Olivia’s voice trailed, as Morgan held her chin closer, engaging her lips in a demanding kiss.
He tucked away her hair, holding her neck as he deepened the kiss. Olivia’s eyes were wide open, as she couldn’t process what was happening.
She stilled, her heart pounding so loudly that it could jump out of her chest. She didn’t dare to kiss him back as her body jotted with shivers, which ran down her spine.
Thank goodness, her towel was wrapped firmly around her, beacuse it would’ve fallen as Morgan grip was on her waist, pulling her closer to him.
Her free hands fell by her sides, afraid to do anything.
Just when she was about to run out of breath, Morgan released her lips, which made a smacking sound.
His gaze lingered on her face, her now wet swollen lips, her wet large eyes. He reached for her wrist, the one he bruised last night.
Olivia flinched, wincing in pain as she took back her hands. He grabbed them again, bringing her to seat on the bed, as he took out a bottle of ointment.
All through the process Olivia’s eyes were stuck on him, seemingly speechless. Her body was doing his bidding, even though she sorely wanted rant about him bruising her and then trying to sooth it.
She kept quiet, staring at his face, as he gently rubbed the cool oil around her wrist.
“Why are you doing this?” She suddenly asked, unable to hold in her curiosity. Her voice soft, and barely audible.
Morgan remained silent, as his gaze was focused on her hand. When he was done, he got up and left, not sparing Olivia a single glance.
Olivia’s heart was I turmoil, as she tried to figure out what exactly just happened. She was torn between forgiving him and hating him.
He can’t just come into her room, kiss her, tend to the bruise he inflicted and leave without saying a word.
Now, Olivia was angry.
She reached for a strapless siky gown and wore it, before she she at down to apply cream to her now dried skin.
Her body still felt sweet as she sank into the bed, a smile tugging her lips, and finally she drifted off to sleep.
Morgan had just come out of the shower, his hair dripping wet and his bathrobe was barely covering his chest.
His deep eyes darted to his laptop, as he saw the petite figure already sleeping. He sat down, taking out a cigarette from the box and lit with his metal lighter.
Something he hasn’t done in a long while. He puffed large flake of smoke as his eyes were still fixed on his laptop. The air in the room, suddenly having a heavy stench of tobacco.
Morgan had thought, kissing Olivia wouldn’t affect him, but he found out he was wrong. His heart was tugging with emotions he couldn’t fathom. But one thing was sure, he would kiss her again if need be.
When he was done smoking, he flicked the ashes into the ask tray and threw the stub into it.
The next morning, Olivia was up, with a pair of smiling eyes. She came down for dinner, but Morgan wasn’t there.
He might have left early.
Having that thought in mind, she started eating. She was till eating when aunt Maureen came around.
“Is Young master not joining you for breakfast?” She asked, staring at Olivia.
“Olivia paused, “Didn’t he leave for work already?” She knitted her brows.
“Of course not, his car is still in the parking lot. Young master doesn’t miss his breakfast.”
“Have you seen Nicholas?” Olivia asked, getting up.
“Nope.”
Olivia nodded, “I’d go check his room”
With that, she left and headed to Morgan’s room.
Unlocking the door, Olivia was welcomed by dark and exquisite room decor. His room was screaming of his personality.
Her eyes darted around the beautiful and mysterious paintings and antiques hung on the walls
She walked further into the room, when her eyes stopped on his figure which was still draped under the quilt and unmoving.
Her heart skipped, as she moved closer, seeing his swear-drenched body ans his face squeezed like he was in a kind of pain.
“Hey” Olivia called him, as she reached to his face.
Hot!
His body was hot, so hot that she retracted her hands as soon as she touched him.
“Oh no!”
“Hey, Wake-up, wake-up.” She called.
“Water, water..” she murmured, looking around the room to see if she could see any water.
Olivia ran out of the room, fear aand anxiousness evident in her eye.
“Aunt Maureen! Nicholas! Morgan is burning up!” She yelled as loud as she could, so the could hear her.
Nicholas was fast approaching as Aunt Maureen followed him with a bowl of water and avface towel.
Nicholas seems to be calling a doctor, Olivia didn’t know why, but her heart was racing, she was scared.
“Take this, use it to calm his fever for now.” Aunt Maureen said, giving the bowel to Olivia, while she stood at the entrance.
Olivia took the bowl from her and went to climb him up. His temperature seemed not to be calming down, as the water was now hot.
Shortly after, a doctor walked into the room. His face was unfamiliar to Olivia, but he seemed to know Nicholas.
“What happened to him?” He asked, in his deep American accent.
“I think he had another nightmare.” Nicholas stated, his voice filled with worry.
“Nightmare?” Olivia thought.
She could’ve asked, but stopped herself since it wasn’t important now.
The blonde American doctor, too out a stringe from his back and injected the liquid into Morgan’s arms.
Olivia closed her eyes, as if she was the one taking the injection. Injection was one thing she dreaded and was allergic to.
“He’d be fine. Just a little more time.” The doctor said, mainly talking to Nicholas.
“What about his running temperature?” Olivia suddenly asked.
And it was then that doctor Fredrick, recognized her presence. He was too focused on Morgan, and didn’t notice there was someone else apart from Nicholas.
“He’d be fine miss.”
“I don’t think I’ve seen you before, yeah?” Fredrick asked, glancing at Nicholas, before returning his gaze on Olivia.
“She’s young master’s wife.” Nicholas butt in.
“What?”
