Fredrick burst into laughter, as his gaze washed over Olivia, who now furrowed her brows.
“Okay sorry, sorry. I don’t mean it that way, but how’s that even possible?” He said through laughter, as he held his stomach.
“What do you mean by that?” Nicholas asked, shooting him a questioning glare.
“Morgan I know is everything but women?…talk more about marriage. Nahh, Nicole, I don’t believe that.” Fredrick shook his head.
“Well then, you’ve seen with your eyes.”
All through the conversation, Olivia’s mind has been drifting back to what Aunt Maureen said.
Is he really a gay?
“Why do you not believe it?” Olivia suddenly asked, glancing at Fredrick.
He smiled softly and began.
“I and Morgan were in the same College, we schooled together in the States. I’ve known that dude for way too long, he’s so abstinent when it comes to women that I sometimes wonder if he could get a wife. You need to see tropes of girls that flocked themselves around him then, but he wouldn’t even bulge.”
“I almost thought he was a gay.” He whisper-yelled when he finished the last sentence.
“Seems like you’ve gotten a lot of money and don’t value your job anymore.”
Morgan’s weak yet deep voice startled them, interrupting the conversation.
The room fell silent, with their attention turning towards his direction, who sat up, glaring at Fredrick like he could rip out his mouth.
“You seem to have not changed your habit of talking behind people’s backs.”
“That’s not really the case. You see..”
“Shut the fuck up and attend to me. I’m having a slight headache.” Morgan growled.
Olivia’s eyes were fixed on Morgan, as he rubbed his head. He was damn gorgeous, even when sick.
But thinking about it, Olivia couldn’t believe how he suddenly became sick, or was it related to the nightmare Nicholas Said earlier.
She furrowed her brows, deeply urging to ask, but couldn’t.
Fredrick was done with him once more, he took out some medicines from his bag, and handed them to Olivia.
“These are for his temperature, in case they run up again. You seemed pretty worried about it.”
Olivia blushed shyly, taking the meds from him. Morgan’s gaze fell on her and retracted as soon it did.
Fredrick urged to say something else, but found it stuck in his mouth. He took out his phone and texted Morgan.
F: Is it alright if I talk about the nightmare trigger in her presence?
Morgan reached for his phone that beeped with a message notification, he sighed and opened the messages.
M: No!
F: Alright.
Nicholas didn’t fail to see what was going on. It was only Olivia who was left in the dark.
“I’d get going now. It’s nice meeting you, princess.” Fredrick smiled at Olivia before picking up his bag.
He had walked a few steps to the door and released, Nicholas wasn’t following him, he paused and turned to look back.
“Aren’t you going to drive me home?” He asked, staring at Nicholas.
“You’re delusional. Did I drive you here?” Nicholas grinned.
“But I left other patients just to get here.” Fredrick feigned a hurt expression.
“Soothe yourself then.”
“Why do I get this feeling, that you’re becoming more like Morgan. That dude doesn’t have a heart.” Fredrick whined.
Morgan glared at Fredrick. The man quickly understood that his time was up. Morgan had little patience and might throw him out of his house, with that in his mind Fredrick hurried out of the room.
Olivia was smiling all through the drama. She’s never seen Nicholas or Morgan bicker or joke with anyone.
Fredrick must really be close to him, he was even using Morgan’s first name rather than young master.
Morgan glanced at Nicholas, signaling him to leave. Now he was left with Olivia.
“Are you done feasting your eyes?” Morgan suddenly asked.
Olivia frowned, “I wasn’t even looking at you.” She stated, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.
He was really narcissistic.
“Deny all you want. I caught you several times.”
“Stop spewing trash, or do you need to take your meds already?” Olivia hissed.
“I think you should be the one taking those meds. Your face is red, are you running a temperature?”
“You!!” Olivia choked, quickly running out of the room.
A teasing smirk escaped Morgan’s lip as Olivia left the room. He got up from his bed, and headed into the washroom.
Later that night,
The Diamond Club
With the blaring of loud pop music, everyone was drowned in their own world, dancing to the beat of the music under the dimly lit environment.
Xavier was sighted, sitting at the end of the bar, with his wife, Stacy, next to him. She continued straddling him, refilling his glass of wine as soon as it ran down.
“Are you sure Morgan will come? I’m sure he’s battling with anger and jealousy for you.” Stacy laughed, mockingly.
“If he shows up, it’s his loss, if he doesn’t show up it’s also his loss. I just need Mr Marco to buy a share, and visit the company himself, then I’d go show Dad that I’m capable of handling the company.” Xavier released a knowing smile, thinking about it.
“I can’t wait to see the look on Morgan’s face. He must have thought you to be weak, especially after burning your car.”
“Shut up!” Xavier barked, suddenly becoming angry.
He loathes it whenever his car is being spoken of. His mood suddenly changed as he got up and left.
“Xavi, I’m sorry. I won’t say it again.” Stacy begged, as he moved away.
It has always been like this, Xavier getting angry with every little conversation they had.
Sometimes, she gets slapped and beaten up, when she says something he doesn’t like. Stacy was aware that Xavier had no feelings for her, even a bit, yet she loves him.
It was a one night stand with him, and she got pregnant with cherry. Since he needed status, he married her, yet Stacy couldn’t help loving him more. She was ready to do anything for him, even if it was getting someone killed.
As long as it made Xavier happy she was willing, but unfortunately it was the opposite on the side of Xavier. He sometimes brought girls and ladies home to bang them on his bed, while she heard their moans and screams from her room.
