler cracking more jokes and Vincent teasing Morgan. Olivia was happy, she liked them, she liked their relationship.
Morgan laughed occasionally, when he couldn’t contain Chandler’s jokes. They sounded melodious to Olivia’s ears, making her want to hear more of it.
It wasn’t long before they all left the room, heading to the parking lot, and drove away in their cars.
Olivia was already feeling sleepy, it was as the impact of having the same wine as Morgan, even though he told her not to.
But before she got to her room, she was stopped by Morgan, who pulled her back.
“You’re forgetting about my meds already?” He asked, clearly staring at her.
“Your meds? I thought I left them in your room?”
“I don’t remember. Come check for yourself, if it’s there you’d have me take it.” Morgan stated, obviously hiding a grin.
Olivia seemed to think for a while, before she nodded and followed Morgan into his room.
‘Why is he always accustomed to dark and dim surrounding’
She shrugged, her eyes searching the whole room, until it fell on the meds container, “Here it is!” she announced, heading to reach for it.
“Okay, hold on. I’d need to take a shower before taking those meds.” Morgan’s voice came on.
Olivia frowned, and turned to look at him. ” Are you that seriously scared of meds?”
“Scared? Of course not. It’s just a shower.”
Olivia nodded and settled on the couch. Her eyes darted back to the antiques and paintings she saw earlier in the morning.
Shortly, Morgan walked out of the washroom, hot and sexy, the smoke from his hot shower emanating from his body. His hair dripped wet, as the bathrobe he wore was barely closing his chest.
Olivia’s gaze washed over him, scouring him from head to toe. Her cheeks instantly heated up as she choked on her breath.
As fast as Morgan could blink, Olivia was at the door, trying to unlock it, so she could leave.
She couldn’t stand watching Morgan’s half dressed seductive body. No! It was actually her first time seeing a man’s bare body.
“Where are you going? I’m yet to take the meds.” Morgan said, obviously teasing her.
“You don’t need me to give those meds to you. It’s on the table,”
“Why’s this door not opening?” Olivia whispered in frustration.
“Few minutes ago, you didn’t mind giving those meds to me, what’s the sudden change and rush?”
“I changed my mind because I wanted to. Now please open the door, I need to leave?”
Morgan paused for a while, his gaze wandering around Olivia. He knitted how brows. “Hold on, why’s your face? No, I thought about it. Have you not seen a man’s bare body before?”
“Morgan, can you stop it already?”
As if he heard the sweetest thing, Morgan smiled, his eyes clouded with a certain passion that was indescribable.
“Say it again.” He mumbled huskily, moving close to Olivia.
“I said, can you stop it already?”
“No, not that part, I mean the first part.” He drew nearer at each word.
“Morgan..” Olivia’s voice trailed off as Morgan was now so close that she could hear his erratic breathing.
“I’d love to hear you say my name but that’d be under me, while I do dirty things to you.” He breathed gruffly, brushing back her strands of hair.
Olivia swallowed hard, as his fingertips sent electric jolts down her body. She tried to be rational as she pushed him off her.
“I’d suggest you quit those dreams of yours. Pervert!” she said, moving away from the door.
Morgan let out a dry chuckle, his lips curving into a slow yet seductive smile.
“The meds?” He said, snapping her out of her thoughts.
Olivia took out the medicines from the large container, she settled on the couch, slowly opening each tablet.
When she was done, she gave them to Morgan who swallowed all of them in one gulp.
“I’m done, open the door.” She glanced at Morgan.
“Not yet. You’d need to wait for a while, if the meds don’t make me feel uncomfortable, then you’d leave.”
“What are you busy saying? Don’t you trust Fredrick’s medications?” She fired, obviously unhappy with his suggestion.
“Of course, I do trust his medication. Just making sure of something.”
Now, Olivia was pissed and angry, she glared at Morgan, anger washing over her body.
She could’ve left, when he said she should leave but his last statement halted her.
“You can leave if you want. Who knows I might die tonight, I’m just worried about you and your mom, your father is yet to get his karma.” He murmured audibly, sinking into his bed.
Olivia silently went back to the couch and lay down. The last thing she wanted was having Morgan dead. No, the mere thought of it made her unsettled and uncomfortable.
Slowly she drifted to sleep in Morgan’s room, while she watched her from his bed.
He couldn’t let her sleep on the couch.
