He silently stuffed the woman into the passenger seat of the car, fastened her seat belt and closed the door, then strode back to the passenger seat.
He moved too quickly. Just as Aurelia unbuckled her seat belt, the driver’s door was closed and all four doors were locked.
Five minutes after the car started, the man said calmly, “If you’re angry because of Laura, there’s really no need.”
Aurelia was silent, leaning back in her chair with her eyes closed.
Callum glanced at her, his forehead furrowed. What should he do with her?
Back at the villa, as soon as the car stopped, Aurelia opened the door and rushed out. She returned to the room and locked the door, then breathed a sigh of relief.
Callum turned the doorknob of Aurelia’s room and found that the door was locked from the inside. He looked at the watch on his wrist and saw that it was already past three o’clock. He let her rest today and talk about it tomorrow.
Back in the room, Callum called Alex and gave him a brief account of what had just happened. For a man, some details were still overlooked, such as how long he and Laura had been in the room together, how Laura sat in the passenger seat, and how long he had spent with Laura alone upstairs.
So, when he finished speaking, Alex was also confused. “Did someone offend her on the island?”
Callum shook his head. “Obviously, she’s mad because of Laura.”
He did not forget her words.
“Oh, that means she misunderstood your relationship with Laura and got jealous. Just explain it to her genuinely.”
“I said that Laura is Roy and I’s adopted child.”
“Then what?”
Callum threw the shirt into the frame and continued, “Still angry. She locked the door to her room as soon as she got back.”
Alex really felt that Aurelia was a challenge for men. Otherwise, how would a womanizer and the CEO of an international company stay up late at night just to analyze why she was angry?
The key point was that even a man who got involved with many women like Alex didn’t know why Aurelia was angry. It was so frustrating for Alex!
Alex sighed and guessed, “She is either being unreasonable, or she is too possessive, or she is being unreasonable because of her possessiveness.”
Callum didn’t know what to say.
“In fact, the easiest way is to throw her in bed and ride her right up.” Alex had treated that woman in the same way before, and it was really effective.
“We’ve never had sex.”
Callum’s words made Alex jump up in disbelief after a long time of astonishment. “You what? You’re still a virgin?”
At this moment, hearing Alex’s question, Callum suddenly felt quite embarrassed.
“Callum, are you impotent, or is she a shemale, or do you really like men?”

Callum looked out the window calmly, smoking a cigarette.
When the door closed, Alex said solemnly, “Where is she?”
“Your girlfriend saw you entering the hotel with a woman in your arms, she returned to New Zealand.”
Alex stood up from the sofa in a panic, took his red suit jacket, and said, “Callum, I’m sorry for your situation, but it’s out of my hands. I’m leaving first!”
Then the phone hung up.
Aurelia slept in and didn’t wake up until noon the next day. She looked at her room dazedly, and it took her a long time to remember that she went home in the middle of the night.
She also thought of Callum and Laura.
After washing up and going downstairs to have lunch, the doorbell of the villa rang. Mary opened the door. It was Jim.
He walked towards Aurelia with several handbags in his hands. “Good afternoon, Mrs. Finnegan.”
Aurelia nodded before saying, “Hello, Jim.”
“Mrs. Finnegan, these are what Mr. Finnegan bought. He asked me to bring them to you.”
Aurelia paused while eating and looked at the handbag Jim was carrying. When she saw the logo on it, her eyes lit up. It was a lipstick brand she loved and coveted. She didn’t buy it, because it was too expensive, costing several thousand dollars per stick.
But… “I appreciate his kindness, but I don’t want these things. You can take them back and let him give them to another woman!”
Jim was dumbfounded.
He couldn’t help but put in a good word for Callum. “Mrs. Finnegan, these were picked out by Mr. Finnegan himself this morning. I’ve never seen him pick out things for other women himself!”
Aurelia took a bite of the food and asked casually, “What about Laura’s birthday present?”
Jim was lost for words. That indeed was picked by Callum himself.
But what did this have to do with Miss Crystal? Jim didn’t understand, but he couldn’t make a wasted trip. “Mrs. Finnegan, you don’t know how upset Mr. Finnegan looked when he left this morning, but when he was choosing a gift for you, he was in a very good mood!”
“In a good mood? Did he smile or tell you in person that he was in a good mood?”
Jim was torn. He was certain that Aurelia was very angry.
Although Jim was capable at work, he had no experience in dealing with women. If he had a talent for coaxing women, he would not have divorced. He didn’t know what to say for a moment but still spoke up, “As you may know, Mr. Finnegan doesn’t like to laugh or… He’s not good at expressing his feelings with words.”
“I know!” Aurelia responded straightforwardly, leaving Jim speechless again.
Though Aurelia didn’t want to make things difficult for Jim… “Give the lipstick back to Callum. I don’t want it!”
Unexpectedly, Jim put the handbags on the table and turned away, saying anxiously, “Mrs. Finnegan, if you don’t want them. Just give them to Mr. Finnegan yourself. I’m just responsible for delivery.”
After these words were spoken, the door of the villa was closed.
Outside the door, Jim wiped the sweat from his forehead, looked at the scorching sun, and suddenly thought of Rory. Didn’t he have a good relationship with Mrs. Finnegan? Rory, please come back quickly. If he came back, Jim wouldn’t have to shoulder the hard work of dealing with this couple alone.
