In a high end restaurant, with luxurious and expensive decor, Xavier was seen, sitting at a table. He was dressed in a black-custom made suit, his dark inky hair, shaved and styled to fall by the side.
His eyes shimmered with pride and excitement. Tonight, he was going to sign and finalize the deal with Mr. Marco, which was finally going to give him an upper hand over Morgan.
He smiled at the mere thought of it, just then he caught sight of Franco, walking in with a group of two men. Xavier slightly frowned, because he didn’t see Mr. Marco come in with them.
Did he already back out?
His inner mind question, but he shook off as soon as they came closer to his table.
Xavier stood up, with a broad smile, plastered on his face. He stretched forth his hand, exchanging greetings.
The men nodded as they returned his smile, sitting on the chair pulled out by Franco.
“I suppose you are Xavier Gilbert.” Louis said, with a deep Philippine accent.
“Yes I am.” Xavier nodded.
The other man, who had brown wavy hair, with deep eyes, his name seemed to be Patrick. His gaze lingered on Xavier’s face for a while, before he retrieved them and pinched his brows.
“Well uhm…” Patrick began
“Mr Marco is our boss, he couldn’t make it, so we came to his place.” He finished, stealing a quick glance at Louis.
“Alright, you’re welcome.”
Just then a waitress brought a bottle of wine to their table, leaving as soon as she kept the glasses.
Franco poured the wine into each of their glasses, moving aside to sit on his previous position.
“So we’ve reviewed your proposal and I must say it would be nice cooperating with you.” Louis smiled.
He fumbled with the file placed on his desk, before pushing it towards Xavier.
“You can go ahead and sign it.”
Xavier nodded and took the papers, he opened it and gently wrote down his signature.
Meanwhile, in the top floor of the same restaurant, Morgan was seen sitting majestically in the midst of well to do men, who were dressed in expensive custom made suits.
Their aura and personality screamed of wealth, nobility and affluence. The room was well furnished with limited edition properties, and it was screaming of extravagant luxury.
“So Mr. Marco, you’re saying that you’d co-operate with Klein’s Fashion industry, with a forty percent share?” Morgan asked, his voice clouded with authority and nobility as he sipped his wine.
Marco stared at him for a while before nodding his head. He was a middle aged man, lean and tall. His brown shaved hair was parted slightly, exposing his handsome aged face.
One could tell he wasn’t a Filipino as his green eyes and sharp features portrays his strong American Gene.
“After this deal is finalized, my team and I will be hosting an Auction, here in Manila. A mixture of my models and yours.” Marco stated, in his deep American accent.
Morgan nodded, seemingly intrigued.
“What are we waiting for then, let’s finalize the deal already.” Morgan reached for the papers on his table and wrote domn his signature.
He pushed back the paper to Marco, who went through it and nodded, handing it to the man sitting close to him.
“Mr. Morgan, it’s actually my pleasure working with you. You have great passion and vision for business, I couldn’t let that slide.” Marco smiled gently.
“Same here Mr Marco, it’s nice cooperating with you.” Morgan nodded, as he took the hand Marco brought out.
With that, Marco got up, followed by two of his men that came with him. They were escorted out by Nicholas, who walked them out of the restaurant to their car.
When they left Morgan had a smirk on his lips, one that was cunning and mischievous. He took out his phone and dialed a certain number.
“Hello sir,” a deep male voice asked, through the phone.
“How did it go?” Morgan asked.
“It was much easier than expected. That man is too gullible, tsk.” The man sighed.
Morgan chuckled darkly and mouthed an okay before hanging up the call.
Morgan was supposed to go home after the meeting, but he was invited by Chandler and his friends.
After much thinking, he decided to decline their offer, promising to join them the next day. With that, he got up and left the room.
It was almost midnight, when Morgan reached home, they lights were still on. He frowned, hoping that Olivia wasn’t waiting for him.
Although a part of him wanted to see her, it was only in the morning that he saw her.
As expected, Olivia was sitting on the couch, this time not asleep but fully awake. Her gaze shifted to Morgan immediately as he walked into the sitting room.
Morgan paused, shooting her a glance as his gaze darkened.
“What are you doing here?” He asked, his gaze still fixed on her.
“I want to talk to you.” She stated, returning his gaze.
“And what did I tell you about staying up at night? You’ll have to wait till tomorrow, then we can talk.” He muttered, about to leave from his room, when Olivia stopped him.
“No, it’s urgent.” she said.
“What is that?”
“I want to terminate our Contract.” Olivia blurted.
“What?” Morgan’s face darkened deeply, as he turned to stare intensely at her.
